Things are about to get even more chaotic in the newsroom as The Paper returns for Season 2, and this time, the Toledo Truth Teller might be chasing a tornado.
Peacock has dropped the official trailer for Season 2 of the The Office spin-off, and it shows the newsroom trying (and sometimes failing) to prove they can be a real newspaper. After winning big at the Ohio Journalism Awards, Editor-in-Chief Ned Sampson (Domhnall Gleeson) goes after a bold investigative story about a powerful private club, even if it puts the paper’s future on the line.
But this is still the Truth Teller, so things don’t exactly stay professional for long. The trailer features a literal tornado chase, some very questionable reporting choices, and a reporter accidentally knocking themselves out with a “sleepy blend” at the worst possible time.
Meanwhile, Ned and reporter Mare Pritti (Chelsea Frei) keep awkwardly dealing with their growing feelings for each other, while Esmeralda Grand (Sabrina Impacciatore) tries (and struggles) to take charge. The Office alum Oscar Martinez (Oscar Nuñez) is also back, bringing his classic reactions to all the newsroom chaos.
