St. Denis Medical "Listen to Your Ladybugs"

This week's episode was hilarious and heartfelt, making me even more appreciate this show and its cast. Here are my thoughts.

This week's episode of St. Denis Medical is my favorite of the season! "Listen to Your Ladybugs" was hilarious and rich in emotional depth, leaving me with happy tears by the end.

From Joyce, Alex, and Sernea's involvement in the mammogram program at the hospital, along with Joyce signing up and receiving her mammogram for the documentary, highlights the emotional weight of a concerning lump on her breast that required a biopsy.

Even her boyfriend, Sanderson, experiences emotions as well, and not in the proper manner. He even left Joyce while she was going for the biopsy, which left Alex and Serenea to be there for their friend. But do not worry: Joyce's test results were negative, and Sanderson, who renamed himself Manderson, returns and shows how much he cares for her even though he is scared.

Meanwhile, Bruce faces a life crisis when a dementia patient repeatedly says, "You don't have to be good." This phrase gets under his skin, prompting him to question his achievements and ask, "Who is Bruce?" and "Why is Bruce?" However, he soon discovers that the patient's words are a line from Mary Oliver's poem "Wild Geese," which he reads and, somehow, comes to understand.

Ron handles a patient whose condition is being researched on Google and attempts to provide him with guidance on what to do, but Ron doesn't need Google for help. While the patient is correct about his condition, he is also accurate about another patient's condition. But that ends when they move with the procedure and the patient shows signs of something that Google can't give—moral support.

I just can’t stop thinking about Tuesday night's episode – it’s officially my favorite of the season! The cast blew me away, and I love them more with each episode. The writing was brilliant, and I must say, the moment I reached for the tissues was when Bruce read the poem. The montage of the characters fulfilling their duties, set to the beautiful song "Strong Enough," was a perfect ending, especially with Bruce talking to his mother about whether his dad would’ve been proud of him. Damn it!

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.
