Whenever a theatre troupe takes the stage at the mansion, Sam gets a fantastic chance to shine and showcase his talents. Let's take a moment to recap this exciting experience!
Sam allows a theatre troop to use Manison's theater for their upcoming new show. Unfortunately, their leading lady can't attend, so an open audition is permitted. This, however, gets Alberta to get Sam to audition for the role.
Unfortunately, Sam doesn't want to but does it anyway. After a challenging Rocky training montage, Sam gets ready, but someone else auditioning, which worries Alberta about Sam's chances. But when Sam performs, she wins the lead role and sings.
In the meantime, Sass has been making a surprise return to Jay's dreams! This time, he becomes smitten with a member of the theater troupe. However, she mysteriously doesn't show up when he attempts to meet her. Sam encourages Jay to dream about that girl again; this time, it's the same enchanting girl, but she's especially caught Jay's attention. The big question is: could Sass actually have feelings for that girl, or maybe even for Jay himself?
The episode "A Star is Dead" is commendable for its humor. It ranks among my preferred narratives featuring Sam and Alberta to date. Additionally, the storyline involving Jay and Sass is equally amusing, characterized by an awkward yet entertaining quirkiness.
Overall, I give this episode a 9 out of 10 rating.
