Rewards Are Paidless: Life in Pieces "Portrait Plagiarism Renter Scam"

Image result for Life in Pieces "Portrait Plagiarism Renter Scam"

From getting paid by painting to thinking of an original story even though it's not, here's a recap of this week's episode of Life In Pieces.

"Renter Portrait Plagiarism Scam" was another episode full of laughs, life lessons, and how to check up on what you would assume is someone's work. Tyler and Clementine hosting an Airbnb in their tiny home leads to Tim and Heather dealing with their renter issues. Let alone when Jen helps her client, who's a painter, get paid with his art piece, a family portrait. The finishing product doesn't win Jen over, but Greg, Matt, and others with its unique style.

It doesn't stop there when Sophia listens to her classmate's story about where missing socks go when they can't be found and uses it to help Matt and Colleen with their second book idea. But when Sophia tells her classmate that she thinks she stole from him, she realizes that the concept is already a book, leaving both Matt and Colleen in an awkward situation with a publisher.

But the last story leaves us with a life lesson about IRS scams, as it's been used in the other stories in this episode. But it comes to John and Joan, who think that after firing their accountant, John forgot something and tries to fix it until Heather comes over and explains that it's a scam. But do you think it ends there? No, as they get an email from Joan's nephew about how he needs money incorrectly using English.

It's another funny and well-written episode that proves that this show deserves another season on CBS. This show is one of my favorite family sitcoms and comedies from the Eye Network, along with Kevin Can Wait. Yeah, it's so different that you don't see, but also, the cast is fantastic, and the writing has been so good. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Life In Pieces on Thursdays at 9:30/8:30 on CBS.

Family Disappointment: Champions "Grandma Dearest"

Image result for Champions Grandma dearest

When Michael ask Vince about his grandmother for school, but what Michael doesn't know is that Vince's mother hasn't have a clue that he exist yet.

As Michael tries to get Vince to introduce him to his grandmother. But in exchange to see Vince's mother, Michael helps Vince with his gym's website.

It takes the whole episode to understand that Vince and Matthew's mother isn't the right person to have a relationship. When they get ready for her visit, she shows up a no show but her husband comes and tells them her excuse. When Michael sees that he understands and decides that it's up to her to see him instead of him.

Meanwhile, when updating the Champions website, Michael recruits one of the gym members to be part of a website video of her journey. But when they get things ready, their recruit becomes a no show thanks to Ruby going on a date with her and abandoning her. It all became good thanks to the rest of the gm crew getting their recruit back and filming the video but also added to it with her asking Ruby for her hand in marriage.

"Grandma Dearest" was another hilarious and strong written episode I've enjoyed this episode a lot. The cast was amazing once again. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Champions Thursdays at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.

Chop Chop Glory: A.P. Bio "Eight Pigs and a Rat"

Image result for AP Bio Eight Pigs and a Rat

From Principal Durban trying to show how innervating the school can be to figuring out who squealed about Jack's plan for biology class. It all relays on one student to get through this nightmare.

When Principal Durban is a finalist for the innervating principal of the year award for his school, he gets his teachers to find something innervating so they can do with students and show the superintendent as well. But it turns out that all the teachers were doing the same thing in different subjects all with a volcano.

With everything not going the way he wanted it, it all relays on Jack and his class. But for Jack, he's dealing with a snitch who told about what he did with the baby pigs for their class experiment. As Jack torched the class to his ability, he finally got the answer from Heather, but when he called his buddy, who had them and was about to shoot them at Devin's place: turns out they exploded in the canon.

But when Heather learns about the baby pigs are gone, she throws a fit and tries to trash his car. She explains that she was looking forward to the experiment and working with Dan, who she has a crush on. The next day, just as Jack brings a dead squirrel, apparently Heather brings a full grown dead pig to class for the experiment.

When Durban and the rest come to watch, Heather takes over with some amazing set of skills, as she works at her dad's butcher's shop. But Sarika calls upon Jack to talk about one of the pigs organs, for which he calls her bluff and teaches as he really knew biology.

With the superintendent happy, Durban happy with some pork loins, Jack thrilled too but rewards Heather for what she pulled off by cleaning up the room with Dan.

"Eight Pigs and a Rat" was a hilarious episode from start to finish. The cast puts a good performance with character development. From Howerton, Brielle, Oswalt, but mainly Arm puts on her funniest performance of the season so far. Whether it's the teachers pulling the same teaching, volcanoes to Jack torching his students on who sent a message to Durban about given away the pigs away. Probably one of my favorite episodes so far. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch A.P. Bio Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.

Powerless: Chicago PD "Saved"

Image result for Chicago PD Saved

If you think that someone was going to be saved in this episode in this episode, think again as it holds another meaning and one hell of an hour for one member of the Intelligence Unit.

The episode starts off with Voight getting a call from a girl named Hannah that he remembers from the past, she asked about getting help but wouldn't tell him what it was about. When she leaves for the restroom, she actually leaves and Voight sees her get abducted by someone and drove off. Voight and Ruzek chase until they hear gun shots at a local bank where a couple of robbers where there stealing and shooting.

After the crew were gone, they see that it was the same vehicle that took Hannah. The Intelligence Unit work to find the car and find whoever knew Hannah. You can see throughout the episode that Voight was eager to find this girl and help her, even if she was later caught on camera holding a gun during an arm robbery.

But the truth comes out as Voight tells everyone that Hannah got his card from his wife, who was her school teacher at the time. Explains more that his wife thought could help her who wasn't going on a good path (the same thing what he did with Erin but making visits). But after Justin's death, he didn't hold up on his promise of visiting her and finds that being with this boyfriend of hers is the one leading her to the wrong path.

After finding the members from the shooting, they search and find where Hannah and her boyfriend where located at a car dealership. There it become a stand still and Voight decides to go in and try to talk them down, but it didn't turn out the way he wanted it as the boyfriend walks with Hannah outside and the cops shoot them both dead.

If that wasn't enough for Voight to handle, things aren't looking good for Al when it comes to getting the investigation off of his back. Voight is certain that he can get this fix and tries to get one of the Assistant  State's Attorney to help but really, Woods was just a step further to him and wants him to confess to his doings. Voight realizes that things are coming down pretty bad and even powerless to say the less. As he comes home, he views several of his family photos and picks up one with him, Al and Erin and just breaks it along with the rest of the photos.

"Saved" goes from the causal start for any Chicago PD episode to fast character driven and well developed episode that brings the emotions from the screen to my heart and mind. Whether it's Voight searching for Hannah to save or trying to help Al with the investigation, you would think that with Voight being Voight he would get the job done and celebrate with a glass of whiskey, but in this case you seem him become powerless to do anything. The performance from Jason Beghe's performance was amazing, probably one of the best episodes in a while to watch.

After this episode I don't know what comes next, will Voight come clean and help Al out of this serious investigation? I really don't think that Voight will take things to another level and take out Woods.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Chicago PD Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.

Broken Hearts: Chicago Med "An Inconvenient Truth"

Image result for chicago med an inconvenient truth

A simple surgical procedure goes wrong; a mother goes against the doctor's advice on her child, while one doctor deals with her father's illness, while another learns the meaning of "a break."

The Rhodes-Bekker relationship might not be quite as popular with the viewers, but it's been one hell of a story arc with balancing their feelings with one another with their work. When Bekker and Rhodes performed a surgical procedure that should be so common, it turns out that someone left an instrument in the patient's heart. When learning that it was Bekker, the one that left it in there, as soon as it was almost over, she let Rhodes finish it. It leads the two into another heated conversation, but he confronts Latham. Rhodes takes the blame for it, but in this case, he'll keep an eye on both of them for the upcoming surgical separation of the twins.

Goodwin deals with a challenging situation when her godson comes in with severe burns along with his friend. Thinking that his friend had a troubled past, her godson started it and tested positive for drugs. It led Goodwin to confront him to tell the truth, which led to his mother upset and maybe pulling their funding from the hospital.

Natalie and Charles deal with a child who looks like a girl on the outside but a boy on the inside. When the mother learns of her daughter's condition, she wants them to take her testicles out because she wants her little girl to be a girl. It puts Charles and Natalie in a challenging situation, which leads them to the hospital committee to make the decision, which goes to the mother. But when the child was suffering severe pain and had to go to the OR, her mother changed her mind and did not take all of the testicles out.

Reese deals with her father as he comes in with heart failure. Rhodes and everyone try to comfort her father, which she doesn't want anyone to do. She goes by her work but also watches a patient, who's on his deathbed, to have his son come, but instead, he doesn't when he says he did. April and Noah comfort him in his last minutes, even though the patient thought that Noah was his son, which was one of the heartwarming moments of the episode. In the end, Reese goes up to see her father but only to see and walk by his room without going in.

After taking care of Goodwin's godchild, Halstead tries to be there for Natalie when she's dealing with her patient. As he lends his ear to her, she asks him out for dinner, but after saying yes, Will decides if he should tell her about his one night with another woman. When he meets Natalie, he tells her about that night with another doctor and that he doesn't understand what "a break" is. She's shocked and tells him that "a break" doesn't mean being with other people, and quickly she leaves.

"An Inconvenient Truth" was another intense episode dealing with some strong storylines from Rhodes and Bekker to even Natalie and Dr. Charles and Reese, who's trying to figure out if she should see her dad or not. I think that in the next episode, she will see her father. I could understand why she didn't want to see him after what he had done to her. I wonder if losing a donor for the hospital will cost  Goodwin her job. I don't think it will. When all seems to go well for #Manstead, it turns terrible once again, but hey, at least Will told Natalie the truth about it. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Chicago Med Tuesdays at 10/9c on NBC.

Family Bond: Supergirl "Schott Through the Heart"

Image result for Supergirl "Schott Through the Heart"

When a death in Winn's family brings him and his mother closer, revelations are revealed for another family, even the secret that Mon-El tells Kara.

The gang is back, and what better way to be back than to do a Karaoke Night!!! With the night of fun, things are halted when Winn learns that his father, the Toyman, has died. While at the funeral, Winn's mother shows up hoping to talk and connect with him, but he isn't for it. But when the body of the Toyman was being lowered, it exploded.

Winn's mother tries to bond with Winn even at the usual time, even when Flying Toy Monkeys invade the city and attack the DEO. At a certain point, we learn about Winn's mother and why she hasn't been a part of his life for the last 20 years due to his father threatening to kill him. She also holds some skills, taking the Toy Monkey apart, thinking that maybe she's part of it, but when Winn's mother finds a card in the monkey and takes it, she finds the person who's been doing this, the Toymaker's former employee.

Winn, Kara, Jimmy, and Mon-El come to some obstacles with dangerous toys, from a giant T-Rexand flaming-throwing fire truck to even making Kara into a collector's toy in a special plastic. But Winn saves his mother but goes to his father's former employee and uses what he learned from his father against her, mainly the razor yo-yo to the leg as she was strangely him.

Meanwhile, after hearing that J'onn and his father are moving to a new apartment, Alex gets jealous for not being invited and invites her to dinner. But something is wrong with J'onn's father, as his memory seems problematic. Alex addresses J'onn's father. It tells him that he needs to tell J'onn about it, but instead, hees her out. Alex tells J'onn but only asks his father about it, and as soon as he does, J'onn and Alex share a friendly, fatherly daughter. There have been so many surprising moments in this episode, one being J'onn's father. Still, Mon-El tells Kara about the secret that Imra told him. That the real reason they are here in the 21st Century was to find the Third World Killer and that in the future, he would turn into Blight. And that's not all. Jimmy has been calling Lena for the last couple of days, but when she calls back, she tells him she's been working hard the last few days. But she's been working to help with Samantha's condition at Lexcrop warehouse.

"Schott Through the Heart" was a fantastic episode and one hell of a way to welcome back the show from its two-month hiatus. The Winn and his mother's storyline was brilliant, and Laurie Metcalf was also brilliant as always as Winn's mother. The episode had such a strong character development, and I think it sets the tone for the rest of the season. Do you believe that Lena figures out what's wrong with Samantha?  I don't know about you, but I got chills when hearing the name Blight (for those familiar with Batman Beyond). I can't wait to see where this will be going.  Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Supergirl on Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.

What's your Breaking Point? Chicago PD "Breaking Point"

Image result for Chicago PD Breaking Point

What is your breaking point? That's the one question that's asked in this episode not just to capture a suspect but also during an investigation for a member of the Intelligence Unit.

When an Alderman is found murdered, Voight and the team try to investigate but gets pressure from the victim's family, due to their political status in the neighborhood. But as their investigation leads to the victim's son's doing, he gets shot in the process and gets Voight to realize that what they have is a drug business problem with local gangs.

The team gets a tip about a shooter and takes a suspect in, but instead of talking he doesn't give a whole lot. Voight and Al think that the suspect is covering for someone, which Voight gives the guy the boot but followed and placed a microphone in his coat and when he calls someone talking about how they are close and informs his cousin Lamar about it.

The both capture both Lamar and his cousin and try to get them to spell. None of them do, Lamar doesn't take the blame and his cousin does but Al and Voight pulls off the question" what's his breaking point?" Which happens to be that the cousin has sickle cell anemia and needs special pain relief but holds it to him to talk or he won't get it, so he talked blamed it on his cousin Lamar.

Meanwhile, Al is being questioned and investigated about how a witness seen him and another woman, Erin, dumping a body at a construction site. Al asked Voight for help with money but he wouldn't help due to the money being a trust fund for his grandson. But Voight gives his word to help him out no matter what, but when it comes down to the end of the day the question that hangs to Al is what's his breaking point? That kid they got to talking was his sickle cell, for Voight it's Erin, but what's Al's?

"Breaking Point" was a very good episode with exciting drama, mainly between Al and Voight as Woods tries to bring down Voight for anything. Hell, even Ruzek can't get anything from Woods, as his talking goat. But the case of the week was good but not as strong like the others, but given the car chase scene was a killer to watch. I can't wait to see where this is going how Voight and Al will handle this and if their partnership/friendship will be in jeopardy. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Chicago PD Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
