Twist and Shocks: The Blacklist "Anna-Garcia Duerte (No. 25)"/"Zarak Mosadek (No. 23)"

With a new episode of The Blacklist tonight, here's a quick recap of the last couple of episodes.

"Anna-Garcia Duerte (No. 25)" 

As Red get in contact with an associate of the Nash Syndicate, he gets shot and killed while on the phone with Red. Thinking that it was Garvey, Red sets Liz and the Task Force on the case in order to recover the evidence that's they need to bring down him.

But the case takes a total left turn when learning that the associate's daughter happens to be his wife (now widow) and it doesn't end there when other "husbands" have been killed as well. The killings have been of the hands of Anna-Garicia Duerte, who was one of the girls that she helps killing their husbands. The one person that talked Anna to turn herself in was Samar, who might know a bit about what she's gone through.

In the meantime, Liz figures out that Red was the one that ordered the witness to disappear, but tells her that the witness isn't reliable for them to take down Garvey, but the guy is safe. But one thing is for sure, Liz will learn what's in that suit case one way or another.

The episode was very good as well as given a stunning twist to the case of the week. Also the build up to Liz getting Garvey has been breathtakingly good when it put the relationship with Red and Liz to another level. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

"Zarak Mosadek (Mo. 23)"

When Red gets the information about someone who knows Garvey, he tries to get Liz and the Task Force to come to Paris, but only getting the Task Force. There Red and the team try to get to one man who's son has been held hostage. Call it what you want, Red has one of the best times hanging and dealing with help to get to the guy. When saving the man and his son, Red get him to make a phone call to someone who knows Garvey, his boss.

Meantime, with Liz not going with Red and the team, she goes on her mission with Aram. They spy and steal documents about Garvey from another federal officer. Liz and Aram spy on Garvey at a pub, who doesn't do anything but eat and enjoy his time, but spots someone that he talks with and hugs when he leaves. There Liz takes her and asked her questions about Garvey, let alone show her the whole evidence board. She tells her that Garvey has been a good person to her, but tells Liz the shocking moment of the episode....that Garvey told her to keep away from her father.....Raymond Reddingotn.

Fun, suspense and most of all shocking when it comes to the final scene of the episode. It goes to show you that The Blacklist is still on it's game when it comes to shocking storyline moments like this one. I just can't wait to see how this Family Reunion will go now. Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

A Parent's Love: Chicago Med "The Parent Trap"

It was all about the parents in this week's episode of Chicago Med.

"The Parent Trap" serves the title purpose when talking about what this episode is all about: parents. From Reese's learning that her father is gonna die and figuring out if she should talk to him one last time, but she does it becomes an awkward moment as he talks out of his head. Either way, he did get the heart transplant thanks to Rhodes, who pushes for it.

For Rhodes, he learns that Bekker has been seeing his dad after she gets a huge basket of flowers. Or course, we know that Conner and his dad has had a family feud since the beginning of the series and after the heart surgery, Rhodes opens to her about it situation and his feelings for her.

Natalie and Will are forced to work with each other thanks to Maggie when a kid comes in with a bad bowel that's required surgery but learns that the kid has panda syndrome (yep it's real, look it up). But Will doesn't think the kid has it and that their family doctor is just pushing meds on him. It draws tension between Will and Natalie again but it opens up about how they're medical opinion isn't being heard. But the kid's mother holds a personal secret that her son doesn't have pandas syndrome but OCD.

April and Noah treat an elderly man, who comes in with what seems to be drug related but his daughter fights that he doesn't take any drugs. With the test results indicating that he's positive for drugs, it turns out that the man's coat contain powder of fentanyl, which turns the ED on emergency lockdown of that wing due to being the strongest type. It puts Goodwin in a bad situation with the hospital board committee when she confronts them about putting the ED on bypass til the drug is cleaned out.

Ethan get angry with his sister, as she doesn't return the car in time for his daily visit to the homeless kids that he's been helping. But when she finally comes, Ethan treats a kid who seems to have cancer, but needs to inform his foster parents, for which the kid doesn't want. Ethan's sister helps him by getting Ethan not to tell the kid's foster parents, but he does when the results prove right. But Ethan not only learns about the kid's decision to leave but also his sister's view on it too as she was a runaway as well. The kid did comes back to the ED, sees his foster parents, and gets treated but the relationship might not be there between them.

This episode was as good as it could be with the moments of Reese and her father being one of the best of the episode to #Manstead moments to even the worried moment between Goodwin and the board members when the hospital attorney tells her about how this could get her fired. The character development in this episode was as good with memorable moments and performances from the cast. Just three more episodes left til the end of the season, something big feels like is going to happen. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Acceptance: Supergirl "In Search of Lost Time"

Acceptances is the hardest thing to acknowledge.

"In Search of Lost Time" is an hour of an episode that dives into our characters dealing with and facing their feelings with the changes that they have gone through in the last year, mainly. But call it what you will, helping or not, J'onn's father's illness and prayers pretty much helped Kara and J'onn to accepting what was in front of them: Kara's feelings towards Mon-El (during their training with capes) and J'onn trying to help his father in a distress state.

But the main one happens to be with Lena helping Samantha, who figures out that she's Reign. When she wakes Sam up, Lena explains to her what is happening, but Sam wouldn't accept it. But after trying to piss her off, Sam did see the truth about her condition after seeing a video recording of her using laser powers and super strengthen. Sam does accept what's going on and tells Lena to not let Ruby see her til she's better.

And with all that Lena has been going through, she's pretty much accepts her relationship with James after he's been trying to check on her in the last week. But the episode ends with a creepy cliffhanger when Kara and Mon-El fly around the city star seeing dead birds flying from the sky, something to look forward to next week's episode.

The episode was such an emotional episode that dealt with friends helping friends, but a son stepping up to help his father in the most realistic and dramatic way that it hits close to home just a bit. The performances from Katie McGrath, Odette Annable and David Hardwood was outstanding with such strong character development and also gives moments that make you shed tears and feel their pain.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Rewards Are Paidless: Life in Pieces "Portrait Plagiarism Renter Scam"

From getting paid by painting to thinking of an original story even though it's not, here's a recap of this week's episode of Life In Pieces.

"Renter Portrait Plagiarism Scam" was another episode full of laughs, life lessons, and how to check up on what you would assume is someone's work. Tyler and Clementine hosting an Airbnb in their tiny home leads to Tim and Heather dealing with their renter issues. Let alone when Jen helps her client, who's a painter, get paid with his art piece, a family portrait. The finishing product doesn't win Jen over, but Greg, Matt, and others with its unique style.

It doesn't stop there when Sophia listens to her classmate's story about where missing socks go when they can't be found and uses it to help Matt and Colleen with their second book idea. But when Sophia tells her classmate that she thinks she stole from him, she realizes that the concept is already a book, leaving both Matt and Colleen in an awkward situation with a publisher. 

But the last story leaves us with a life lesson about IRS scams, as it's been used in the other stories in this episode. But it comes to John and Joan, who think that after firing their accountant, John forgot something and tries to fix it until Heather comes over and explains that it's a scam. But do you think it ends there? No, as they get an email from Joan's nephew about how he needs money incorrectly using English.

It's another funny and well-written episode that proves that this show deserves another season on CBS. This show is one of my favorite family sitcoms and comedies from the Eye Network, along with Kevin Can Wait. Yeah, it's so different that you don't see, but also, the cast is fantastic, and the writing has been so good. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Family Disappointment: Champions "Grandma Dearest"

When Michael ask Vince about his grandmother for school, but what Michael doesn't know is that Vince's mother hasn't have a clue that he exist yet.

As Michael tries to get Vince to introduce him to his grandmother. But in exchange to see Vince's mother, Michael helps Vince with his gym's website.

It takes the whole episode to understand that Vince and Matthew's mother isn't the right person to have a relationship. When they get ready for her visit, she shows up a no show but her husband comes and tells them her excuse. When Michael sees that he understands and decides that it's up to her to see him instead of him.

Meanwhile, when updating the Champions website, Michael recruits one of the gym members to be part of a website video of her journey. But when they get things ready, their recruit becomes a no show thanks to Ruby going on a date with her and abandoning her. It all became good thanks to the rest of the gm crew getting their recruit back and filming the video but also added to it with her asking Ruby for her hand in marriage.

"Grandma Dearest" was another hilarious and strong written episode I've enjoyed this episode a lot. The cast was amazing once again. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Chop Chop Glory: A.P. Bio "Eight Pigs and a Rat"

From Principal Durban trying to show how innervating the school can be to figuring out who squealed about Jack's plan for biology class. It all relays on one student to get through this nightmare.

When Principal Durban is a finalist for the innervating principal of the year award for his school, he gets his teachers to find something innervating so they can do with students and show the superintendent as well. But it turns out that all the teachers were doing the same thing in different subjects all with a volcano. 

With everything not going the way he wanted it, it all relays on Jack and his class. But for Jack, he's dealing with a snitch who told about what he did with the baby pigs for their class experiment. As Jack torched the class to his ability, he finally got the answer from Heather, but when he called his buddy, who had them and was about to shoot them at Devin's place: turns out they exploded in the canon.

But when Heather learns about the baby pigs are gone, she throws a fit and tries to trash his car. She explains that she was looking forward to the experiment and working with Dan, who she has a crush on. The next day, just as Jack brings a dead squirrel, apparently Heather brings a full grown dead pig to class for the experiment. 

When Durban and the rest come to watch, Heather takes over with some amazing set of skills, as she works at her dad's butcher's shop. But Sarika calls upon Jack to talk about one of the pigs organs, for which he calls her bluff and teaches as he really knew biology.

With the superintendent happy, Durban happy with some pork loins, Jack thrilled too but rewards Heather for what she pulled off by cleaning up the room with Dan.

"Eight Pigs and a Rat" was a hilarious episode from start to finish. The cast puts a good performance with character development. From Howerton, Brielle, Oswalt, but mainly Arm puts on her funniest performance of the season so far. Whether it's the teachers pulling the same teaching, volcanoes to Jack torching his students on who sent a message to Durban about given away the pigs away. Probably one of my favorite episodes so far. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Powerless: Chicago PD "Saved"

If you think that someone was going to be saved in this episode in this episode, think again as it holds another meaning and one hell of an hour for one member of the Intelligence Unit.

The episode starts off with Voight getting a call from a girl named Hannah that he remembers from the past, she asked about getting help but wouldn't tell him what it was about. When she leaves for the restroom, she actually leaves and Voight sees her get abducted by someone and drove off. Voight and Ruzek chase until they hear gun shots at a local bank where a couple of robbers where there stealing and shooting.

After the crew were gone, they see that it was the same vehicle that took Hannah. The Intelligence Unit work to find the car and find whoever knew Hannah. You can see throughout the episode that Voight was eager to find this girl and help her, even if she was later caught on camera holding a gun during an arm robbery.

But the truth comes out as Voight tells everyone that Hannah got his card from his wife, who was her school teacher at the time. Explains more that his wife thought could help her who wasn't going on a good path (the same thing what he did with Erin but making visits). But after Justin's death, he didn't hold up on his promise of visiting her and finds that being with this boyfriend of hers is the one leading her to the wrong path.

After finding the members from the shooting, they search and find where Hannah and her boyfriend where located at a car dealership. There it become a stand still and Voight decides to go in and try to talk them down, but it didn't turn out the way he wanted it as the boyfriend walks with Hannah outside and the cops shoot them both dead.

If that wasn't enough for Voight to handle, things aren't looking good for Al when it comes to getting the investigation off of his back. Voight is certain that he can get this fix and tries to get one of the Assistant  State's Attorney to help but really, Woods was just a step further to him and wants him to confess to his doings. Voight realizes that things are coming down pretty bad and even powerless to say the less. As he comes home, he views several of his family photos and picks up one with him, Al and Erin and just breaks it along with the rest of the photos.

"Saved" goes from the causal start for any Chicago PD episode to fast character driven and well developed episode that brings the emotions from the screen to my heart and mind. Whether it's Voight searching for Hannah to save or trying to help Al with the investigation, you would think that with Voight being Voight he would get the job done and celebrate with a glass of whiskey, but in this case you seem him become powerless to do anything. The performance from Jason Beghe's performance was amazing, probably one of the best episodes in a while to watch.

After this episode I don't know what comes next, will Voight come clean and help Al out of this serious investigation? I really don't think that Voight will take things to another level and take out Woods.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
