CBS Fall 2022 Schedule: SWAT And Ghosts on the Move

On Wednesday morning, CBS became the third network to release its fall 2022 schedule after NBC and ABC had done but not FOX (quite yet). So, what to expect in the new schedule?

SWAT is returning to its Friday leadoff spot, where it will kick off the new firefighter drama, Fire Country (starring SEAL Team's Max Thieriot). NCIS: Los Angeles will, in turn, move an hour later on Sundays, which will make way for the new cop drama, East New York.

The newest reality series, The Real Love Boat, will close out Wednesday night, anchored by the new seasons of Survivor and The Amazing Race.

And Thursdays look to be a bit different, with only two Thursday sitcoms now, Young Sheldon and Ghosts (moving a half-hour earlier), which will kick off into the freshman dramedy So Help Me Todd (Starring Marcia Gay Harden and Skylar Astin). While CSI: Vegas' second season will close out the night.

Here's a look at the schedule:

CANCELLED:

CBS made some changes and added more new shows to its fall schedule compared to NBC (two new shows) and ABC (three new shows). CBS has gone back to two comedies and two dramas for their Thursday night lineup (something they haven't done since the 2012-2013 season).

Fire Country and East New York look promising from the trailers, but I still have some doubts about So Help Me Todd.

The schedule looks solid, and I look forward to the new seasons of CBS' Tuesday night and Thursday night. I wonder if they will kick off SEAL Team's new season by airing on CBS for a couple of weeks and airing the rest on Paramount+ because I thought that was a brilliant move to kick off the newly rebranded streaming service.

What do you think of CBS' fall schedule? Are you looking forward to their new programing? Leave a comment below.

CBS cancels CSI Cyber

Well, for the first time in 16 years, CBS will not have a CSI series to air come the 2016-2017 as CSI Cyber has been cancelled, after two seasons.

CSI Cyber was the fourth CSI series following with the mothership CSI (which ran for 15 years 2000-2015), plus the spin-offs CSI: Miami (2002-2012) and CSI: NY (2004-2013).

The series has been on the bubble with other shows. It's going to feel so weird not seeing anything on the CBS schedule that doesn't have the name CSI.

Heart to Heart: Sunday Night Comedy & Drama

Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Boyle's Hunch"

Love is in the air for Boyle when he meets a beautiful lady at court, while he and Jake are waiting for a case.
Boyle meets Genevieve Mirren-Carter (played by Mary Lynn Rasjskub) hit it off well with Boyle but she had to go into court but by the time she came  out, Boyle was going to ask her out. The problem is that she's serving ten years in prison for fraud.

Boyle, who's upset about Genevieve going to jail, determines to investigate the case with the help of Jake by his said. The two interview her and talked about her boyfriend, an artist who's having a gallery showing. Jake and Boyle head towards the gallery showing undercover.

They not only talked to the ex-boyfriend but it was his secretary that looked odd and not that she was in latex, but that she was glad that her boss' ex-girlfriend's stuff can be taken.

But on the bright side of this storyline, Jake solved the case that it was the secretary. Jake did it for Boyle, which was very nice and buddy cop like.

Meanwhile Rosa was upset that someone's been eating her ice cream and tells Terry who she thinks it is, Hitchcock and Scully. But Terry and Rosa couldn't prove it, so they interrogated them a but but they also tested the spoon sample that was left in the trash. The two did confirm that they ate it by running towards the bathroom. Let's just say it's not a good win for Rosa and Terry when Hitchcock and Scully go running towards the bathroom.

And Captain Holt wants Amy to be the face of the NYPD to show that they care. Gina doesn't think it was a great idea and she was right. Amy brought a poster that had artwork done and it wasn't pretty. Holt did fix it with a poster of how they can help and an email address.

This episode was very good. I thought that the Jake and Boyle story. I couldn't get enough of Boyle and Genevieve talking to one another. Those two could hit it off. Also Rosa and Terry are hilarious little storyline about the ice cream. I love it when Rosa gets upset. I didn't care much for the Holt, Amy and Gina storyline. It was funny at times but more of a light humor story.

Overall I give this episode a 7/10.

You can catch Brooklyn Nine-Nine Sunday nights at 8:30/7:30c on FOX.

CSI: Cyber "Heart Me"

Two cases, one solved and it's all about one thing: revenge.

Raven and her friend, Marcie hangout at a club one night. While there Marcie get's asked by a guy named Holden, who liked her very much but was turned down as she lied to him about having a boyfriend.

But that wouldn't be the last time she would see him as he stalks her and causes a whole mess of problems. Marcie lost her job, lost her apartment, and her band account, so she turns to Raven for help and the Cyber team. Raven hands it to Amy and they check on the guy that they think could be the suspect. Turns out that the suspect is dead in his own home.

Marcie is a suspect with her fingerprints around the crime scene. Soon, D.B. and the team do some fingerprinting from the two phones that were left at the crime scene. Seem that there were two different prints.

As Marcie was hoping to get money, Holden had cancelled her transfer from her mother. And slashed her tire and offered her a ride. It was then that she was arrested and brought in. She talked to Amy and told her what had happen that she could remember.

Amy doesn't think that she did it. Of course, she didn't do it Amy, this is all about someone getting their feelings hurt because he didn't get what he wanted. As soon as Marcie was released, Raven gives her a laptop and phone that no one can access, not even Raven. That turned out to be wrong, as Holden messaged her by phone. That was due to her connection to Raven from HeartMate app.

Raven informs Marcie about it and Marcie turns the tables towards Holden and gets him to meet at a spot til the FBI catches him. Raven had to talk Marcie down when she had a box cutter in her hand, wanting to kill him. Close one no doubt there.

I should mention that Van Der Beek's character goes through some emotional state. Last week we learn that his dad has cancer and doesn't want to be treated. It was when he picked up his daughter that he had a really good emotional moment when he broke down and his daughter tells her that it's going to be fine.

Not to forget, the other case in this episode wasn't solved. Trying to take down a website that shows revenge photos of women that send sexy photos to their boyfriends.

I enjoyed this episode well. I loved that Raven got a good episode. I could never get enough of D.B.'s inventions.

Overall, I give this episode a 7/10.

You can catch CSI: Cyber Sunday nights at 10/9c on CBS.

Sunday Night Premiere & Series Finale

Sunday night was a night of premieres and a series finale to one historic television series.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine "New Captain"

In the season three premiere the show returns with a new look in the department as Captain Holt was transferred to another department. The nine-nine is gets their new captain, Seth Dozerman, played by Bill Hader.

Dozerman doesn't want any playful or wasteful of work time in his department, He not only suffers from one heart attack but two and dies after his second day on the job.

Meanwhile for Holt, his assignment for his new job was to help out decide what name fits the best for their mascot, a pigeon.  But I couldn't get enough of Bureau Chief Wuntch making Holt's first day a living hell. Even when Holt had to be the mascot and the look he had when the head was put on, was just hilarious.

Also can't leave out that Jake and Amy are in a relationship but trying to follow the rules but also breaking them as well. Trying not the let others know that they are together just seemed more trouble than just telling them. Even if it did cause Captain Dozerman to die of a heart attack.

But with Dozerman gone, a new Captain is set and his name is Pembroke.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Brooklyn Nine-Nine Sunday nights at 8:30/7:30c on FOX

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: "Immortally"

This is just a reflection of the series itself and some remarks on the series finale of one of television's best crime investigation series. The series comes to a close after 15 years on television changing the way crime series does their science.

In the finale, Grissom, Wiliows and Brass comes back to the series for one last investigation. A series of bombers are attacking around Las Vegas and it brings everyone together to find a familiar face who's the suspect, Dr. Kessler.

In order to find her, they bring back Grissom to help. And boy does the sparks go off when Sidle and him seen each other for the first time in awhile.

It turns out that it wasn't Kessler who had sent the bombers. But a former patient of her's who grow too emotional to her thinking that he was the one for her. But with Grissom's smart tactic on talking to him down.

The series ends with new chapters, goodbyes and happy ends. D.B. is moving to DC for next week's season premiere of CSI Cyber. Wiliow is staying in Vegas and hopes to take the director of the department if Sadle wasn't going to take it.

But as for Sara and Grissom. they are out to sea on their adventure together, where they belong.

I was never a fan of the original series. But i did catch a few episodes from time to time. I will admit that it's a landmark series and just like Law & Order and even ER the series will live in history.

And now the series lives on in CSI Cyber, which again premieres next Sunday at 10/9c on CBS.

In the sixth season premiere, a murder leads Five-O to investigate a centuries-old pirate story involving buried treasure, and it seems that the killer is using the back of a stolen painting as a treasure map.
