The Unexpected of the Unexpected: Stitchers "The Root of All Evil"

The unexpected was clearly unexpected in this week's episode of "Stitchers."

Probably one of the most shocking moments in this episode (I should say two) was that we get to learn that Kristen has a boyfriend. They have this long distance relationship and everyone from Camille to Maggie was in shock.

I will say this that Scagilotti's performance in this was hilarious. She's amazing at what she does to make a scene humorist. When she's first introduce to the guy, she goes gaga all over and throughout the episode still does and has some fun with Kristen.

For the case of the week, a Jane Doe is found and as Kristen looks into her memory to find out who she is and who killed her. Just remember that the first time they stitch is not always the best. Kristen thought the girl was rich but than sees she lives in a rented apartment.

Mistakenly taken that she lived in the mansion, they interviewed the couple that live in the house. The husband gives a sense that he might have been the guy, but another surprise comes.

I should say that the scene between Kristen's boyfriend and Cameron was little funny. I don't think that Cameron should feel bad about himself after seeing the guy's ab's.

Okay I mention that there might have been one or two but now it's three. There was three surprises that was unexpected in this episode the other is a marriage proposal.

Not to forget that when Camille told Maggie and all them about Kristen's boyfriend, Maggie had her snoop into the guy. Of course she calls the mysterious guy to look into it because, in a photo with Kristen's boyfriend.

There were surprises and some good humor in this episode. I'm learning a little bit of Kirsten and boy was I surprised with her boyfriend coming in.  Scagilotti, I think stole the episode with her comic humor.

All in all, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch "Stitchers" Tuesday night at 9/8c on ABC Family.

Aquarius and Hannibal Moving to Saturdays

Today as it was first reported by Wall Street Journal media reporter, Joe Flint, on twitter that the NBC Thursday series "Aquarius" and "Hannibal" are moving to Saturdays. TVLine.com has confirmed the report.

Since Hannibal was recently cancelled, it makes sense to burn off the rest of the episodes has it did with "Smash." But it doesn't quite make any with "Aquarius" as it was picked up for a second season.

Flint also reported that the reason for the changes is that the "appease (NBC) affiliates not happy with their numbers."

When "Aquarius" premiered in May, it averaged 5.7 million in total with a 1.0 rating. By it's most recent July 3rd episode, the numbers had sink to 2.4 million/0.4.

"Dateline Thursday Mysteries" will take over the 9/11pm time slot that was once held by Aquarius and Hannibal stating this Thursday. With "Aquarius" airing Saturdays a 9/8c then followed by "Hannibal" at 10/9c.

Sherlock's Special teaser

Just last week, a teaser was released for the upcoming Christmas special of Sherlock. From the looks of it, it will take place at the time when Sherlock once lived back in Victorian times. This would be a great special, taking Holmes and Watson.

Hell, I get a kick out of watching Miss. Hudson and Watson arguing about the stories that he's written. That he had to grow a mustache so people can recognize him. Yeah John, the only way people will recognize you is by your mustache.

Here's the teaser.

The Special will be it's own thing and won't be part of the fourth series. I don't know if this will air on Christmas on PBS. It would be awkward if it did with Sherlock and Doctor Who airing at the same time. But it would be great to have them air in one night back to back with each other too.

Reduce Episodes of TV Series isn't that Bad.

I love television, period. I love tuning in each week to one of my favorite shows from Chicago Fire to The Big Bang Theory  and etc. I'm use to the standard 22 to 24 regular episodes of comedies and dramas but in recent years with cable networks and online streaming that reducing episodes may seem a really great idea.

I've been watching television since I could remember and I'm 26 years old so you do the math. I believe that in recent times that a full 22-24 episode season is still great. But now with a full season like that it does get a bit tiresome just tuning in week after week and yeah there are times when a rerun will come on, but that's what full seasons bring.

Now a days, with cable and online streaming, a series can go from 10 to 13 episodes. If you take a show like "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," "Breaking Bad," & "Game of Thrones" those shows tell great stories in one good season. And the best part is that after the season is over, it leaves you wanting more. Isn't that what television is all about, leaving you wanting more.

If you take a look at the final seasons of "30 Rock,"  "Parenthood" and "Parks and Recreations" there is no doubt that their final seasons were their best season by far. A short season focus on the characters and the stories that they are focusing on.

Hell, we're living now in reboot/revile era now with former shows returning from "24," "Heroes: Reborn," "The X-Files" and even "Coach.' It's a great idea and probably there will be more reboots down the road from maybe "Veronica Mars" and "Will & Grace"? I know there's been word about a "Law & Order" coming back as well with a short season.

There could be episodes that are amazing and awesome but there could be episodes that seems like a downer and doesn't wow us at all.

All I'm saying that is I think a short 13 episode season for a series isn't that bad at all. The series runs it's 13 episode course and than there might be another series that gets your attention. I could use the free time away from the television screen once in a while.

The Hunt is On: Heroes Reborn: Official Trailer

The official trailer of "Heroes: Reborn" was shown at this weekend's Comic Con and all I have to say is, the hunt is on for our Heroes to return.

Zachary Levi looks totally bad ass, but how bad ass is when Noah shows up. When Noah gets his glasses goosebumps started. The trailer looks amazing and I'm literally can't wait for the premiere to start.

Here's the official trailer.

The "Heroes: Reborn" premieres Thursday, September 24th at 8/7c on NBC
