Secrets Come Out: Supergirl "Of Two Minds"/"Trinity"

Image result for supergirl of two minds

"Of Two Minds"

After the end of the previous episode of seeing birds dying around the city, now it's an epidemic in National City as the people are infected. With everyone having a scratch on them, they try to figure out the source. But when that source they found turns up dead, it leads up to someone that is know as Pestilence.

Figuring out who, Pestilence is a doctor named Grace, Supergirl, Mon-El and Imra go after her, not only to try to take her down, but to get her DNA for treatment that's still needed as Wen and Alex are infected too.

The battle stops as Kara gets scratched, but also Imra gets Pestilence's DNA before Purity came and stopped the party to rescued her.

As Wen, Alex and Kara are all well, they try to track down Purity with her sonic sound and it leads to L-Crop. That's where Lena has been trying to find a cure to help Sam but just as Kara and the team get there, the World Killers unite and it looks like Lena has some explaining to do.

"Of Two Minds" was an amazing episode from the storyline of Sam and Lena to Sam facing Reign. ut I really enjoyed the face to face of different opinions of Kara and Imra, who are trying to figure out a way to stop these guys: either talk or to fight.

Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

"Trinity"

Holy Hell! Talk about a thrilling ending to say the least.

Lena talks to Kara, Mon-El, Alex and the rest about her helping Sam and why she did it. It builds a distrust to Kara that Lena. Learning that there's a way to be connected with Sam, both Kara, Alex and Lena were sent to Julu, a Kryptonian Valley, thanks to Brainaic.

There Sam and Julia try to find a way to remember who they are to fight against their counterparts. As Kara and the team found them, Sam fights Reign, switching back to her own body and gives the signal to where they are located. Brainaic brings back Alex, Lena and Kara and head there to fight, with Alex getting a kick-ass new suit and gun.

As they battled the World Killers, all seems to be going the Killers way til Kara and Alex get Julia to come back and fight against Reign and Purity. But Purity tries to kill Julia but still uses her powers to kill her and as they died their powers embodied Reign and she escapes.

It seems that Lena and Kara are in good speaking terms, while James tells Lena that he's Guardian and also looked into her office to find more Kryptonite. But that he lied to Supergirl about not finding anymore as he didn't eve look in the vault. Lena tells him that it was made not from Lex's keeping.

Meanwhile, Reign comes to terms that to get rid of Sam, she'll have to take out her daughter. As Sam is still trapped in Julu and in pain.

"Trinity" was a well written episode that had many moments from Lena and Kara to the World Killers fighting one another. Even the big moment of James opening up to Lena about his secret and his trust for her.

Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Supergirl on The CW.

Risky Girl's Trip: Supergirl "Fort Rozz"

Image result for supergirl fort rozz

Talk about a risky girls' trip that ended with a surprising sacrifice.

To get information about Reign, Supergirl has to meet with someone who happens to be in Fort Rozz, the prison ship that Supergirl and J'onn got rid of. But Kara couldn't go in by herself because where the boat is located, there is no sun. So that leads her to bring Saturn, Girl, Psi and Livewire along for the journey.

The trip at first was a bumpy one for all, but after Psi accidentally used her power on Saturn Girl, Kara puts the straps back on. But the Rozz was soon getting pulled into the star; Saturn tries to get a connection to the DEO, while Kara and Livewire look for Jindah Kol Rozz and get a couple of words from her til Reign is there and kills Rozz.

Soon, Livewire fights Reign and gives her a jolt of electricity, but when she is down and Reign is about to attack Kara, Leslie sacrifices and takes the shot from Reign. But Psi makes it there and gives Reign something to consider: fear. And that let her show her emotions and run away. But leaving Kara to attend with Leslie, who dies from the laser shot from Reign, Kara and Leslie have an unfortunate and emotional moment.

Meanwhile, with Alex still with a broken leg, she babysits Ruby for Samantha while she's on a business trip she never went. As they had some fun, Alex helped Ruby with a cyberbullying problem that had her confront the bully and made her almost crap her pants. But while she was assisting Ruby, Ruby was helping her deal with Maggie after texting her about her passport. But after a lovely time babysitting, she sees that Samantha isn't herself as Sam tells her that she doesn't remember going on the business trip.

"Fort Rozz" was a good and sad episode, as, yes, Livewire died. Livewire was one of my favorite villains in the Supergirl series. I didn't think this would be her endgame, but maybe she will come back (with fingers crossed because the Superhero series seems to have that soap opera coming back to life). Samantha's true self emerges in Reign when Psi gives her a mindset of fear of losing Ruby.

Rozz tells Kara that there are more World Killers like Reign living on Earth, and at the end of the episode, we see one of them as she survives a car accident when the car smashes her between another vehicle—a true sign of things to come and building very well.

I enjoyed this episode a lot. The writing was well done and given a sad twist with Livewire. The performance from Benoist, Morgan, Amy Jackson, and Grobgias was excellent, and Jesse Rath and Jeremy Jordan stole some scenes with their way of handling hilarious things. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10

You can catch Supergirl on Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.

"Best Wedding Ever!" Supergirl "Crisis on Earth-X part 1"

Related image

I agree with Heat Wave: "Best Wedding Ever."

Part one of the four-part epic crossover event, kicking off last night with Supergirl, delivered such an entertaining episode and set a great tone for the next episode.

In the parallel world, Earth-X, where the Nazi regime has ruled the planet, a dark hooded archer called Dark Arrow kills the American loyalists and others that are part of the resistance. Dark Arrow takes on The Guardian and, after a couple of seconds of battling, kills him. He joins his team as they are about to take a machine that will make sure they spread their hatred. Dark Arrow orders his team but changes when his partner Overgirl gives her orders.

Meanwhile, there's a wedding coming with Iris and Barry. They wonder if the others (Supergirl, Arrow, and the Legends) have RSVP their invitations, for which we get to see some kick-ass fighting scenes with our favorite DC TV heroes, but Kara and Alex get a moment during their bond time and decide to go.

With the girls having their time, Barry and Oliver have their Groom/Best Man talk about settling down, which is excellent and funny, with Barry making a joke that Oliver doesn't laugh at all. During the dinner, with everyone there, Iris' father gives a heartfelt speech about how they helped him find his way back to love again. The dinner had other great moments, one being Alex and Sara drinking up and having a one-night stand. The other Oliver is talking to Felicity about settling down, but she doesn't want to and walks away.

As the wedding begins, Kara sings, and just as the wedding starts, the minister is killed by Overgirl. After a fascinating and entertaining fight scene, Kara injures Overgirl during the fight, and the Nazis retreat, but our heroes capture Dark Arrow's partner Prometheus.

Dark Arrow and Overgirl discuss the plan and meet with the yellow speedster, who discuss their next step. Dark Arrow and Overgirl unmasked themselves and are revealed to be the parallel universe doppelgangers of Oliver Queen and Kara. The yellow speedster is Barry's presumed deceased nemesis, Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash.

"Crisis on Earth-X Part 1" was nothing but stunning. The first part of the crossover event delivered such a kick-ass start with such thrilling to humoring moments, mostly coming from Heat Wave and even the moments with Sara and Alex, for which I'm down with that relationship if anyone has any objections. The drama between Oliver and Felicity was excellent, and I assume it'll carry good for the next episode. I think this might be one of the best crossover events than the one last season. The writing was excellent, and the performances go to an equal amount of everyone's effort. Overall, I give this episode 9/10.

You can catch the epic crossover event with Arrow last night and tonight's episode of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow beginning at 8/7c on The CW. You can see the fall finale of Supergirl following Monday at 8/7c on The CW.
