Lioness (S3, Ep. 7) "Kiss the Girls"

Just when you think Joe is finally going home, she decides the fight isn't over.

Episode 7, “Kiss the Girls,” delivers an intense rescue mission. Joe's team closes in, but the operation takes a dangerous turn when Texas law enforcement gets involved, leading to an explosive firefight. Joe escapes, and her team arrives—but the nightmare isn't over.

Kaitlin Meade discovers Joe's kidnapping may be part of a larger geopolitical plot designed to provoke the United States into retaliating against Russia. The mission is no longer just about rescuing Joe; it's about uncovering who orchestrated it and why.

After returning home, Joe refuses to go inside. She calls Neal, says she isn't coming home, and returns to work. She knows her captors are still out there and wants revenge. It's a heartbreaking choice, especially as Kate realizes her mother isn't really coming back. Joe is physically free, but emotionally trapped in the mission.

"Kiss the Girls” is a tense, action-packed penultimate episode that delivers the rescue we've been waiting for while making it clear Joe's war is far from over. Zoe SaldaƱa continues to deliver a powerful performance, while the action remains as gripping as ever. But Joe's final decision is what lingers most. And with the finale next, things are about to get very messy. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
