The Heat is Still On: Chicago Fire "The Hose or the Animal" Season Premiere

Tuesday night's best drama is back!!!

Chicago Fire premiered last week, opening the floodgates of some great theater.

The premiere picks off the following day. Severide and Kidd are awake, and nothing seems to happen, even though Kidd's ex was in the apartment while they were there. Kidd gets the message from Dr. Charles about him and soon tells Severide about it.

Dawson and Casey are handling parenthood well. They seem to get the ring to it. After a call of a bus and getting hit with a pipe from a fired-up garbage truck, Dawson couldn't get the thoughts of what would happen if something happened to her or Casey. And with that in mind, what will happen to Louie now that he's in their lives?

With that in mind, Boden and Jimmy quickly butted heads. They've been in his office more than three times to talk, and the last one drew fire on Boden as Jimmy wanted to go back on the truck. he declined to do that, but Jimmy handed him a complaint file.

Boden confronted Jimmy in the office, and after a warning, Jimmy gave him one hell of a standstill. Boden's boss dismissed his request about Jimmy returning, and Jimmy returned to Truck 81.

But with Jimmy gone and back on Truck 81, that leaves an opening for the paramedic. And the right person came back for the job, Dawson. Dawson and Britt are back together again, and this time, Dawson gets to drive the truck, as Shay wouldn't let her (and it made me wonder if Shay did that).

Dawson and Britt's first call was a gunshot victim, and while trying to treat him, the people were getting a bit rowdy. But Antonio came to the rescue, calmed the folks, and helped get the victim to the ambulance, where the victim was his CI. But there was a glace from Britt looking at Antonio and even him. Here's the romance starting up!! Will it still happen when he goes to Chicago Justice? I wonder.

Britt has found these fantasy firefighter stories, some fictional and the rest of it hot and steamy fictional fantasy. The names in the stories seem familiar, and everyone wonders who wrote them. But Britt figured out that Mouch wrote it, and the two agreed to write together some of the best hot fantasy firefighter stories ever. I hope they come out with it in bookstores.

As the day was ending, Kidd, working at Molly's, was taking stuff to the garbage can until her ex was there and calling her names. Holding a knife, he screams and all that, but Severide stops him, and the two fight. Trying to stab Severide, he gets knocked down, and Severide picks up what looks like a stick and knocks him down, but it must have had something sharp at the end because Kelly sliced his throat, and both Kidd and Severide looked at each other.

This season's premiere was excellent. Never held back, the writing was terrific, and the performances from some of the cast members were outstanding once again. Steven McQueen and Eamonn Walker were fantastic, with the two characters on the edge (mostly Jimmy).

Severide will be in trouble again, even though he defended himself and Kidd. I question whether Casey will still run for office. And, of course, Dawson and Britt are a good match; I can't wait to see where this will lead.

Overall, this episode is a 9.5/10.

You can catch Chicago Fire on Tuesday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

Sin City Flashback: Timeless "Atomic City"

Now things are starting to get moving a bit.

With the strange engagement, Lucy gets called back in as Flynn went back to Las Vegas in the 60's. There Lucy knows learns that JFK was there in Vegas at that date an they head off, thinking that Flynn was going to assassinate JFK.

As they get there, they split up and looked for Flynn in a hotel casino, where Wyatt spots Flynn taking a woman to the back room. The two fought and took the lady from him. Turns out that the lady is JFK's mistress. Of course Flynn goes back for her, he needs her for something that doesn't require to do anything harm to her or JFK.

Flynn gets her to steal keys for a nuclear bomb that he wants. Lucy and the gang figured out where they were going and meet Flynn and his guys in the dirt road. There Rufus thought that he had the nuc but didn't and when they came back, Flynn also is back and picks up the nuc that they buried in the the dessert.

This was a really good episode from the beginning to the end. It was a lot different than the first two, where we didn't get to see a flashback of an event. Also it shows that Flynn can take something from the past and bring it back to the present, this time it was buried it and pick it up.

I thought that Wyatt got a really good storyline where he tries to pull a Back to the Future moment sending a telegram to his wife before she got killed, but when he came back she was still killed. Not to mention that Rufus tried to save his mentor/boss Anthony, who's taken from Flynn, is now another to be shot on sight.

OVerall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

You can catch Timeless Monday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

Forgettable Story: Kevin Can Wait "Kevin's Good Story"

It's one of those classic telling of lie story lines that never gets too old for today's comedies, but it still brings it a couple of laughs in this episode.

When Kevin and Donna go out with their friends, Donna tells a story of when Kevin was acting as a hero and was thrown off from a latter. The problem was that it wasn't Kevin's story that in fact it was his friend Goody, who was at the dinner with his wife.

Goody and Kevin confront about it with Kevin explaining that he forget his anniversary with Donna and needed something to tell her and well she bought it. Later Goody wasn't around with Kevin and the guys after that evening that they had, but when Kevin came home, Donna and Goody's wife was in the kitchen and fear struck him, fearing that Goody told his wife about it. But it was Goody's wife asking if he could talk to her students about the incident, but he didn't really want to.

Kevin talks to the neighborhood priest about it and gave him a thing or two about it. Kevin left Goody's wife a message about it ad met the guys at their pizza joint. He tells Goody that he told his wife and fear struck his eyes. He never really wanted to tell her in the first place because she would force him to quit the force.

But after a nice anniversary evening dinner, theater and karaoke, Kevin finally told her the truth and she didn't take it well. But she did tell him that they have both forgotten their anniversary for two years. Later she made him go with her to her principal's BBQ party and seat with him. Kevin fears this guy as he eats corn like if it was It eating and coming to get you next. After a while, Donna lies and the two get out of there.   Kevin and Donna later had Goody and his wife over for a sorry dinner that Kevin made, that was all healthy, but it was not so tasty as everyone would say and ordered pizza instead.

In my case, this was an okay average episode. It was a story line that has been done but yet it may not satisfy you but gives enough to like it. There were some really good scenes, mostly the Goody and his wife were the ones that stood out the most. The jokes of how he can't have one cookie and could lose a foot. Another was Kevin telling Chale about how he was in a band at one time, but it became a joke for him that he believed it.

Overall, I give this episode a 5/10.

You can catch Kevin Can Wait at it's new time, Monday nights at 8/7c on CBS.
