Chicago Fire "Funny What Things Remind Us"

While completing a task assigned by headquarters, Boden makes an unforeseen connection. Gallo is forced to make a surprise rescue of one of their own when the firehouse is called to the site of a construction explosion. And Mouch reignites an old feud.

Chicago PD "Unforgiven"

A cop is murdered, and suspicion falls on someone who has been holding a grudge against the officer. Intelligence works hard to solve the case but Deputy Superintendent Miller is hesitant to defend him until she knows the whole story.

Looks like episode four of these shows looks too good not to miss out. From Halstead's clinical trial storyline to Gallo could be getting his big rescue soon. And Mouch in a feud with someone once again. Oh boy! And PD looks to be another intense episode. I just wonder if the suspect happens to be part of the Intelligence unit?

Chicago Med, Fire, and PD will return on January 6th at 8/7c with these episodes scheduled set for Jan. 13 on NBC.

My Top 5 Television Shows of 2020

Let's face it, we can't wait to get 2020 out of our sites. But when there's so much bad in 2020, there's much good that has to come with it, mainly with television. This year saw so much content to watch and with the end of the year, here are my top five television shows of 2020.

5. Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (NBC)

While this show's premise felt like one of those comedies that seemed cheesy at first, but it's wasn't what I had expected as we see the main character Zoey, who's the power to see's people's true feelings through song. While we see the love-triangle and workplace, it was the story of her ailing father that left an ending enough to grab tissues.

I highly recommend watching this before Season two premieres in January.

4. Perry Mason (HBO)

I'll admit that I knew going into this series that it wasn't going to be my grandparent's Perry Mason and while some people had an issue with it, I thought it was a brilliant limited series. Matthey Rhys was brilliant in portraying Perry Mason in such a different outlook. And not to mention Tatiana Manslany really steals the series, as a preacher of religion church.

Dark and gritty, this was definitely not my grandparent's Perry Mason. I do hope for a season two down the road and the return of Manslany as well.

3. Departure/The Capture (Peacock TV)

These two series that are available on Peacock Streaming Service really won me over this year with brilliant writing and ensemble cast. Both series really kept my interest without any tiredness as while the ending to The Capture wasn't what I had expected it did make a good refection to as to why it went that way. Both shows are to return with a second season.

2. Lovecraft Country (HBO)

The hype was real! For the past few months I've been hearing about this family drama series and when I finally got a chance to watch it during Thanksgiving weekend, it really did live up to the hype that everyone was talking about. The brilliant cast and writing were just one thing but the visual effects and the magic in this series were just mind-blowing.  Could there be a season two? I hope so.

1. Schitt's Creek (PopTV)/The Good Place (NBC)

This decision was as hard to make as any other show on this list. I had been a big fan of both shows since they debuted and with them ending this year they both ended on top and tied as my top shows of the year. Both gave us such a satisfying ending that left us crying and laughing. While I had The Good Place wining outstanding writing at the Emmys, I was in no shock that Schitt's Creek took all the awards as they so deserved so.

This Week's News of Reboots, Spin-offs and Sequels Oh My!

What a week it has been for television news.

This week we've learned that a reboot, a spinoff, and a sequel to some of television's best series are in the works.

Little House on The Prairie Reboot

It was reported by EW and Deadline that Paramount Television Studios, Anonymous Content, and Friendly Family Production are in the works to reboot the classic TV series Little House on the Prairie.

While I'm thrilled with the news, it's about time that this series gets a chance at a reboot. It's good to see a show that's been gone and in syndication for so long to get a chance to breathe fresh life. I love the original series that ran for nine seasons plus four TV movies; as it was one of my mother's favorite shows to watch as a kid.

Whether it's going to be on Paramount+, Paramount Network, NBC, or even Peacock Streaming Service (this week they announced that all nine seasons of the series will be streaming), I'll tune in.

Superstore Spinoff

A few weeks ago we were all bummed out with the news that Superstore will end its run this year. Come to Thursday with the news that there's a development of a spinoff with a Bo and Cheyenne series.

Now at first after I read it I was like, "wait, what?" It didn't really click for me as I thought maybe a Cheyenne and Mateo spinoff would have been better. But after a few days of thinking about it, it sounded better but I don't have any confidence in this getting a pickup.

It just reminds me of when The Office was going to have a spinoff, The Farm with Dwight and his family, but that didn't get the go-ahead pickup. That's pretty much the one example that's floating around my head that has me on a 50/50 shot that this spinoff could get the green light.

The Return to Night Court

Who would have thought that a classic 80's sitcom could get a reboot let alone a sequel to a series? This week WB and NBC are in developing a sequel to the 80's classic comedy with John Larroquette set to return as his character Dan Fielding with Abby Stone, daughter of Judge Harry T. Stone (portrayed by the late Harry Anderson), to take over for his father's seat.

All I have to say is that it's about damn time. I was so thrilled about the news and that the one thing that I hope it will address is that Abby Stone is also the daughter of Christine Sullivan (played by Markie Post). The series was supposed to end with Harry and Christine getting married but both WB and NBC messed up with a renewal for Season 9 that ended up getting canceled and holding off a series finale.

We did get a reunion with Anderson, Post, and Charlie Robinson making their appearance in 30 Rock's episode, The One with the Cast of Night Court; which gave us the ending that both Kenneth had always wanted thanks to Tracy Jordan.

I'm so excited to get this season really going in the new year to see where April and Ethan are going as it looks like he's pulling her off from taking care of COVID patients. I thought Lanik left Med? Upton has been getting packages from the FBI as they want her to join their team. Oh boy, Jay! You know what you got to do! And most of all how will Brett and Casey handle their relationship after knowing how each other feels about one another. And with the footage and shots, it looks like we could figure out how Casey got those scratches on his face.

How do you feel about the next episode? What are you most looking forward to as the shows come back in the new year? Leave a comment below!

Chicago Med, Fire, and PD will return Wednesday, January 6th beginning at 8/7c on NBC.
