Ghosts "His Girl Shiki"/"Smooching and Smushing"

In the latest episodes of Ghosts, love blossoms and misunderstandings reign in the afterlife! As Sass navigates his feelings for both Joan and Shiki, the other ghost concepts come up with schemes that lead to delightful and heartwarming moments. Join us as we recap the charming chaos of "his Girl Shiki" and "Smooching and Smusching."

"His Girl Shiki"

Pete brings back Joan, a talented female film writer from the 1940s, to help Sass explore a new relationship. As Sass and Joan hit it off wonderfully, Sass can't shake off his feelings for Shiki, the girl he loved before his untimely passing. Just when things get complicated, Pete receives surprising news from Shiki- she didn't realize that Sass had left a dear token of affection near her place, revealing she still holds feelings for him. Oh boy!

This leads Sam and the other ghosts to spin a little white lie to Sass about Shiki, hoping to protect his blossoming relationship with Joan. However, when Jay finally decides to speak out, Sass feels hurt and confused. But after an honest conversation with Joan, Sass hatches an exciting plan to use the ghost trap to journey to see Shiki. It's a clever idea that might just work—and it leaves us on a thrilling cliffhanger!

Meanwhile, after overhearing about two friends of Sam and Jay's revenge bailing on them, Thor comes up with his own revenge by bailing on Alberta. He gets Alberta to throw a performance for which he won't attend. That backfires on him, as he attends the party to get information on whether Alberta is mad. Later, Alberta learns that he was revenge bailing on her because she didn't attend his 1,000th birthday party, which at the time she was just a newly ghost, but the two reasoned and they planned to talk it out in front of the water fountain, for which she revenge bailed on him.

"His Girl Shiki" was a delightful experience, showcasing remarkable character development, particularly for Sass and Thor. I thoroughly appreciated the relationship and chemistry between Sass and Joan; it appeared destined. Joan possesses the potential to serve as an exceptional supporting character within this ensemble. What are your thoughts on this matter?

All in all, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

"Smooching and Smushing"

As Sam and Jay try to fix the ghost trap, Sass has been having these feelings towards Joan and wonders if he is making a big mistake. But not so fast, Sass, as Joan also has feelings for Sass and gets help from Pete to let her feelings out in a role play that Sass overhears and thinks she is talking about Pete. She tried to tell Sass about her feelings, but he didn't.

Just as the trap is fixed, Sass gets in the trap, but Pete tells them and the ghost that Joan has feelings for Sass, and they try to figure out how to get him out of the trap. Thanks to Thor and his ways, they get out just in time and get pushed back into the boundaries. Thinking Joan is gone, she returns, and the two kiss on cue (damn, I need to restat watching 20th century romcoms again).

Meanwhile, Trevor tries to get memorabilia from a film he loves, but Flower believes he should use his money for good and give it to charity. That gets him and Hetty to scheme an idea to provide Flower with cash to see whether she will use it for good or for herself...never outsmart Flower as she gets back at Trevor and outbids the memorabilia that he wants so she can sell it for more money. Damn!

"Smooching and Smushing" was an absolutely delightful episode filled with charming rom-com magic from Sass and Joan! I'm really excited to see them as a couple because they truly seem perfect for each other. And how I can't forget Flower! Never outsmart Flower because it will bite you back, Trevor! I thought that was just hilarious.

Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
