When Violet performs an emergency c-section in the field, will her medical license be put on the chopping block? Here's a recap!
I don't know about you, but this week's episode of Chicago Fire had many emotions going for it. Violet performing an emergency c-section on a patient who is dead and being put into the ringer with the Chicago politics and even having Chief Robinson on her side to get her medical license back; what the hell?! You see her going through emotions, from answering Carver's girlfriend's question about the saddest thing they've seen on call to looking for someone to advocate for her.
Granted, did anyone else think that Boden would be the one coming in to help Violet? Everything from my mind to my bones felt that Boden would show up, but what an excellent way for Pascal to rise to help his paramedic in a crisis to help her that really got the crytime going after learning Violet will be reinstated.
Meanwhile, Stella is looking for Damon's replacement and Kylie to step in, but that's not what she wants because of what others call her "Mini-Kidd." After seeing Pascal ordering Kidd to pick someone by the next shift, Herrmann comes in and makes a home run hit idea that sends Ritter back to Truck and Kylie coming in to be on Engine. What a brilliant idea! We will get two female firefighters in 51 again!
Severide finds where Damon is assigned and talks to his chief about why Damon wasn't fit at 51, and sure enough, Damon gets offered full-time time at his firehouse. But that isn't all; Severide gives Damon a trip to see Benny's memorial and tells him that he needs to make a name for him and not prove that he's Benny's son.
"Though the Skin" was an excellent episode about Violet, for one. Violet's story was so powerful and full of emotions. While I thought Boden would show up, I also thought Brett might have made an appearance. It was just a feeling, but I was wrong. It was kind to see Severide and Damon see eye to eye and take advice from him about working as a firefighter. I think Carver was shocked by his girlfriend telling him she was staying and working at the bar. He's getting in more than he could chew there, and I think that what Violet told him is something he'll be thinking about.
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
