This week’s TV lineup is full of emotional goodbyes, exciting new premieres, and thrilling chaos perfect for relaxing. Let’s explore what I’ve watched, and what you might want to add to your watchlist next.
Welcome back to TV Corner Notes! I'm excited to share the shows, finales, and premieres that made my week in television so memorable. This edition is a delightful mix of goodbyes and new adventures: a heartfelt farewell to one of the decade’s sharpest comedies, an emotional return to Dutton Ranch, a fantastic new season of a medical rescue drama, and a daring two-part adventure from one of TV’s most creative genre mashups. Plus, I’m looking forward to June’s biggest premieres and must-see nightly picks, so you can plan your watchlist easily and enjoy every moment without feeling overwhelmed by choices.
What I Watched This Week
This week’s viewing list offers a wonderful variety—for instance, it includes a pitch-perfect series finale set in lively Las Vegas, intense moments of loss on a rustic ranch, exciting high-stakes flights in the Canadian north, and thrilling curse-breaking chaos on a haunted island. Each of these episodes has something special to offer and is definitely worth your time, keeping you engaged and entertained.
The Hacks series finale delivers a near-perfect blend of heartbreak, humor, and hope as Deborah and Ava face their biggest challenge yet. Anchored by a vulnerable, Emmy-worthy performance from Hannah Einbinder and a beautifully earned emotional payoff, the finale celebrates the partnership at the heart of the series while reminding us why Hacks has been one of television's best comedies.

“Start With a Bullet” is one of the bleakest and most emotionally devastating chapters in the Yellowstone universe. As a catastrophic cattle outbreak pushes Beth and Rip into survival mode, Dutton Ranch delivers heartbreaking losses, shocking confrontations, and a brutal reminder of the cost of ranch life. Kelly Reilly shines in an episode that is equal parts tragedy and vengeance.

Paramount+’s SkyMed Season 4 delivers its most confident season yet, blending high-stakes rescues, corporate upheaval, emotional character growth, and plenty of heart. With strong performances, compelling personal storylines, and a bittersweet finale that leaves the future open, it's a rewarding season for longtime fans.

Episodes 6 and 7 of Widow’s Bay deliver the show's most ambitious and rewarding stretch yet, finally unraveling the mystery behind the island’s curse. Blending gothic period horror, sharp comedy, and major mythology reveals, this stellar two-parter proves why the Apple TV+ series is one of television’s most inventive genre mashups.

My Top 5 Shows to Watch in June
June is packed with major releases, comfort binges, and buzzy premieres on every platform. Whether you want kitchen drama, a thriller, or comedy, here are five shows (plus a bonus) I’m watching this month.
America's Got Talent, Season 21 (NBC, June 2). It isn’t officially summer until AGT is back on our screens. I cannot wait to see which wild, jaw-dropping acts will surprise us this year, and who will walk away with television’s biggest grand prize.
The Bear: The Final Season (Hulu, June 25). Get ready for one last chaotic, high-stress service in the kitchen. Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri return for the fifth and final season of the Emmy-winning phenomenon as the crew battles financial peril and chases the restaurant world’s ultimate honor: a Michelin star.
Cape Fear (Apple TV, June 5). Executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg, this terrifying psychological thriller stars Javier Bardem as Max Cady, a convicted killer who infiltrates the lives of the attorneys who put him away. Expect slow-burn tension, big performances, and a genuinely unsettling ride.
Not Suitable for Work (Hulu, June 2). Dubbed by early critics as a modern, Gen Z spin on Friends, this sharp new workplace comedy from creator Mindy Kaling follows five career-obsessed twenty-somethings trying to survive corporate life in Manhattan, and each other. Come for the office politics, stay for the messy friendships.
The Capture, Season 3 (Peacock, June 18). The most terrifyingly relevant tech thriller on television returns. Holliday Grainger is back as investigator Rachel Carey, plunging into the deep state to uncover high-level government conspiracies, manipulated surveillance, and AI-driven deepfakes that blur the line between truth and fabrication.
Bonus Streaming Pick: A Woman of Substance (BritBox, June 24) If you’re craving a classic, high-drama British binge this June, queue up this sweeping, eight-episode rags-to-riches saga starring Brenda Blethyn and Jessica Reynolds.
