Step It Up!: Superstore "Steps Challenge"

Image result for superstore steps challenge

Sometimes you just got to motivate your co-workers to show that your store is better than the rest. Here's a recap of Thursday's episode of Superstore.

Corporate gets all of their Cloud 9 stores to do the Steps Challenge to see who can not only stay fit but who will have the most steps within the week. After getting their downgrade Fitbit watches, our beloved Cloud 9 store coworkers not motivated to do the challenge; Amy, Dina, and Jonah come up with a way to get them to motivate: telling them that another store is making fun of them.

After the first-day things were looking good; Amy and Dina took it to another level. They get the gang to think that Bel-Ridge sprayed painted the outside store with profound names. That led to everyone hating Bel-Ridge and not only calling out a customer, but some of the employees went to Bel-Ridge to make their store a mess and dump hot deer urine.

As Glenn got word about what happened at Bel-Ridge; Amy confesses that she wanted everyone to participate in the challenge because she wanted to win and also Dina wanted to beat Colleen but she didn't admit it.  Genn tries to write a letter to the Bel-Ridge Cloud 9 store manager with Garrett that turned into an "I love you" letter in a way. As things were looking good; Jonah let someone go in their breakroom. Didn't realized that Bel-Ridge made a comeback at them by destroying their breakroom.

"Steps Challenge" was such a hilarious and memorable episode. There were many moments that made this episode a standout; from Amy, Dina, and Jonah discussing how the other stores doing the step challenge; to Glenn's accidents plus writing a letter to the Bel_Ridge manager with Garrett's help.  Strong writing with great character development. The ensemble cast gave a great performance. Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

Waiting, Waiting and Waiting: This Is Us "The Waiting Room"

Image result for this is us the waiting room

Waiting is the hardest thing to do! Tuesday's episode made it the definition as the Pearson family were waiting for any news of Kate and the baby. Tension rises, admission admitted, and emotions go all over the place in this week's episode of This Is Us. Here's a recap!

"The Waiting Room" was an intense emotional drive episode that really depicts the reality of what it's like to be waiting when you worried about someone; but also have so much on your mind. Waiting to see if Kate will be okay and the baby would make to full term; we learn from the doctor that things are looking good and that it's just a waiting game.

As the episode progress, we see Kevin worried; but also the discussion of his drinking that later Zoe tells Beth that he's still drinking. Randall and Beth's working hour situation that even got Rebecca and Miguel involved thinking that they could help them, but they have other plans. They do work things out.

Miguel tries to relive the tension with a game Ranch or Chocolate that some of the foods which seemed fun; but got annoying along the way. Even Madison comes and brought donuts and even talked to Miguel about how Kate planned to have a doll of Ruth Bader Ginsburg in front of him so he can have a strong female figure.

But during Randall and Kevin's argument, Rebecca, who has been quiet, hasn't eaten and not moved from her seat, finally spoken out and talks about what she went through with Jack before he died; but tells them that they are here for Kate and the baby and everything else needs to check out the door.

Soon Kevin gets word that Kate is in emergency c-section, but soon Toby comes out and tells everyone that he's here and very small, but alive. The baby is in the NICU and as we see the episode close; Kate grabs Toby's hand and talks to her father to introduce their little guy, Jack. And asked to help their baby to make it through.

This was a very special episode with one clue being that the intro music wasn't playing. This could be one of the strongest bottle episodes in a long time; the performance from Mandy Moore but Chrissy Metz and Chris Sullivan were amazing with high emotions and strong character development. I would really consider for Moore, Metz, and Sullivan to enter them in this episode at the Emmys. Overall, I give this episode a 10/10.

The Blacklist Renewed for Season 7

It looks like Raymond Reddington's life will be spared after all.

TVLine has confirmed that NBC has renewed The Blacklist for a seventh season. Deadline, which is TVline sister site, first broke the news, that the core cast that includes James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff and Harry Lennix will all be back for Season 7.

"Congratulations to our amazing producers, cast and crew, all of whom continue to work at the top of their game and make The Blacklist one of NBC's signature series," said Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents of scripted programming at NBC.

The current season sixth of The Blacklist is currently airing Fridays at 9/8c. In recent outing on March 8th, Reddington pleaded guilty to the numerous criminal charges against him and was sentenced to death- a fate made even more worrying after he failed to escape prison later in the episode. (But with Spader's commitment to Season 7, we can assume that the forthcoming lethal injection doesn't go down as planned.)

The current season is averaging a 0.6 in demo rating and about 4 million total viewers, besting only Blindspot and the already canceled Midnight, Texas among all NBC dramas. The Live+7 DVR playback, those numbers go up to 1.2 and 7.3 million.

Impressive: Superstore "Cloud 9 Academy"

Superstore is back and it's like they have never left that made us laugh and feel. Here's a recap!!

As Amy and Cheyenne take a Cloud 9 management class at the Cloud 9 Academy; Amy isn't quite okay with working with Cheyenne as they had to come up with ideas to help their store that some were good and some of them not.

But when they had to role play and Amy talk to Cheyenne about her absence; things went improv and getting everyone in the class to participate. In the end, after getting their certificates. Amy apologizes to Cheyenne on how she behaved towards and they celebrate by going to the bar with the group.

Meanwhile, when Glenn asked Garrett and Dina to watch his baby because he wants to babyproof his office; they try to refuse but Garrett takes on the task. When Dian sees that Garrett placed the baby in the shopping cart, she takes her out and all here broke loose when the baby wouldn't stop crying.

Soon, Dina would create a place for the baby that would end up being a daycare for her and Garrett to watch all the kids. When Glenn's baby gets hungry, Dina breastfeeds her but when Glenn returns and picked up his baby, it appears that Dina has fed the wrong baby.

Also, Mateo decides to file sanctionary because of his immigration status; but Jonah gets him to create a protest group that ended up going against the President of Venezuela. Protesting and getting the news crew to cover it, Marcus tells the reporter that Mateo is coming for the President of Venezuela.

And as I mentioned before, Glenn left Garrett and Dina to babysit his baby to babyproof his office. Well, let's just say that mission complete but instead, he not only babyproof his office but Glenn-proof it as well. Trying to get out, he calls for help, sends a note through the door that would only go across the hall to another room. But he finally got out, The Shining-style, and gets to his baby.

"Cloud 9 Academy" was amazingly hilarious! The episode had four amazing stories that had such strong character development and moments that I couldn't forget. From Dina and comforting Glenn's baby to Amy and Cheyenne learning from each other; to even Mateo learning the ways of protesting. But it was Glenn's story that was probably the best; that it was totally hilarious without feeling too bad for the character. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
