Secret Is Revealed: The Blacklist "Sutton Ross (No. 17)" Season Finale

Image result for The Blacklist Sutton Ross

In the season finale of The Blacklist, the secret will be revealed one way or another. Spoiler Alert!

Let's recap it: We meet Sutton Ross as he pretends to be FBI agents and steals Data and information on someone as he tries to steal someone for money. He's the guy that Red and Liz are hunting down, because he has the duffel bag of bones. After both failing to get him, Liz finally got to Sutton with his own game, pretend to be a buyer.

Just as Liz demands answers from Sutton, he tells her that he'll tell her only alone, which happens but til he starts to hold her hostage. Red thinks that Sutton is bluffing, but Aram and Cooper can't take it and lets both of Liz and Sutton go. Sutton calls Red to demand to see him or he'll kill Liz.

After making an arrangement and distracting the FBI on where Red went, Red gets there tied to a chair in-front of Liz. With Red not talking, Sutton takes Liz to the other room and being beaten. It was until Red decides to talk til the FBI came in with Dembe and Red goes in rescuing Liz. He soon leaves with the duffel bag and shoots Sutton point blank in the chest. Red walks out and heads to Dominic's house to burn the bones, thinking that Liz doesn't know, but that's not true.

As Liz is standing over Tom's grave, she's talking to him like he's actually there and tells him what really happen that as soon as Sutton talked that he needed to get out and that the escapee was Liz's plan. Plus Liz meets with the person that helped along with this, Jennifer. They planned to get Red talking, even if Liz had to get hurt badly for it. But she finally tells Tom that she knows the secret of the bones that it's Raymond Reddington and that she'll take down Red one way for good.

So okay, this season finale was everything that I had hoped and more as it was exciting, dramatic, emotional (with Aram and Samar: ALL GOOD!). But the point that I really didn't believe was Liz taken hostage fro Sutton at the Post Office. I would know that Liz would kick Sutton's butt in that situation. Megan is a great actor, but Liz wasn't so much. But I will admit that I was shocked to see Jennifer there as I really didn't think she was involved. To see two half-sisters come together and working against Red was pretty creepy and shocking. This really sets up a terrifying season six, unless Red can figure it out before Liz takes him out with her soon to be assembled team.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10 and the season a 9/10.

You can catch The Blacklist as it will return next season (mid-season on Fridays sometime in January) on NBC.

NBC Renews The Blacklist

Image result for The BLacklist season 5

Well, it looks like the mystery will keep unfolding for the bag of bones at NBC as it has renewed The Blacklist for a six season of 22 episodes.

The Blacklist this season is averaging a 0.9 demo with a 5.7 million weekly total viewers, just off half a tenth in the demo versus last season while up eight percent in audience. Among all the NBC dramas, the series ranks seventh in the demo just behind This is Us and all the Dick Wolf shows and Good Girls.

The show's current fifth season has been an eventful one for the FBI team. After losing her husband in a deadly shootout, Liz has spend the much of the second half of the season on the hunt for his murderer, Ian Garvey, who she successfully tracked down and killed in the April 25 episode.

Meanwhile, Red is in the pursuit of a duffel bag that contains unidentified human remains. According to the series creator Jon Bokenkamp, "we are going to find out the truth that is in this duffel bag and the identity of these bones: in the May 16th season ender.

With the news of The Blacklist getting renewed, there's still no word about Timeless (as both show are produced by the same company). Timeless serves up a wonderfully crazy finale on Sunday night and it's NBC's last remaining "bubble" drama that will either get picked up or dumped.

True Relationship: The Blacklist "The Kilganoon Corporation"

This week's episode of The Blacklist was one to remember.

"The Kilganoon Corportation" might as well be best remembered for the character growth and understanding of what the relationship between Reddington and Dembe really means.

After Liz tells Red about her and Tom getting married in the previous episode, Red lays the next line of work of a human smuggling ring that he use to be a part of, but thanks to Kaplan I guess that ship had sailed. In order to stop, they must go undercover and send in Dembe, who really shines in this episode.

Putting his life at risk, Dembe does what it takes to find where they put these people that are just dying to leave the country because of war, law or freedom. Just as things were going well, Liz and the gang goes in to take down the men that are sending refugees. But one truck leaves just as the FBI move in and Dembe has it.

Red hunts for the driver of the truck that Dembe is in.  He does what he can to find Dembe, as you can understand that Dembe is the one true person that has shown Red the light of good and evil. This episode really revealed the meaning of the two.

With the truck stuck and only a few hours of air left, Dembe does what he can to have order in the truck without people killing one another. Also he was protecting a scared little girl who was separated  from her parents. But just in time, Red gets there and drives Dembe and the girl to the hospital for the girl to get treatment.

When the FBI get there, Ressler has a change of heart when he sees the refugees and tells Cooper that once you actually see it, it really takes a whole affect on you. Red and Dembe reunited the child with her parents.

Meanwhile, Tom gets a lead of where Pete is located. The so called girlfriend/fiance looked up her credit and sees that Pete purchased a few things at a local gas station. There they met and looked around, Tom search through the security cam and spots him and takes photos. They found a clue to where he might be, which happens to be in a motel.

There, Tom goes in and demands answers until it was too late and he gets knocked out cold. Later, he wakes up with a man speaking about the brief case. He too demands of the suit case, he kills Pete and the woman and threatens Tom. Tom gives Red to him saying that Red trusts him and he can bring Red to him. The leads one of Red's henchman to call and inform that there's a situation.

"The Kilganoon Corporation" was such a memorable episode, mostly the relationship between Dembe and Reddingotn. Yeah we know that Red saved Dembe but in return Dembe saved Reddington in the process of being a better man. That scene when Dembe had to go back undercover again and Red didn't want to and when all was agree, Dembe asked Red for one thing, one being to watch Dembe's family but it mainly to have someone watch him to care for him. That got me choking up a bit. Another memorable moment came when that little girl scared, Dembe comes and shows her a bunny rabbit out of a tissue and his hands, which was so so cute.

Also let's not forget Tom and his doing in this episode that happens to be in serious trouble at the end. Could this be the end of Tom when the fall finale comes tomorrow? Everything seems to point to that, but even though Red doesn't like Tom, I still think that Red will do everything he can to keep Tom alive for Liz. I just have that feeling. But with someone being so happy, it all has to come down sooner or later and sooner is coming fast.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch the fall finale of The Blacklist tomorrow at 8/7c on NBC.

The Blacklist "The Travel Agency (No. 90)"

This week's Blacklister isn't quite your normal to catch a villain kind but more of a capture before he's harmed as well.

"The Travel Agnecy" is another one good hour of television that leaves you wondering til the very end about this week's blacklister. With some twist and mostly coming near the end of the episode, one being that the blacklister isn't really all in the head as he's suffering from a relaps of memory (think of it as 50 First Dates). The blacklister is given the same assignment but killing those that were part of The Travel Agency.

Image result for the blacklist the travel agency

The other twist comes when after watching the blacklisters get taken down, Liz gets thinking of what she really wanted to do, get married to Tom right here and right now at the end. As much as I loved the first non-wedding, this one was good enough.

While Liz and the team go after the blacklister, Cooper goes out his way to help a son of a friend out of danger and thinking that he's doing drugs again. He and Red team up and have a nice adventure in this episode that had they given demands on where the kid was by given the drug dealer the ulitmate high to even almost given their head blown off from the kid that they're saving.

I've every much enjoyed watching Cooper getting a nice story. We got to see him be a badass at times. There was a scene with Red given a speech about how the justice system protects the police officers no matter if they kill someone one accident or on purprose.

And not to mention Tom's search for Peter McGee, whos' taken the suitcase of bones. McGee's wife/girlfreind gets a message that she no longer knows the guy or ever met the man from a strange dude. And when Tom gets her to help him dig in Pete's computer and finds out that he's using her name for credit cards and such. That strange dude informs his boss about the girlfriend and Tom working together.

The episode had some very good moments from Red and Liz at the putt putt course to Cooper and Red during their adventure, Liz and the wife of the blacklister talks about being a mother,  and not to mention Tom and Liz getting married. I do wonder who the strange dude is talking to and how bad this guy is that he wants those bag of bones. I will say that with a small scene of Tom and Red talking about suitcase was chilling at times. I thought that writing of this episode was very good. Overall I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch The Blacklist Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

The Blacklist "Ilyas Surkov (No. 54)"

This week's episode of The Blacklist gave a twist that not only comes in the middle but the end when someone makes a call.

When a bombing happens, Red informs Liz about an Intel of the event that is by an international terrorist group. When they search for a suspect that has ties with the head of the terrorist group, they get bumped by another team from the CIA.

They split the interviewing process for one another until when Ressler gets a call from Cooper that this CIA team is not at all any part of the U.S. Government, which turns into a shoot out til they capture one of the members who thought that they were actually working with the CIA.

After the interview, the left behind agent checks out with her story but shows Liz and the team of their headquarters that turns out to be abandoned. The suspect they are after turns out to be part of the CIA but got blacklisted and disappeared. He's set to take out someone who's about to blow up a Navy Ship but was stopped by Liz but turns out the suspect was right when he says the solider walking in was carrying a bomb.

Meanwhile, Nick was found dead from what shows to be a bombing and kind of blames Red for it, even though Red didn't know about it. Later in the episode, Liz, Tom and Red were at the funeral.

Red gets into the dog grooming business and gets someone, who happens to have the cuttiest bulldog in the world, to search for someone that worked with Kaplan. He gets the person's belonging that includes a cell phone and when he makes a call to a number that happens to been called and recieved many times, he hears Tom answering the phone.

"Ilyas Surkov" was a very good and entertaining episode. With the very intense twist at the end when Red calls and gets Tom on the other line, the one momnet or few happens to be the bulldog. That bulldog, Coco, was the cutiest thing that I've ever seen and she didn't have to do a whole lot. I just wanted to take her home after Red drives away. Anyway, the writing of the episode was very good and Spader was a good as ever once again. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch The Blacklsit Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

The Blacklist Cast Change

Well it looks like someone else will have to hunt down Raymond Reddington as news comes down that Enrique Murciano won't be a part of Season 5 of The Blacklist.

Murciano announced the news himself on Twitter on Monday and promises to "See you all very soon."

The Without A Trace and Bloodline alum joined The Blacklist in April as obsessive FBI investigator Julian Gale, appearing in Season 4's final four episodes that included the two part finale. Murciano had an option in his contract to become a series regular next season but that was declined by the show.

Other news (if you missed out) The Blacklist Redemption was cancelled last month and it clears the way for the original cast member Ryan Eggold to return in Season 5, which will premiere on Wednesday, Oct 4th.

Hug Time! The Blacklist "Mr. Kaplan (No. 4)"/"Mr. Kaplan: Conclusion" Season Finale

Image result for the blacklist season 4

It was season finale that we've all been waiting for: Red v. Kaplan who will come out victorious? Here's a recap!

As Red tries to make a deal by selling weapons to buyers, apparently someone else had taken them and put Red in a sticky situation. Later on, he's trying to find any ounce of money in his accounts but Kaplan apparently has sucked him dry, talk about a messy divorce.

With that going, Gale admits to Ressler that he knows he's working with Keen and the task force that's working with Reddington and will take down him and the team for working with a criminal while committing crimes. That lead to Aram getting picked up by the FBI and was subpoena to the court about the task force and Reddington. He was granted full immunity but he wouldn't take it because he doesn't want to betrayed his friends.

Kaplan tries to get into a secret government building that holds secret documents where Reddington's document of a full immunity was placed. She takes one of the officer's eyeball out and give it to a hutch man to get the document. Keen and Samar gets there and chases him for a while but is caught by the police. Keen takes him to Red for a chat and as the guy tells Red that he can kill him all he wants that he won't talk. But he also asked for something in return if he can get Kaplan to him for which Red offers him a paradise island of his own that he had kept at Don's place (Liz's grandfather place). But Red kills him after getting the information.

Red and Kaplan meet in a theater but it gets interrupted by Gale and his partner shooting at Red. Red and Dembe escape but when Gale comes back to talk to Kaplan, she offers him that she can testify against Red. She tells what she knows and asked a full immunity but also to be left alone for a while she takes care of something very personal. She heads off to a place where a tree is marked with the letter K and she talks to Katarina that she's doing this for Liz and starts digging out a suitcase and places it near a station.

With the Task Force on their knees now, Red hunts for a man who's also a cleaner and finds him after making one of his clients call him. He not only gets him but takes Ressler to his shop where he has the Reven Wright's body in a container. They find the bullet that killed her and used it against Lauren Hitchin as a chip to get the committee to stop the testifying of the Task Force and Reddington, which they did.

As soon as that happened Gale calls Kaplan and tells her about what just happen. He gets a nice visit from Red and takes his phone from him and kind of goes memory lane with him. It was one of the most funniest scenes.

As Red calls Cooper to trace the phone of Kaplan, Liz is in root to talk with Kaplan privately and as they do, Kaplan tells Liz that she'll tell her the truth and drives her until Red's team stops them. Liz gets out as she kind of figures what the secret could be. Kaplan was order to shut the car off but instead shoots and drives off. She's stop by Red on the bridge and the gang behind her. The two face off again and talk about how this is the end. Kaplan tells him when she's dead that Liz get the suitcase. Red tells her that he's not going to killer her and as soon as she tells either way Liz will learn the truth, she jumps off the bridge and dies.

Later on, Cooper gives Liz an envelope that contains test results of a DNA test that he has always wanted to do ever since day one when Red and Liz met. Liz tells Cooper about how she did the same thing but never really looked and after looking she heads off to talk to Red and shows the results and just asked why waited to tell her this long. Instead of running, she just walks up and hugs him like a daughter should hug her dad.

But this isn't over as Red and Dembe check the spot where that suitcase was buried and sees that it was dug up. Soon we see someone picking up the suitcase and guess who that person is...no other then Tom Keen (SOB!!!). Big Surprise!!!

This was one hell of a on the edge thrilling season finale that had some nice twist and turns, even at the end. I was stunned to see Tom coming back. I didn't think he would be back this season. But he's going to have a bigger role in season five. I'm so glad that Liz finds out that Red is her father. Now that that chapter is over let's begin something new and it looks like something big is coming. I was also stunned to see Ressler killed Hitchin by mistake or was it? That was a real OMG moment. It had a lot of great scenes from Ressler talking about Hitchin at the post office or when Liz and Kaplan talked near the lake or Red and Kaplan talking for one last time. The writing was very good and very much tied up the season. I can't wait for Season 5. Overall, I give this episodes 1 9/10. Overall, I give this season a 8/10.

You can catch The Blacklist when it returns this fall to it's new night and time Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

World Coming Down? The Blacklist "Philomena"/"Dr. Bogdan Krilov"

Image result for the blacklist season 4
Hold on to your seats folks, it seems like that this season will end pretty big.

"Philiomena"

As Kaplan released the dead bodies that she had cleaned from Red, the hunt is on to find her before more damage can be done.

With a whole lot of dead bodies brought back from the icy grave,  Kaplan goes after what will hurt Red the most, his closest assists and one by one she takes them down. She gets help by Philiomena, who's a clever bounty hunter than dog the bounty hunter. This one's like the black widow of bounty hunter expect for the killing.

Red and Dembe go after Kaplan but comes short, with Liz and Samar going after Philiomena who was taking her next target Marvin Gerard. That scene with Gerard and Kaplan talking about how this whole thing she has done was pretty chilling.

But the real chill comes mostly through the episode during the investigation from one of Ressler's partners, Julian Gale, who's been investigating Reddington for a long time tries to get Ressler in the game of getting Red but don't really tell him about how his task force was to help Red.

Liz and Samar captures Philiomena and tries to get her to talk where Kaplan is because Liz wants to protect her. After a short talk, she tells where she's going and tells Red but they tell Red about the investigation of the bodies that Kaplan has released to the FBI. Soon, Red and Dembe leave to fine Kaplan.

This was a very good episode and it's just building up to a huge ending I think. The performance from Enrique Murciano as Julian Gale was pretty good as a creep FBI agent who think that even though all of these dead bodies deserved to get killed that he thinks they deserved respect. There were some chilling scenes, but mostly the one when after Liz tells Red that he can not come up if he isn't going to find Kaplan and not kill her and when she headed up to her apartment, she sees Kaplan bouncing Agnus alone. The writing of this episode was very good and a real build up. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

"Dr. Bogdan Krilov"

Talk about going back to memory lane.

When Red gets word that Kate is going after Dr. Bogdan Krilov, the man that erased Liz's memories years ago. But what Kaplan was really doing was setting up Ressler as he gets a call aout a witness in the Reven Wright case that he still won't let go that really turns out to be a set up and tries to mess with his memories.

Krilov makes Ressler believe that Hitchin was the one (who turns out to be right but with no proof). They set him up to make him believe that he met with her and talked and even followed her to her place. But as he sneaks in to her place, he tries to make her talk but Liz gets there in time to save him but not for long as he gets taken into custody for threatening Hitchin, which is what Kaplan wants as she tries to break up the Task Force.

Meanwhile, Kaplan tells one of Red's associates the truth about his son's death but when Red gets there and explain his actions, what looked like a dicing situation turns into his favor with one of his own was working under the associate so he could keep an eye out. Red and Dembe escape and gets hitch hike in a pick up truck as they try to catch up with Kaplan meanwhile, Liz meets with Gale finally and has a real conversation about the murders and Reddingotn that makes me wonder one thing: does he too work with Kaplan?

This episode was so good that even I fell for some of the twist once again like Ressler's memory and Red's tight situation. Yeah I know it's the Blacklist but I still get fooled at times. There were some good moments like Red and Liz about wiping her memory, also Liz and Krilov standoff trying to get him to talk by using his own drug to talk. Also Gloria Reuben coming back was great. Kind a wish that her and Cooper could share a scene it would be a very nice little ER reunion. The writing was very solid and good. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch The Blacklist Thursday nights at 10/9c on NBC.
