"Let Me Save You This Time" Supergirl "Suspicious Minds"

Image result for supergirl suspicious minds

With Kara not working for the DEO, that doesn't mean she's not gonna stop her from doing her one job: saving people. But when an attack occurs at a military ship, Col. Haley dismisses her from the scene and advise not to investigate. But behind her back, Alex and Kara try to find what caused the deaths of the military officers.

Alex and Kara get help from J'onn and looking forward to what is known as shimmers that can attack while being invisible. As they got a lead; they learn that these shimmers were experimented for testing. As Kara tries to talk to one of them, it kills itself instead. But one of them makes it to the DEO and with everyone using extreme measures like using real guns. As it seemed that they were losing the battle; Col. Haley gets cornered by one of them and is almost attacked til Supergirl shows up and saves her.

Haley gives her somewhat of a thank you, learned Supergirl's identity and demands to follow her orders til Alex knocks her out. J'onn comes in and tries to take out the interest of who Supergirl is. That is until they found a way; J'onn wipes everyone's memory of who's Supergirl; from colleagues who care to yes even Alex.Alex explains to Kara in one simple way "Let me save you this time."

Meanwhile, Brainy takes out Nia to dinner and in a first date proposal way, he asked her if she would want to join and help with Supergirl.

"Suspicious Minds" was a fine and interest episode. The one funny and happy moment was from Brainy and Nia date; to Kara and J'onn investigating at his PI office. But mostly everything else was very intense to say from mostly Haley and Alex's standoffs on what's right and wrong for the DEO and Haley's search for the identity of Supergirl. That quote "let me save you this time," has been stuck in my head and shed some tears. Not only was it heartbreaking but it seemed like another game changer for the show once again. Overall, I give this episode an 8/10.

You can catch Supergirl Sundays at 8/7c on The CW.

Hope: Supergirl "American Alien" Season Premiere

Well, we've been waiting since June for the season premiere of Supergirl. With everything going so well, there's a change that's coming and it's not in a good way.

We see that with Superman out, Kara has been pulling double duty not only rescuing people around the world like a train in Kazakhstan, but also working at Cat Co. On the one year anniversary of the Alien Amnesty Act,  there's a movement that are attacking aliens.

Kara meets with Mercy and Otis Graves, who stole a hard drive from Dr. Vose office. They use high technology gadgets on her. But later she learns that the Graves, not only worked with Lex Luther, but are disturbing weapons to take out aliens living in the world.  One of which tries to take out the bar, where J'onn was at.

Kara and Brainaic find that Mercy and Otis are going to take the summit at Camp David. Even thought they didn't take out the President, they literally lit the fire of showing video of the President as an alien. But Kara captures Otis, who's like Johnny Knoxville in a way.

But it wasn't til the end when we see  Agent Liberty, who's taken out aliens, killing one of J'onn's friends.

In the meantime;  J'onn has become a "life guide to a better life" guide, who's helping aliens trying to being around human beings.  Alex and Braniaic are not on the same page but meets on the same ground later. James was cleared of all charges as Guardian, thanks to Lena, who got dirt from her mother on Bruno Mannheim.

Kara meets with her new protege, Nia Nal, who's like Kara when she began working at Cat Co. Nia opens up to Kara on what she wanted to cover fashion. But when she express her interest on it at the meeting, she loses it over someone else. Kara not only gives her a nice pep talk, but almost acted like Cat when she was telling Nia that times a wasting "tick tock."

But the episode ends where Kara saved the train in Kazakhstan, underneath where we see the other Kara look alike digging a tunnel. Who could this be? I wonder if that moment in the season finale split Kara's anger and happy personality.

"American Alien" was an amazing season opener episode. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Alex and Brainaic. It was just down right hilarious from telling her that the President of the United States will be coming in less a minute. It did give us a nice sister scene with Alex and Kara. I forget that too.
The cast puts on an astonishing performance. Nicole Maines really steals the episode and I hope to see her steal more because seeing her and Melissa is just amazing.  I can just feel that after watching this episode that this season will be really amazing.

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

You can catch Supergirl Sundays at 8/7c on The CW.

Changes A Coming: Supergirl "Battles Lose and Won" Season Finale

Image result for supergirl battles lost and won

Changes come but the the questions is will everyone be okay.

The season finale of Supergirl delivered a lot thrilling moments to twist and turns unlike before. As Supergirl and the team try to save everyone, the Earth's core fights off Reign. While Sam, who's in Juru, comes to terms with her mother, who tries to help her.

With Selena's plan failing, Coville, who's still alive, gets aboard J'onn's ship and gets the distress call out for Kara and the team to find. As they get there, they battle but when Kara is about to get her kill her but Sam, who comes back with powers, comes there in time and stabs Reign with her sword. But Kara fights back and pushes Reign into the core of the Earth, which gets Reign to use her heart vision to hit everyone, killing everyone expect for J'onn and Kara.

But Kara changes time and instead of Sam stabbing Reign, they hold her down and use the meteor to take Reign back to Juru. Sam fights Reign and defeats her.

As everyone comes back, changes are sure to be made as  Wynn gets word from Brainaic that he's going with Mon-El to the future, J'onn decides to hand over Director duties to Alex, as she wants to make some life changes too. James announces that he's Guardian. And Kara decides that she's staying in National City instead of Argo City with her mother.

But it didn't end just there as we see Lena talking about Phase II. After we see the events of Reign being transferred to Juru, we see in Russia that a Kara is walking to a army base with a blanket.

This was a fantastic season finale with some heartwarming moments and questions about next season. Who's that Kara in Russia? How will things be with Wynn and J'onn gone? Will Sam be part of the DEO helping Kara now ?

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

After talking to the suspect, J'onn comes to terms on two things: 1. to grant his father one last wish of passing his memories to J'onn and 2. decide to change the way the DEO uses weapons.

But there's another moment as Alex might be thinking of adoption too.

"Make It Reign"

As Selena and the other Krpytonians began their ritual along with Coville at the Fortress of Sanctuary to summon Reign back to Earth But with her body not in complete form, Selena determines that they require the blood of Pestilence and Purity.

After Sam not feeling well, she undergoes some testes at the DEO. Lena is determined that as Reign gets stronger, Sam gets weaker. Selena and the Kryptonians break into the DEO to get the Worldkillers' blood. Lara, Alura and Mon-El found a way to get back to National City, thanks to Wynn.

Selena completes the ritual and kills Coville. Alura reveals that there is a fountain that can strengthen Sam and weaken Reign, but she has to travel to Juru to find it. Reign begins traveling to the EArth's core with the sword of Juru and terraform Earth into a new Krypton, which sets off earthquakes.

Searching for Answers: Supergirl "Shelter from the Storm"/"The Fanatical"/"Dark Side of the Moon"

Image result for supergirl shelter from the storm

"Shelter from the Storm"

The hunt is on for Reign as she's trying to find Ruby.

Reign attacks Lena and James in search for Ruby, after Lena uses her man-made kryptonite on her, she runs away. After telling and showing Kara, it doesn't put them on good speaking terms until the it helped take down Reign.

Lena tells Kara and Alex where Ruby is staying: Lex's mansion that's been protected from the world. Alex heads over there and stays with Ruby, until Ruby makes a phone call to her mother which brings Reign over.

Just before Kara moves in, Mon-El and Brainaic comes back to help and finish the mission. Mon-El and Kara stops Reign with the help of Lena's kryptonite that Mon-El uses in the machine gun.

After the capture of Reign, Alex confronts Ruby that what she saw wasn't her mother, but tells her that she won't lie to her to protect her anymore. It looks like Kara forgives and thanks Lena for the help but even though it looked like things look well for them. That is until Kara meets with Lena on their way to see Ruby and Lena tells her that Supergirl crossed the line and can't trust her.

We are left with a cliffhanger of Tonya, a Conville follower, taken the Coville's journal.

This was another amazing episode. There were many moments from Lena and Supergirl back and forth on what's right and wrong to the moments of when J'onn ask for his father's help, most of his memory is almost not there anymore. Even coming up with Coco Coffee, which I'm up for.

Overall, I give this episode a8/10.

"The Fanatical"

As Kara talks to James about Lena's mistrust in Supergirl, Tonya brings them Coville's journal to give to Supergirl. But when Olivia comes in looking for Tonya, she plays James and kidnaps her. Guardian chases them and fights them til James gets shot blowing off his mask and the cops come, but escapes with Tonya.

Olivia demands James to release Tonya or they'll release video that he's Guardian. It brings a bit of fear and deja vu to James as he tells Lena about his first time getting handcuffed by the cops.

Kara and Mon-El investigate Coville's cult place and seeing remnants of a nuclear explosion. They look into Coville's journal and Kara realizes that the cult is trying to make a new Worldkiller using Harun-El ( a small black krytonite staute).

After coming to terms, Tonya gives herself up to the cult and brings Mon-El. Soon, Olivia starts the ritual to transform herself into a Worldkiller, Mon-El sends a signal to Supergirl to locate where they are at.

After a brief fight, Kara reasons with Olivia enough for her to give up the desire to be a Worldkiller. But when the statute couldn't come off her hand, Kara uses her leaser vision to take it off and ice breath to cool her hand.

Later on, Winn and Lena find more about the Harun-El, which can be used to help Sam, on a meteor. But when Reign's power over the kryptonite is overpowering, Kara and Mon-El deiced to take J'onn's spaceship and headed over there as fast as they can.

Also Alex tries to cheer up Ruby, who's still dealing about her mother. When nothing seems to work, both Alex and J'onn take Ruby and J'onn's father to an arcade place. After things not going so well, Ruby and J'onn's father bonded while playing Foosball.

I thought this episode was simply amazing. The one moment that really stood out was the Ruby and Alex but Ruby and J'onn's father too. It was just a beautiful performance and so well written.

Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

Image result for supergirl dark side of the moon

"Dark Side of the Moon"

As Kara and Mon-El reach the meteor, they discover there is a city on it. They get attacked by the caretaker droids but uses disguises to blend in while traveling through the city towards the rock.

Kara realizes that the meteor is a surviving part of Krypton (Argo City) and discovers that her mother is alive. Alura arranges for a meeting of their High Council to discuss the issues of the Harun-El, as it is sues to sustain the life and security of the city.

Kara manages and convinces the members to give her a small quantity of it to defeat Reign. But later, Selena, a member, is revealed to be the Dark Priestess.

Meanwhile, Alex is attacked while spending time with Ruby. She believes the suspect is the killer sheriff her and Kara helped capture ten years ago, but a second attempt is made on her life. J'onn sets a trap for the killer posing as Alex but he targets the real Alex before she captures him.

As Kara and Mon-El come back at L-Crop, Reign's immunity increases to Lena's Kryptonite and escapes the containment.

Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Supergirl on The CW.

Secrets Come Out: Supergirl "Of Two Minds"/"Trinity"

Image result for supergirl of two minds

"Of Two Minds"

After the end of the previous episode of seeing birds dying around the city, now it's an epidemic in National City as the people are infected. With everyone having a scratch on them, they try to figure out the source. But when that source they found turns up dead, it leads up to someone that is know as Pestilence.

Figuring out who, Pestilence is a doctor named Grace, Supergirl, Mon-El and Imra go after her, not only to try to take her down, but to get her DNA for treatment that's still needed as Wen and Alex are infected too.

The battle stops as Kara gets scratched, but also Imra gets Pestilence's DNA before Purity came and stopped the party to rescued her.

As Wen, Alex and Kara are all well, they try to track down Purity with her sonic sound and it leads to L-Crop. That's where Lena has been trying to find a cure to help Sam but just as Kara and the team get there, the World Killers unite and it looks like Lena has some explaining to do.

"Of Two Minds" was an amazing episode from the storyline of Sam and Lena to Sam facing Reign. ut I really enjoyed the face to face of different opinions of Kara and Imra, who are trying to figure out a way to stop these guys: either talk or to fight.

Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

Image result for supergirl trinity

"Trinity"

Holy Hell! Talk about a thrilling ending to say the least.

Lena talks to Kara, Mon-El, Alex and the rest about her helping Sam and why she did it. It builds a distrust to Kara that Lena. Learning that there's a way to be connected with Sam, both Kara, Alex and Lena were sent to Julu, a Kryptonian Valley, thanks to Brainaic.

There Sam and Julia try to find a way to remember who they are to fight against their counterparts. As Kara and the team found them, Sam fights Reign, switching back to her own body and gives the signal to where they are located. Brainaic brings back Alex, Lena and Kara and head there to fight, with Alex getting a kick-ass new suit and gun.

As they battled the World Killers, all seems to be going the Killers way til Kara and Alex get Julia to come back and fight against Reign and Purity. But Purity tries to kill Julia but still uses her powers to kill her and as they died their powers embodied Reign and she escapes.

It seems that Lena and Kara are in good speaking terms, while James tells Lena that he's Guardian and also looked into her office to find more Kryptonite. But that he lied to Supergirl about not finding anymore as he didn't eve look in the vault. Lena tells him that it was made not from Lex's keeping.

Meanwhile, Reign comes to terms that to get rid of Sam, she'll have to take out her daughter. As Sam is still trapped in Julu and in pain.

"Trinity" was a well written episode that had many moments from Lena and Kara to the World Killers fighting one another. Even the big moment of James opening up to Lena about his secret and his trust for her.

Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Supergirl on The CW.

Surrounded by Friends, and Family: Supergirl "For Good"

Image result for Supergirl "For Good"

While the search for the World Killers are underway, it seems that the attacks between Lena and Edge have gotten a bit deadly.

After learning about the World Killers in the previous episode, Kara has these strange nightmares about them. Learning that they might have come on Earth the same way as Reign. Winn and the team search for anything meteor showers in the last 30 years and anything bazzair incidents in the last couple of years. Later Winn shows four suspects that have been in deadly accidents that they came out alive and unhurt. Kara sees one of them and points out the one that she's seen in her nightmare.

Meanwhile, the tensions between Edge and Lena have just gotten serious after Edge's car was hijacked and had to jump out before it drove off the road and exploded. Edge blames it on Lena, while she has no clue what he's talking about. But Edge gets payback for poisoning her coffee.

After being saved by both Alex and Kara, Lena figures out who's been pulling this against Edge...her mother. She visits the warehouse where her mother is there waiting for her hoping that her clues would lead her, which it did. Her mother tells Lena that she plans to stop Edge and finish him after what he had done to her.

Lena tries to stop the attack before her mother could by confronting Edge about what's going on, who's the real person to blame and get a confusion from him about him poisoning her. But it's Edge, he wouldn't do it til it acutely happens with Luther drone attacking. Plus Lena's mother coming and bring out the warsuit.

Kara comes and battles with Lena's mother, but gets help with Mon-El and the two, along with the help of the drones, takes her down. Lena chases Edge but Jimmy comes in as Guardian and knocks Edge to the ground. Lena gets her recorder back that has Edge's confession on it and everything seems to be on a good note after that.

But during the episode, Alex helps Samantha with her problem of not remembering and losing time. With all the test that Alex has process for Sam, it turns out that nothing is wrong with her.

"For Good" was a good episode, had a good mystery story between Lena and Edge about who's attacking who. The Alex and Samantha storyline was really good. The performances was good from the cast and the writing as well. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

You can catch Supergirl Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.

Risky Girl's Trip: Supergirl "Fort Rozz"

Image result for supergirl fort rozz

Talk about a risky girls' trip that ended with a surprising sacrifice.

To get information about Reign, Supergirl has to meet with someone who happens to be in Fort Rozz, the prison ship that Supergirl and J'onn got rid of. But Kara couldn't go in by herself because where the boat is located, there is no sun. So that leads her to bring Saturn, Girl, Psi and Livewire along for the journey.

The trip at first was a bumpy one for all, but after Psi accidentally used her power on Saturn Girl, Kara puts the straps back on. But the Rozz was soon getting pulled into the star; Saturn tries to get a connection to the DEO, while Kara and Livewire look for Jindah Kol Rozz and get a couple of words from her til Reign is there and kills Rozz.

Soon, Livewire fights Reign and gives her a jolt of electricity, but when she is down and Reign is about to attack Kara, Leslie sacrifices and takes the shot from Reign. But Psi makes it there and gives Reign something to consider: fear. And that let her show her emotions and run away. But leaving Kara to attend with Leslie, who dies from the laser shot from Reign, Kara and Leslie have an unfortunate and emotional moment.

Meanwhile, with Alex still with a broken leg, she babysits Ruby for Samantha while she's on a business trip she never went. As they had some fun, Alex helped Ruby with a cyberbullying problem that had her confront the bully and made her almost crap her pants. But while she was assisting Ruby, Ruby was helping her deal with Maggie after texting her about her passport. But after a lovely time babysitting, she sees that Samantha isn't herself as Sam tells her that she doesn't remember going on the business trip.

"Fort Rozz" was a good and sad episode, as, yes, Livewire died. Livewire was one of my favorite villains in the Supergirl series. I didn't think this would be her endgame, but maybe she will come back (with fingers crossed because the Superhero series seems to have that soap opera coming back to life). Samantha's true self emerges in Reign when Psi gives her a mindset of fear of losing Ruby.

Rozz tells Kara that there are more World Killers like Reign living on Earth, and at the end of the episode, we see one of them as she survives a car accident when the car smashes her between another vehicle—a true sign of things to come and building very well.

I enjoyed this episode a lot. The writing was well done and given a sad twist with Livewire. The performance from Benoist, Morgan, Amy Jackson, and Grobgias was excellent, and Jesse Rath and Jeremy Jordan stole some scenes with their way of handling hilarious things. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10

You can catch Supergirl on Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.

Wake Up!! Supergirl "Legion of Superheroes" Mid-season Premiere

Image result for supergirl legion of superheroes tv show

After the fall finale ending, Reign makes her way in the city delivering justice with no mercy, can Kara wake up before things get out of hand?

We jump two days after the events of the fall finale to find Kara in a coma and yet in a subconscious dream of where she feels comfortable: her loft. She soon gets a visitor, Brainiac 5 to help guide Kara out of her dream, but when it turns out that she can't get out, she must find a way out.

Meanwhile, Reign makes her way in National City in a big way, calling everyone that she's only here to bring justice and show no mercy to those that do crime. With Mon El and his Legion team can't help, Alex and J'onn do what they have to do to stop her, even it is using a secret kryptonite weapon.

After failing, Mon-El and team step up and battle with Reign in the oldest fashion battle: playing with Bon Jovi in the background. As the battle presses on, Kara notice Brainaic 5 talking battle tactics while still in her dream and after he tells her what's going on, she finds the way out of accepting that Kara is loved over Supergirl and wakes up.

Soon, Kara comes in and battles with Reign again, but quickly stabs Reign in the neck with the kryptonite weapon and runs off. Reign then is healed at her own fortress, until she learns that she has a team and one person that could also help Conville.

Kara comes with peace with Mon-El and thanks them for their help. Her and Alex talk about their thoughts on the events that just happened.

"Legion of Superheroes" was a good episode that had balance of humor and intense drama at times. Brainaic 5 brings in the comedic side to the story and I very much enjoyed watching him working along Kara of the others. J'onn's scene with Lena was another classic moment as he had to fill in for Kara while in a coma. As much as he hates it, we love it. The story was very good at times as it showed out hero trying to get out of her subconscious mind. All she needed was to realized that she's loved over Supergirl. The performance from the cast was amazing, mostly Jesse Rath as Brainaic 5 that really stole the episode.

Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

You can catch Supergirl Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.

Kara may have gotten her butt handed to her by Regn during the fall finale of Supergirl, but a new development in 2018 could turn that around in a good way.

TVLine had learned exclusively that Krys Marshall (This Is Us) will recure in the second half of the CW drama's third season. Marshall will be playing Julia Freeman, a 20-something musician  living near National City who holds clues to Reign's true identity.

It's not clear on how Julia will play into the fight against Reign, but when the former executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TVLive that "Supergirl is about to face her greatest nemesis in the three years that we've been doing the show... so it's going to take all the allies that she can muster to take Reign down."

Along appearing on This Is Us, Marshall has had small screen credit that includes roles in One Day at a Time and How I Met Your Mother.

The Devil is Coming: Supergirl Regin" Fall Finale

Image result for supergirl reign season 3

I know, Alex, that thing scares the hell out of me, too.

The first episode that I've been building up for, and by all means, this was an excellent one.

After the previous episode's events (two weeks ago), Kara is still dealing with Mon-El and his wife. Samantha is falling behind on her duties at work and with her daughter, and joining Kara's Christmas party with family and friends seems to calm her down.

As the Christmas party was underway, Kara and J'onn got a call of a message at an area site that had a statement that she knows as a Krypton language. Later, they see more and more of these along with people, one example being a street gang getting killed and even trying to attack Edge.

Kara gets help from Thomas Coville about the messages left there, and he tells her that the world killer is coming and will reign upon them. After seeing the signs from Reign, Kara makes her character, and soon, the call is answered.

Kara and Reign meet for the first time, and after a couple of chats, the two battle it out. From the air to the cargo ship, they fight to the streets, where it becomes a public viewing. Reign gives Kara a run for her money as she gets knocked out pretty well, with blood coming from her head, which surprises her. Kara comes back swinging and gives more, but Reigns comes back with more and takes Kara up to the roof of the building. Kara, defenseless, tells Reign that she's not afraid of her, and soon, Reign gives Kara one final punch and lets her fall to the ground, where she is lifeless.

Alex rushes and gets her back to the DEO in the emergency room, where they had to tube her to help her breathe. There, everyone from Winn, J'onn, Mon-E,l, and all watch as they see the Girl of Steel in serious condition.

Meanwhile, on Christmas Day, Sam's daughter comes down the stairs to see her mom, but her mother is gone and leaves with a frightening ending.

"Reign" was the darkest, most intense episode of the season, let alone the series so far. After this season of the character Reigns, the episode builds up more and more even as Kara learns and finally meets with Reign. Reign is probably one of the darkest villain characters in the series. The performance from Odette Annable was terrific, and her scenes with Melissa Benoist were such a thrill of intensity. The writing of this episode was so good. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Supergirl returns with a new episode on January 15th at 8/7c on The CW.

"Best Wedding Ever!" Supergirl "Crisis on Earth-X part 1"

Related image

I agree with Heat Wave: "Best Wedding Ever."

Part one of the four-part epic crossover event, kicking off last night with Supergirl, delivered such an entertaining episode and set a great tone for the next episode.

In the parallel world, Earth-X, where the Nazi regime has ruled the planet, a dark hooded archer called Dark Arrow kills the American loyalists and others that are part of the resistance. Dark Arrow takes on The Guardian and, after a couple of seconds of battling, kills him. He joins his team as they are about to take a machine that will make sure they spread their hatred. Dark Arrow orders his team but changes when his partner Overgirl gives her orders.

Meanwhile, there's a wedding coming with Iris and Barry. They wonder if the others (Supergirl, Arrow, and the Legends) have RSVP their invitations, for which we get to see some kick-ass fighting scenes with our favorite DC TV heroes, but Kara and Alex get a moment during their bond time and decide to go.

With the girls having their time, Barry and Oliver have their Groom/Best Man talk about settling down, which is excellent and funny, with Barry making a joke that Oliver doesn't laugh at all. During the dinner, with everyone there, Iris' father gives a heartfelt speech about how they helped him find his way back to love again. The dinner had other great moments, one being Alex and Sara drinking up and having a one-night stand. The other Oliver is talking to Felicity about settling down, but she doesn't want to and walks away.

As the wedding begins, Kara sings, and just as the wedding starts, the minister is killed by Overgirl. After a fascinating and entertaining fight scene, Kara injures Overgirl during the fight, and the Nazis retreat, but our heroes capture Dark Arrow's partner Prometheus.

Dark Arrow and Overgirl discuss the plan and meet with the yellow speedster, who discuss their next step. Dark Arrow and Overgirl unmasked themselves and are revealed to be the parallel universe doppelgangers of Oliver Queen and Kara. The yellow speedster is Barry's presumed deceased nemesis, Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash.

"Crisis on Earth-X Part 1" was nothing but stunning. The first part of the crossover event delivered such a kick-ass start with such thrilling to humoring moments, mostly coming from Heat Wave and even the moments with Sara and Alex, for which I'm down with that relationship if anyone has any objections. The drama between Oliver and Felicity was excellent, and I assume it'll carry good for the next episode. I think this might be one of the best crossover events than the one last season. The writing was excellent, and the performances go to an equal amount of everyone's effort. Overall, I give this episode 9/10.

You can catch the epic crossover event with Arrow last night and tonight's episode of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow beginning at 8/7c on The CW. You can see the fall finale of Supergirl following Monday at 8/7c on The CW.

The Moment: Supergirl "Wake Up"

It's the moment that we've all been waiting for until a twist will shatter those hopes.

When Kara, J'onn and Wynn investigate an unknown ship that's under National City. What they find was truly a shocking moment for Kara as they found Mon-El. As they take him back to the DEO and run some test, questions begin to wonder how he has been in that ship that apparently has been under the city for years.

With Kara, being the only person to believes Mon-El is fine, she finds him trying to escape and then locks him up in the cell. Mon-El convinced Wynn to help him back to the ship, where there's a life support system that's going unstable. Kara follows them and learns the truth from Mon-El that after leaving earth in the pod, he was picked up in a wormhole taking him to the 31st Century, where L Crop developed cure for the Daxamites. But what has been only seven months for Kara is really seven years for Mon-El .

And if that wasn't shocking enough, when the life support system was going critical, Mon-El was trying to save one pod by opening it but Kara opens it and finds another person in there. That person happens to be Imra Ardeed, Mon-El's wife.

If that wasn't shocking enough, Samantha visits her foster mother and learns about her Kryptonian origins and soon finds the Fortress of Sanctuary. There a hologram of a female A.I. tells Sam that even though the changes she's experiencing were suppose to happen earlier, but her having unplanned child delayed it, that she is destined to become Reign the Worldkiller. And soon experiences painful changes and losing  her humanity.

"Wake Up" was an episode that had both heartwarming to heartbreaking moments, mostly coming into with Kara and Mon-El. When seeing them together for the first time you feel so relieved with joy and all but later you get the feel that something doesn't seem to be right.  There was some good humor, mostly the scene where Kara, J'onn and Wynn looking for the spot where the ship was located. Also not to mention pretty thrilling when it comes to when Sam is learning about who is really is. Even though the Kara-Mon-El story was focused more for us to disgust, it was Sam's story that really was equal or better than the other. The writing was solid and the performances from Annable as Sam along with Wood and Benoist. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Supergirl in the two night crossover event of the fall Crisis on Earth-X beginning Monday at 8/7c on The CW.

Escape: Supergirl "Midvale"

Ever wondered how Alex and Kara been so close to one another? Well, this episode really gives us the origins of how they became the best sibling relationship.

After a heartbreaking breakup with Maggie and a rough couple of weeks, Kara takes Alex to a trip back home to get away from it all and recharge their batteries. Kara tries to get Alex to open up about her feelings but she attacks her with how she handed losing Mon-El and the two go to bed.

We jump ten years back to when Kara and Alex were in high school and the two seemed to be not on good terms at all. Alex didn't like Kara for all the big sister reasons that you would think.

The episode depicts on the origins of how Alex and Kara became the sisters that we have seen them for the past two and a quarter seasons.  Kara's good friend, Kenny, gets killed and the two put their heads together to solve the case. Kara finds her friend's laptop and tries to decrepit the computer with Alex's skills but when they couldn't they see that Kenny gets an email from a teacher that knows that Kenny knows about him and Alex's friend are in an illegal relationship.

You would think that it would just be that til later when Kara and Alex are walking home they almost get hit by a car. Soon Alex's friend comes by and tells her that the teacher had been arrested and she was with him at the time. That gives Alex the idea that the teacher wasn't the suspect at all and goes to the local sheriff to inform him.

Kara gets word from her friend, who decrepit the rest of Kenny's laptop, that there were photos and one of them being the local sheriff dealing with drugs. Kara quickly calls Alex to inform her and quickly hears her saying she with him at the game and flies there to save her.

After the arrested of the local sheriff, Alex and Kara get a special gift from Kenny's parents ('m going to say mostly his mother) of Kenny's telescope. That apparent telescope was a symbol or a key to the beginning of their wonderful sisterhood.

As they young Kara and Alex go to bed, we come back to the present to see Alex waking up and walking towards Kara, who was looking through the telescope. Soon they open up and quickly come to realize that everything is going to be find. They leave but in the style of listening to Gwen Stefani's "Escape."

"Midvale" was a really good standalone origin episode of depicting how Kara and Alex became such great sisters. It was overly dramatic at all. It really had a good balance of humor, drama and a simpe case of the week. Izabela Vidovic and Olivia Nikkanen were amazing and played the young Kara and Alex. With everything this episode had show, the one moment that really stuck in my mind was when Kara was visited by an agent from the FBI that looked like her mother. But when she leaves after telling Kara not to use her powers, she walks to her car and changed form into Hank as it was J'onn J'onzz. That moment was so touching as how important he is to Kara and Alex. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Supergirl Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.

A Bond and Separate: Supergirl "Damage"

Related image

This episode was all about damage control, both professionally and privately.

Let's get to the pulling off the band-aid part of the episode as Alex and Maggie finally talk it out again about whether they are done because Alex wants kids and Maggie doesn't. When they finally talk it out, it turns out that they have to break up.

But there's some bright side to breaking up, mainly between Alex and Maggie. As Alex was packing things up and listening to a depressing song, Maggie changed the music to a friendly and upbeat one. The two kiss and move to the bed, where they spend one more time together. Maggie packs and leaves, but not with a long, emotional goodbye kiss.

Meanwhile, Lena deals with her crisis when Edge blames her for the lead poisoning of the kids from the lead bomb in the season 2 finale. With the whole city hating Lena, she tries to calm the storm, but one of the parents tries to assist her but fails. Samantha takes Lean in until they figure out the whole problem. Kara and Samantha investigate and figure out (mostly Samantha) that all the kids who became sick were at a local pool.

The two break in (thanks to Kara) and look around with a sample of the pool water that turned out to have lead. Samantha and Kara quickly found the chlorine from a company that had information in it. Kara informed Lena about it and asked the company if she ever heard of it. She tells her no, but she knows it's Edge's company.

Lena confronts Edge and threatens him with a gun, but he gets the last laugh as one of his guys knocks her out and leaves her in an airplane carrying the same chlorine. Edge controls the plane, but with Lena's quick SOS SOS call, Kara gets there just in time and saves both Lena and the chlorine barrels.

Kara confronts Edge about attacking Lena, and the two butted heads until Kara steps away.

Lena and James' relationship seems to be going better than it had been since Lena bought CatCo. Kara, Lena, and Samantha have a lovely sisterly evening to celebrate. Kara later confronts Alex about her break up with Maggie, and at the end of the episode, Samantha finds out that she was shot but didn't get injured.

"Damage" was an episode in which I endured intense emotions and excitement. The Alex and Maggie scenes were so good and, at times, faced with real raw emotions. With that, the Lena, Samantha, and Kara storyline was even out with thrilling and fun at times, mostly watching Samantha and Kara scenes. Katie McGarth, Oddette Annable, and Melissa Benoist show naturally good chemistry. Chyler Leigh and Floriana Lima gave an excellent performance. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Supergirl on Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.
