Could Cami accept an offer from someone Tommy doesn't even want to be involved with? Here's a recap and review of Landman, "Almost a Home."
While house-hunting with Angela, Tommy meets with Cooper's investor, Gallino, to try to pull his son out of the questionable deal. The negotiation goes poorly for Tommy, and he walks out of Gallino's office, immediately telling Cooper to halt the drilling operations.
Just after his tense visit with Gallino, Tommy joins Cami, Rebecca, and Nathan to discuss the whereabouts of the $400 million Cami believes Monty lost. They confront Alan, who has been dodging Cami's calls, with Tommy and Cami issuing a stern warning to answer her phone.
Ariana applied for a job at the local bar, where she stumbled a few times until a customer made sexual jokes to her and handled it, and she fit right in.
Later, Tommy spots Gallino at the same club. Soon, the group expands to five when Gallino's wife and Angela join them. The conversation turns personal as the couples share stories of their relationships. Cami advises them not to hold back on their love for each other. Following this heartfelt conversation, Gallino offers Cami an investment opportunity she may be seeking after the recent financial mess, and she appears tempted to accept his offer.
Meanwhile, a devastating gas leak causes death and nearly takes out Dale's crew while they are inspecting the site. They spot dead bodies and quickly realize the danger of the gas once the wind shifts their way. Even though the gas leak caused chaos and death, the land involved looks set to be acquired by Cami.
The episode ends with a significant personal development: It's official, Tommy and Angela will be married!
"Almost a Home" was a good episode, featuring a dramatic, thrilling gas leak that turned deadly and kept the suspense high, keeping me on the edge of my seat. Demi Moore's performance in this episode was robust, particularly the scene where she shares her deep-seated feelings about love and relationships with Tommy, Gallino, his wife, and Angela. Seeing her later, crushed and sad, was an emotional peak for the character, hinting at her vulnerability beneath the tough facade. The looming question remains: Will Gallino and Cami go into business together? It seems likely. Overall, I give this episode an 8/10.
What did you think of this week's episode? How will Tommy react when he learns Cami is considering a deal with Gallino, the same man he just fought with over Cooper's contract? Would you like me to find out more about the relationship between Tommy and Angela? Leave a comment.
