"When You Only got 100 Years to Live:" Single Parents "No. Wait. What? Hold On" Season Finale
The season finale of Single Parents asked the one big question: Will Angie and Will admit their feelings for one another? Here's a recap!
Picking up seconds from last week's episode, Will and Angie are freaking out nearly the wild and crazy night they had just had. As soon as they try to figure out what has happened, Miggy, Poppy, Doug, and their kids show up to help pack up. As soon as Derek shows up, Angie takes Poppy to the other room and tells her what had happened and that she couldn't remember who cuddled who first. While Will tells Doug and Miggy about his feelings for Angie and that he might have been the one who cuddled.
Poppy and Doug help make Angie and Will's relationship happen, but Derek makes Will stop it all after thanking him for helping out with Angie and Graham. But while Angie was packing in her room, she saw Will's laptop of a slide show of her and Will with the song "100 Years." Will tries to tell Angie that he loves her but instead wishes her the best with Derek for the summer.
Meanwhile, Miggy tries to help Rory decide who stays at Angie's house for the summer in a bachelor-style decision. I think it might have been Jared.
As Angie says her goodbyes, Doug gives her some JAG snacks but tells Will not to watch their show without or remember to miss her. As soon as they leave, Will plays the song while they clean up Angie's house. But as Angie listens to the music, she goes through her bag with that candle, and after smelling it, she remembers the moment she cuddled and heard Will tell her that he loves her.
"No. Wait. What? Hold On" was such a funny and intense season finale. The fierce parts come at times when playing with the Will and Angie characters, whether or not they will tell each other their feelings for one another. As much as Will wants to tell Angie that he loves her, I thought it was heartbreaking and intelligent to have him not tell her. Will is a character who cares for Angie, and after a moment with Derek that ends with a thank you and hug, he's given up his feelings for her to try being happy with Derek.
I'm hoping for a season three for this series. This show is brilliant in its way, with heart and humor. I want to see season three right now, this time tomorrow, to see where this goes. You can catch Single Parents on ABC.com, Hulu, or Google Play.

Explaining and Sharing: Single Parents "Look, This is Obviously a Sexy Situation"/"A Night of Delicate Frenching"
"Look, This Is a Sexy Situation"
With the group knowing that Poppy and Doug broke up, Will, Angie, and Miggy try to be there for them but also try to fix it.Angie has Poppy over at her house to discuss her feelings and learns that she didn't tell Doug why they broke up. Angie tells her that she should tell him that Derek is there to take Graham, and Poppy sees the two hitting it off as if they're in a relationship. After an argument, both Angie and Poppy apologize, and both agree to face on with what they were afraid to do: Poppy tells Doug that she wants a baby (they still end up breaking up).
Meanwhile, as Will and Miggy try to help Doug, there's only one person who can help Doug: President Ronald Regan at the Ronald Regan Museum. But soon, the kids found out, and as Rory knew where Doug was, he would murder him. But instead, the two talked and had a heartwarming moment. While waiting for Doug, Will tells Miggy that having a relationship within the group shouldn't happen, but Miggy disagrees and tells Will that he's proud of them and that you should hold feelings about someone.
Later, Will drives to Angie's house to talk, and just as he is going to talk about his feelings for her, Angie drops the bomb that she will travel with Derek this summer. Ouch!
"Look, This is a Sexy Situation" was a hilarious episode from beginning to end, as the ending was more heartbreaking for Will. That moment when Will finds out about Angie moving with Derek for the summer, they got the heartstrings pulling. Meanwhile, the moment when Doug and Rory talk about how even though they never liked each other this past year, they've grown a lot to like each other. Overall, this episode had good writing and character development. I give this episode an 8.5/10.
"A Night of Delicate Frenching"
As Poppy and Doug move on from their breakup, their kids think of a way to get them back together. They devise a way to make them jealous of their relationship, with Doug getting an Instagram account and showing fun time photos, while Poppy requests and shouts out to her new relationship on the radio. Soon, Poppy and Doug catch on and punish them; the twins have to suffer watching Parent Trip. Will's plan to keep Angie home backfires as Graham gets to go with Sophie to Lance Bass Space Camp. She also loses her job, and Will tries to get it back for her. That made Angie very upset, and soon the two argued about it. Shortly after the power went out, the two apologized while lighting up cheap candles and opening up twist cap wine to cheer for their one last night as friends. The following day the two wake up face to face in the room, freaking out.
"A Night of Delicate Frenching" was an excellent and hilarious episode. I'd enjoy this Rory and Twins storyline more than the Christmas episode. I even loved and agree that Parent Trip is such an evil movie. Could Angie and Will have shown their genuine feelings for one another during that night? I hope so, and I hope that the season finale will end up being the beginning of their relationship. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
Do you think Angie and Will will be together by the end of the season? To find out, go to my Twitter page, where there's a poll.

Don't Give Up: Chicago Med "A Needle in the Heart" Season Finale
The season finale of Chicago Med might not have felt like a season finale but it probably gave us one moment that will help carry us through to the new season. Here's a recap!
In the season finale, Dr. Charles deals with how a patient been putting needles in his heart, while his teenage daughter has been acting strange due to teenage love stuff. But as he questions the patient's means of putting needles in his heart, he realizes that panic attacks might not be just the cause but a genetic condition.
Will starts his day questioning Hannah's whereabouts; as she leaves him in the morning to go to a meeting but forgets her phone. At Med, Will deals with a strange patient that has a nasty skin infection; but the course of treatment almost kills him due to the fact that he used his friend's ID.
But another patient comes in with needle marks on his arm and sees Hannah coming in. The other patient happens to be Hannah's former boyfriend. Will starts to worry and after a talk with Maggie, Will trusts Hannah and they leave Med for the night.
Natalie and Crockett help a boy who has blood in the chest. During surgery, Natalie and Goodwin learn that the New Orleans police have a warrant or Crockett's arrest for murder seven years ago. Natalie does what she does best and learns about Crockett's past. She uses the information that he donated bone marrow and that the recipient who had his bone morrow still has his DNA. That got him cleared while the boy will make a full recovery.
All seemed lost for the Chexton fans, but as Ethan been doing a ride-along with the paramedics. Ethan and his team get a call of a shooting and as they head over there, Ethan goes in to help a boy with a gunshot wound. While being held hostage, Ethan tries to help save the boy. After a few hours, Ethan gets through with the shooter and just as he was going to turn in, SWAT comes in. April is there to make sure Ethan is okay and it looks like they might be with them.
"A Needle in the Heart" doesn't feel like your traditional season finale; that's the thing we need to put in our heads about. Yes, it's a regular episode but it left us with one question that could help carry us through the summer about April and Ethan. Also, Will and Hannah too. I still have doubts about her. Natalie does what Natalie does best she helps her colleagues no matter if she has disagreements or not with them. She cares and that's what we should realize about her character. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
You can catch Chicago Med available on all platforms NBC.com, Google Play, iTunes and others. Hopefully, we'll see the show back this fall!

Celebration: Chicago Fire "Light Things Up"
When in doubt, never go to work on your wedding day. Here's a recap!
Wednesday night's episode of Chicago Fire was crazy and emotional and ended happily. But one thing is sure: if it's your Wedding day, never do what Cruz did. It's Cruz's wedding day, and to get the jitters away, he decides to work the shift. That might have been a bad idea as residents from another side of Chicago decided to take a stand by protesting at Firehouse 51 about their firehouse station being closed.
Things escalated when more protesters took over Firehouse 51; even the CFD PR guy couldn't calm the situation. Casey goes to the alderman of that community and gets him to come down to talk with the protesters. But when one of the protesters suffers from crushed syndrome, Foster saves him by making an incision in the guy's arm.
Soon, things go from bad to worse when a brawl occurs, but the CPD comes in to make arrests. But Cruz is found on the ground and knocked out with a cut on his head. Back at Med, Cruz is cleared and gets ready for the wedding, but the rest of the 51 meet with the protester to show what Gallo and Ritter had done on social media that made both share their message of one community.
Meanwhile, during the chaos at 51, Brett is grieving the loss of her biological mother, and Casey, Kidd, and Foster are there to help her. She gets a surprising visit from Julie's husband to tell her that he can't take care of the child and tells her to either take her or give her up for adoption. Brett tells Casey about the situation, and he confronts her, telling her that when Brett decides, he'll support her. After the chaos ends, she sees Julie's husband and advises him on whether to give her sister up for adoption or not.
With only minutes to spare in the episode, we finally get to the wedding, and what a wedding it was for the Chicago Fire. As Chole walks down the aisle, she sees Cruz's cut and tells him she loves him as he tells her to. As they said their "I dos," the celebration began, and everything ended with smiles and maybe future engagements.
"Light Things Up" was the episode that didn't disappoint. Yeah, we knew a wedding was coming into this episode, but in the Chicago Fire style, we must deal with drama before celebrating with happy tears. This episode had so much balance with humor, emotions, and thrills that it felt like a bottle episode but, in a way, didn't. I wish there were a digital clip or episode of what Cruz's bachelor party was like. I want to know what Severide pulled off.
But the message or theme in this episode was as good as it could have been, and it's still a message we need right now. It had that decisive moment like in the "A Chicago Welcome" episode.
While Cruz's wedding and protest situation was good and all, the Brett storyline was so good as well. That storyline was so influential for even Brett to deal with her baby sisters. But I think that her talk with Julie's husband had changed his mind. Plus, I just ate up that Brett and Casey scene. Whether or not they end up together, I love their friendship. And I expect new music videos on YouTube of those scenes will be up by the weekend.
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch the final episode of the season of Chicago Fire next Wednesday at 9/8c on NBC.

Love is All Around: Chicago Med "In the Name of Love"
I guess old habits don't die off. Here's a recap!
When Will treats a patient that that has early-onset Alzheimer's, things didn't quite so good when the husband should up with her DNR. Will, of course, goes beyond for his patients and believes that she wants help and does. That upsets both Sharon and Dr. Charles, who believes that the patient's mental state is not so good.
Meanwhile., as Maggie and Ben head to their honeymoon, one of Ben's students wasn't well; learns that his foster parent forgot to take him to his dialysis. Meeting the foster parent, she decides to leave him with at Med and DCFS due to her not able to take care of him. That put the honeymoon trip on hold as Maggie and Ben decide to stay with the boy.
Crockett tries to help save a patient to give him more time to see the birth of his child but complications came and the patient died. Natalie, who was not in favor of Crockett's surgery study, tries to help him get over it. That is until his date comes.
April and Ethan's relationship could be on the verge of a breakup and after treating a patient whose husband tries to sabotage her diet. Ethan just needs time to still process it all.
"In the Name of Love" was a good episode, coming a bit own from the previous episode. That Will storyline brought back to season one memories; when Will treats a cancer patient that didn't want help but he did it anyway. I think, just like Jay, that Will has a heart of gold that he wears on his shelves when treating patients. That Maggie-Ben story was so good; even makes me think that they could be the adoptive parents to that kid. While the patient that Ethan and April were treating was a bit predictable, it did play to what the couple was dealing with in secrets and forgiveness. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
You can catch Chicago Med Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

Bonding: Single Parents "Summer of Freedom" Season Premiere
In the season premiere of Single Parents, with the kids gone for summer camp, the parents try to have a fun time. Here's a recap!!
Picking up right at the end of the season finale, Will, Angie, and the gang realize that with the kids gone for the summer, they should throw a party for each of the summer months. But when Doug tries to ask Poppy out on a date, after Poppy thinks it is a disaster, it turns into Poppy and Doug not speaking for the summer. That is until she learns that Doug was suffering from a heart attack when she placed his hand on his on their date.
Meanwhile, Angie invested in emailing Graham's father, which ruined their plans between her and Will with their super fun summer plans. After Will doesn't have the fun and dum things that he had hoped with Angie, he turns away from his girlfriend to be with Angie, which leads to them singing "Cruel Summer" at a karaoke bar but also going to Doug's tiki hut party. Later, when the group bonded for one more moment of summer, Angie sent the email to Graham's dad, but they all forgot to pick up their kids, who were upset and realized that their parents couldn't do anything without them.
"Summer of Freedom" was a fun season premiere that had good character development moments, like Angie finally getting the courage to send her ex the email that she's been dreading all episodes, but also seeing her and Will having that fun planned adventure as well. It is also a perfect song choice for karaoke. Miggy was underused as only the bridge to Poppy and Doug's relationship guru. I hope we get to see Miggy shine more this season. But the enjoyment of Brad Garrett's character, Doug, keeps improving. The writing was good, as was the performance, which was very good coming from this ensemble cast. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
You can catch Single Parents Wednesdays at 9:30/8:30 on ABC.

Chicago Fire "Move A Wall" Episode Preview
Here's a preview of this week's new episode of Chicago Fire titled, "Move a Wall."
Move A Wall"
Chicago Fire returns with tensions running high between Casey and Hermann after the firehouse responds to an apartment complex fire. After discovering something extremely suspicious during the call, Kidd and Severide do some investigating and get CPD on the case. Brett struggles to deal with her emotions while Hermann's wife, Cindy, hopes to get her interior design business on track by taking stab at redoing the common room.Photos:
Clips/Promo:
I can't wait for Chicago Fire to return! Yeah, I do enjoy a couple of week's off to recharge the old mind and get back into the show. Casey and Herrman relationship could be in jeopardy for a call that could go pretty bad. Could the fire be arson that draws in a new team of Brett and Severide to investigate it? I do miss the team up of Gabby and Severide but gotta move on. Also, after the previous episode, I've noticed that my theory of Brett and Casey romance relationship wasn't that far out there. But there is a lot that doesn't agree and I understand that. But I why wouldn't these two get together on a romantic level?
You can catch Chicago Fire as they return this Wednesday at 9/8c on NBC!

Chicago Med "Old Flames, New Sparks" Episode Preview
Here's a preview of this Wednesday's episode of Chicago Med titled, "Old Flames, New Sparks."
"Olf Flames, New Sparks"
Natalie and Will grow further apart; while Dr. Charles struggles to come to terms with his feelings towards his ex-wife. The personal issues between Rhodes and Bekker continue to cause problems at the hospital.Photos:
Clips/Promos:
Oh man! Seems like Dr. Charles will be doing everything to help his ex-wife. I still have hope for Natalie and Will and that they are going to have to work together if they want to get back together. I still have hope! As for Coner and Ava, I'm starting to see it now from Ava with how she's been acting and I just love the intense drama between these two.

Reality Check: Chicago Med "Can't Unring That Bell"
Maggie fights to keep her patient by making a sacrifice. Conner is in a situation about his decision-making of a former patient. At the same time, Will deals with not only his patient but also Conner's patient. Here's a recap!
Maggie's friend comes back to the ED again for fluid overload. But when she finds out that her patient is at the bottom of the kidney transplant, she makes the most significant decision of donating her kidney to her. Of course, Sharon does what she can to stop it, but after Maggie offers the FMLA card, Sharon understands and approves the transplant.
Conner learns that he's under review about the patient he placed in the ICU (the one where Jay got answers to where Will was being held). After learning that everything was okay, Ava said that she thought Conner did what he did to save the patient. But after talking with Lanik, Conner thinks who could have turned him in for that committee review, Ava? He confronts her and asks her and thinks that she needs help, but she tells him that he's the one who needs help.
Will deals with what I would call a hit of objective reality. Not only does he help try to save a patient who's gone into cardiac arrest and trying to keep him alive, but he sees Conner's patient was shot by a gun that had his stolen gun. He tries to see any updates on Conner's patient and learns that the kid has a bullet in the spine and can't feel his left leg, but no surgery as it could be even worse. But Will talked to the parents and got them to want the surgery, which he did, and it worked. But Will was advised to get his head out of his ass. As for Will's patient, his heart wasn't working after what seemed to be 30 minutes of CPR, so I had to stop and let him go.
Also, Natalie treats the baby she delivered a while ago, and the mother dies. She and the baby's father seem to get close and even get questioned by Will. But Natalie tells him she's just comforting him and that he could lose his baby. Dr. Charles' date seemed to go well till he learns that his date has a daughter who's a drug addict, and after trying to save her from what appeared to be a heart condition, she bails out of the ED to get drugs again.
"Can't Unring That Bell' was another excellent and intense episode. I enjoyed the Maggie storyline as she's trying to help save a patient that she ignored. What a strong performance from Marlyne Barrett. As for Conner and Ava, I can't pick a side as to whether she's telling the truth. I would hope we get to see maybe a there would be an episode where she talks to a therapist of Dr. Charles. Will needed a work day like that and maybe rethink and go to therapy, but he also got Natalie thinking that perhaps she should listen to him better instead of assuming. As much as Dr. Charles and his date were humorous at times, the rest with the drug addict daughter was a bit predictable, and it was one of the weakest stories in the episode. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
You can catch Chicago Med Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

Chicago Med "Can't Unring The Bell" Episode Preview
Here's a preview of this week's episode of Chicago Med titled, "Can't Unring That Bell"
"Can't Unring that Bell"
Will's personal issues continue to interfere with his relationship with Natalie and his life at the hospital. Ava tries to mend things with Conner. Goodwin questions Maggie's life-threatening decision and Dr. Charles tries to lend a hand to the daughter of a new friend.

Clip/Promo:
I can't wait to see what Maggie does in this week's episode. I've been hoping for a good storyline for her and this looks like the one I've been waiting for. Could Will be going off the deep end? He needs to get his head on straight and fix things before things get worst.

One Night: Chicago PD "Night In Chicago"
It's the most powerful episode of the season so far that will have you shocked. Here's a recap!
While on an undercover job to take down drug boss, Gamble,. As Atwater gets close enough with Daryl, Gamble's relative and who works for him, he gives him a tip about a friend he knows to help with the lost drugs that the Intelligence took down earlier.
But as things were to go smooth, Atwater and Daryl get pulled over by two Chicago cops. Not only watching this, Voight tells the team to wait. But when the cops got word of a robbery and the suspects were two black males, they go their way to arrest Atwater and Daryl. Atwater tries to explain but when Daryl argues with the officer and gets shot in front of Atwater. Voight comes in and talks with the officers and offers to take the suspect to the station. As Atwater gets into the car, Burgess asked if he was okay and his response was no as it's just another night in Chicago.
Later, as Voight talks with Kelton about the situation, Kelton was pissed to learn that Atwater was arrested and that he couldn't tell the cops that he was CPD undercover. But if he would have done that their undercover would have been blown. Not only did this situation puts Atwater in a difficult position to choose a side that he thinks is best but also carry out the undercover to take down Gamble, for which he did.
As Atwater rewatches the tape from the officer's camera, Ruzek talks to him and tells him that he's got his back no matter what, even if he doesn't understand being black. Later on, he met with Ray Price, who was the man who helped Voight take down Gamble, to asked him to use dirt that he got on the officer that shot Daryl because it would be the start point for Price to run for Mayor.
After Atwater gave his version of the event, he goes after the officer that shot Daryl, even though he got away scot-free. But that doesn't mean they are going to be best of friends for that and instead, Atwater takes their beef outside the bar where Atwater kicks his ass and warns him.
"Night In Chicago" was a powerful and intense episode of Chicago PD, but it was LaRoyce Hawkins' best performance of the season so far since the early episode this season. It was, as usual, the classic style of Chicago PD but then took a turn that got to an intense seriousness but also made my skin crawl as well. As much as I'm okay with what Atwater decided to do, but it would have interesting to see where would his character have gone if he took Price's offer and told the investigation team about it.
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch Chicago PD Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.

Blast from the Past: Chicago PD "Outrage"
When a blast from the past comes back to Jay, did he do the un-ultimate thing? Here's a recap!
As an undercover gig goes a bust when Jay Halstead meets a blast from the past of a former suspect that kidnapped a girl, who they never have found. Not to mention that the guy has recently been released from jail and won some money from the city due to the fact that someone used abusive power.
With Voight and Intelligence team ordered to stand down, Jay makes a heavy case to investigate that guy for selling drugs. But as the drop was about to go down with Burgess and Ruzek pretending to be partners in the dealing, Jay's guy was not there to make the deal and was told where he was at; a warehouse. As Jay gets there, alone, he sees their suspect down in a pool of blood. Jay tries to help him and also get him to tell where he buried that girl, but instead laughed and died.
Halstead being questioned not only by Voight and his partner but also the investigating detective about what happened in that time when he went in that warehouse alone Jay stands his ground and fights back. Voight and the team found the real person of interest and things were back to normal with Halstead in a way. That is til Jay and Upton had drinks and got that look with one another that something could be there still and she leaves to be with Ruzek.
"Outrage" was a good episode. It was another intense episode for Jay Halstead and another that really puts the character is dangerous territory when it comes to a blast from the past. Good writing, good performances from the cast and Jesse Lee Soffer is amazing too. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.
You can catch Chicago PD as they return tonight at 10/9c on NBC.

Family that's Together, Stays Together: Chicago Fire "Thirty Percent Sleight of Hand"
When Severide saves a father and son, can he save the family too? The heat is on Boden to make a decision for a new lieutenant. Here's a recap of Chicago Fire.
Tensions build on Boden as he has to make a decision to appoint a new lieutenant. Jerry gives him the perfect candidate Trey Jennings, who happens to be Jerry's brother in law. Whether he picks him or not, Boden makes his decision at the fire fighters fundraiser. When he makes the announcement, Boden appointed Chris Herrmann as the new Lieutenant.
I don't think that Jerry wasn't too pleased to hear and I don't think Trey is going to be crying spilled milk about it either.
Severide rescues a kid as him and his father crashed over a bridge. The accident seemed questionable when the wife/mother get to Med and thinks that her soon to be ex-husband is the one that did it. She gives some convincing points about how he would want to die and take his son along with him, but after hearing the husband's side of the story Severide decides to look into the accident again.
Looking around with Kidd, Severide looks around even a few feet away from the accident to find a dead deer. Kelly makes it back to the hospital and talks to the mother about how he found a dead deer that caused the accident, not her husband. The mother/wife seems to be very grateful and dropping the divorce.
This was an amazing episode from the beginning to the end. From the case of the week storyline for Severide to help a family before an ugly divorce gets even uglier to the intense moments of Boden's decision. Herrmann is the perfect choice for Lieutenant, and since he took the test a while ago its time for him to shine. There other moments, mainly when Truck 81 gets the call of a magic show gone wrong was hilarious!
Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.
You can catch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
Gut Decisions: Chicago Med "Heavy Is The Head"
As Conner and Maggie put to the test of saving a patient while a med student is in questioned of her methods. Here's a recap of Chicago Med!
As Conner's hybrid OR is almost ready, a patient comes in with a bad heart and is need of repair. Conner can't get him up to the OR in time and decides to use his hybrid OR, which upsets Maggie. With the typical OR nurse can't find anything, Maggie steps in and helps Rhodes. In the end, Conner and Maggie saved the patient and he thinks that she would be great if she works with him in the OR. That might come different for Maggie.
Natalie and Curry treat a woman, who's in the early stage of pregnancy, is suffering pain. All signs point out to be an ectopic pregnancy, but the mother won't consent to the surgery thinking that god will help save this baby. Even Charles talks to her but sees that she's talking and thinking clearly about her decision. Curry doesn't like it and misinforms the mother about that there isn't a heart beat and had got the surgery. But Charlies learn that the equipment didn't malfunction and confronts Curry and tells her that he's gonna look thoroughly of her cases.
Ethan and April deal with a child, who's in need of a kidney transplant. But they learn that the father is red flagged as he kidnapped him and calls the cops. As he's arrested, his son gets worst and tries to look for a kidney. Seeing that the father is a match, Gwen orders the team not to do the transplant. But the father later shoots himself in the head and Choi had no other options but to do the transplant.
And when all things seem to go Halstead's way, after treating his father's old friend, he asked if he could rent out a place that he owns for the wedding reception. After agreeing to terms, he tells Natalie about the deal. As they are thrilled about it; it turns out when a visit from Jay turns things upside down. The guy is a mob boss, who's been under watch for a while now and ask Will to step away.
"Heavy is the Head" is not only a great song from the Zac Brown Band, it's also a really great episode. As much as Ethan and April's story in this episode was very powerful; it was very interesting to see Conner and Maggie work together. The Curry story was shocking and pushing Charles is something I would be afraid to see from now on. And I don't think Will will turn down the place. I don't see why not have a wedding at Molly's, right?
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
