Chicago PD "Promise"/"Snitch"

"Promise:

With Jon Seda back on PD this season, this is one of his best performed and well written story so far.

"Promise" was a well written character development for Antonio Dawson, as he takes a case that involves a brutal murder of a young Latina woman, who might be suspected as a drug mule. When Dawson's daughter sees the body, she asked him if he was going to help her and his response was indeed he will.

Now with a case like this, you would think that Intelligence would want to take it but as they investigate the case it just leads to roadblock after roadblock that even had Voight telling Dawson that enough is enough.

But when they get a suspect, they couldn't get one witness to speak out, and the case was dropped. But this is Chicago PD and you know if there was a strong lead that this suspect was the guy, you know he would be taken down some way, some how. And that happened with Voight confronting a gang, who happened to lose someone from the suspect and gave the address of the suspect's house. Dawson soon catches up and goes to the suspect's house to find him dead on his table with his stomach sliced.

This episode was one of Seda's best performed episodes. The writing was so good and the character development was good as well. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

"Snitch"

From a series of murders to even a suspect of a snitch on the team, this episode was one hour of can't miss drama.

"Snitch" was a well written, intense episode that really open a can of worms for what might be a long story arc of good television.  The case of the week as the Intelligence unit investigates a series of murders that has a personal connection to Atwater that points to his younger brother involvement. It was a good story that really had some emotions.

Meanwhile, Voight suspects that Dawson might be going behind his back once again. But I really don't suspect that Dawson is redoing what he did last time when he got Voight arrested.

The episode was really good with really good performances from the cast. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Chicago PD Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.

Fresh Off The Boat "Do You Hear What I Hear?"

Image result for fresh off the boat do you hear what i hear?

The one person that could ruin Christmas, happens to show the Christmas spirit.

Tis the season and Jessica gets ready for this season's HOA Carol singers. But when Holly comes and teaches the group on performing. Soon she sees the audition process and picks the ones that she thought were good, with Jessica being the ones not to make it. Jessica gets upset and fires Holly and jumps with the group until the group leaves her by herself singing alone.

But after stopping at Honey's house and learning of Honey's pregnancy, she apologizes to Holly about how she handled things and all seems to be forgiven.

Meanwhile, Louis and Honey go see Titanic, with Honey not telling Marvin about it. But Marvin suspects something is going on with Honey and soon spots both Louis and Honey at the movies seeing Titanic for the second time. After confessing, they all saw it with only Louis and Honey loving it and Marvin picking how wrong the ship broke.

Nicole falls in love with a girl at a coffee shop and gets Emery, Eddie and Alison's help on how to ask her out. After drinking a ton of coffee, Nicole finally asked the girl and gets her number.

"Do You Hear What I Hear?" was a good, fun and enjoyable holiday episode. Love the Titanic references and makes me want to watch the movie again. I feel with Louis when I was hoping the ship doesn't hit the iceberg. The coffee shop story was good and also Jessica and Holly as well. Really good writing and performances. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10..

You can catch Fresh Off The Boar Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.

Fresh Off The Boat "The Vouch"/"Slide Effect"

"The Vouch"

As Jessica finished her novel, she asks Louis to read it. But turns out that he does't like it and tells her how great it is. Later on Louis hears that Kenny Rodgers will pay a visit to Cattleman. When Jessica hear about it, she asked Louis to share her book with him to see if she like it and get it published.

Being afraid to do it, Louis gives her book to the neighborhood book club women and come with the same response as Louis. Still with the not approved by the book club, Jessica still wants Louis to share the book to Rodgers. But when Rodgers comes, apparently he gave him the wrong one and Jessica finds out that Louis was lying to her.

Louis comes clean about it and writes a letter to Rodgers about the book and how much she put into writing it. Later, she gets a letter back saying that Rodgers loved it and wants to get it published.

Meanwhile, Eddie, his brothers and friends learn democracy when they chip in to purchase a 300 CD carousel. When it finally gets here, the music that everyone puts in Eddie doesn't like. After a walkout, Eddie apologizes and plays their music as well.

"The Vouch" delivers with all cylinders with witty comedy and good character growth with Jessica, Louis and Eddie. I was mainly impress with Wu's performance in this episode as it might have been one of her best so far this season. The writing was very good. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

"Slide Effect"

"Slide Effects" is a good episode. The story with Eddie and his friends were good and funny at times. I did find it hilarious, matching to the previous episode. Jessics'a story was good as well. Performance from the cast was good and the writing of the episode was average. Overall, I give this episode a 7/10.

You can catch Fresh Off the Boat Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.

Fresh Off the Boat "A League of Her Own"/"The Day After Thanksgiving"

"A League of Her Own"

When Nicole walks into a lesbian bar, she spots Honey and Jessica there talking and drinking. She comes out to Honey and tells her that she's playing for the bar's softball team. With Honey accepting Nicole, they figure out a way to tell Marvin. After failing to tell Marvin during movie night watching "A League of Their Own," Marvin learned it in a different way, from Jessica during the softball game.

With mixed feelings about it, Marvin accepts Nicole in coming out, even if he did play it against her as getting her out.

Meanwhile, when Louis tries to rags up his team for the Cattleman's softball team, he's taken the challenge from management that if they win one game, the team will stay but lose then it's gone for good. With that going, Jessica convinces the bar owner to let her manage the softball team that happens to be playing Louis' team. As the two square it off, it's not very promising at first for Louis.

"A League of Her Own" was a very good episode. It was a good half hour of comedy that had some memorable moments. The writing was good and the performances from the cast as well. Overall, I give this episode a 7/10.

"The Day After Thanksgiving"

Probably one of my favorite episodes of the fourth season. "The Day After Thanksgiving" was good from the beginning to the end with witty humor to good character development coming from Jessica and Louis' mother. The writing of the episode was so good. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Fresh Off the Boat Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.

Fresh Off The Boat "Four Funerals and a Wedding"

Image result for fresh off the boat four funerals and a wedding

Think that you couldn't be surprised at a funeral, think again.

When one of Jessica's aunts has passed away, her and the Huang family travel to Houston for the funeral. While there the boys meet for the first time Jessica's father. Soon, Louis decides to make it his mission to get Jessica and her father closer. When another aunt passed, Louis tries to get Jessica to sit with her father but failed. But when the next aunt, who had to wait til the others were dead, gets married that's when Louis tries to get them closer, but that failed and he comes clean and was misunderstood about what Jessica meant when she was on the phone.

Meanwhile, Evan has made a decision on who will be the executor of his will. When he decides it'll be Eddie, it turns into who really deserves to be Evan's executor between Eddie and Emery. As much as this story in the episode was funny at times, it really didn't get me laughing a lot like Jessica, Louis and Jessica's father story.

"Four Funerals and a Wedding" was a good episode, most of it coming from Jessica and Louis part of the episode. It was funny and memorable with how much Louis tries to get Jessica and her father close. And learning that he didn't quite has the father that she had growing up. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Fresh Off the Boat Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.

Pool Party with Buddies: Great News "Pool Show"

Image result for great news pool show

When Chuck befriends with Portia's fiance, he tries to help her with their relationship, while Katie and Jeremy go undercover for a story and getting Carol to think of something different. Here's a recap of Great News.

When Katie gets another puff piece story, she talks to Jeremy about it and joins him on an undercover story. But when she cancels plains with Carol, it makes Carol worried. Carol gets Greg and spy on Katie and Jeremy, thinking that they were going to take their relationship to the next level and tells Greg that Katie has feeling for him.

After what they thought Katie and Jeremy were endanger, they left after a Greg tries to be a hero but fails. Katie returns to work apologizing to Carol about missing their show the other night and also asked Greg to stop the puff Hero piece. But Carol knows a hero and she was standing by him after she walked out of Greg's office.

Meanwhile, when Portia's fiance was in the office, Chuck enjoys hanging out with him. Soon, they become befriends and hangout at the pool. Portia doesn't like it and Chuck sees that both Portia and her Fiance are having relationship troubles. So he tries to help them with their performances and shows an exercise video that he made years ago. The video did help but not in the way you would think and gets Portia and her fiance fixing their relationship.

"Pool Show" was at times hilarious and some with memorable moments. I couldn't get enough of Carol and Greg scenes in this episode as they spy on Katie and Jeremy. And just watching John Michael Higgins in this episode is just hilarious. Anything he does is comedy magic. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Great News Thursdays at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.
