The FX series returns to spotlight the messy, hilarious reality of trying to grow up without actually moving out of your best friends’ orbit.
There’s never a quiet moment when five twenty-somethings are trying to figure out adulthood while all living under the same roof in New York City.
FX has dropped the trailer for Season 2 of Adults, giving a look at what’s next for Samir (Malik Elassal), Billie (Lucy Freyer), Paul Baker (Jack Innanen), Issa (Amita Rao), and Anton (Owen Thiele). The ensemble comedy follows the longtime friends as they keep sharing Samir’s childhood home while trying (and often struggling) to sort out careers, relationships, family stuff, and everything else that comes with being in your twenties.
Season 2 will also bring in guest stars like Gaten Matarazzo, Jake Shane, and Zosia Mamet, along with appearances from Susie Essman, Raven-Symoné, Isaac Powell, Ben Marshall, and more.
Created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, Adults is a funny—and sometimes painfully relatable—look at the wins, losses, awkward moments, and questionable choices that come with young adulthood. Across eight episodes, the group will once again find creative ways to avoid dealing with their problems head-on, but at least they’re still showing up for each other.
Season 2 of Adults premieres August 27 on FXX and Hulu at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. All eight episodes will be available on Hulu right away, while FXX will air two episodes a week.
