A Flying Thrill: Departure Season 1

When a British passenger plane mysteriously disappears, investigators try to find out what happened. The mystery will keep you guessing to the end. Here are my thoughts.

Peacock's new drama series Departure has been pretty much the best new series since The Capture (which premiered in July). The series focuses on Kendra Malley (played by Archie Panjabi), brought in by her boss and mentor Howard Lawson (played by Christopher Plummer), to help investigate the disappearance of a British passenger plane.

Malley, who just suffered from losing her husband in an accident some time ago, is dealing with a troubled adopted son. She tries to figure out the plane's location before disappearing. While discovering the aircraft's location, they had only found one survivor.

During this investigation, Malley and the team go back and forth on whether it's terrorism or suicide from the pilot. But the story keeps you guessing until the end of the final two episodes, which makes a satisfying ending.

I loved Departure, and it might be my favorite new series on Peacock so far. The performances from Panjabi and Plummer were marvelous. They play so well with one another. The writing was solid, and even though I wouldn't say I liked the whole mother-son story at first, it turned around for me after learning what happened to Malley's husband and what her son did for her. I highly recommend watching this six-episode series.

Overall, I give this first season a 9/10.

You can catch Departure available now on Peacock Streaming Service.

Station 19 "Nothing Seems the Same" Season 4 Season Premiere Preview

Here's a preview of the season premiere of Station 19 titled, "Nothing Seems the Same."

"Nothing Seems the Same"

In the season premiere, when the COVID-19 pandemic hits Seattle, the Station1 9 crew leans on each other for support. Andy tries to make sense of her mother's return, while Sullivan settles into a new routine. And it's all-hands-on-deck when a group of teenagers unintentionally starts a wildfire.

Clips:

It looks like it's going to be one hell of a season premiere with on top of that being a crossover event with Grey's Anatomy. After watching all three seasons this summer, I'm looking forward to seeing where the season will take off with Andy and her mother. Will Dean come to tell Vic that he has feelings for her? And what about Sullivan and Andy?  Where their relationship is at after she wasn't there after his surgery and suffered from severe pain?

Are you excited for the return of Station 19? What are you most looking forward to this season? Leave a comment below!

Here are my thoughts on Station 19 Season 1, Season 2, and Season 3.

The Station 19 season premiere begins Thursday, Nov. 12 at 8/7c on ABC.

FBI "Never Trust a Stranger" Season 3 Premiere Preview

"Never Trust a Stranger"

In the season three premiere, the team welcomes a new member, Special Agent Tiffany Wallace (Katherine Renee-Turner), as they search for killers who orchestrated a mass shooting at a media company. OA's personal connection with the case threatens to cloud his judgment.

Photos:

Man, I think we all can't wait to see Maggie and OA back together as partners once again. Looks like OA is trouble with this case. I just hope that this new team member will be staying for more than a season. But all in all, I can't wait for the new season to begin.

The Blacklist "Roanoke" Season Premiere Preview

Here's a preview of the season premiere of The Blacklist titled, "Roanoke."

"Roanoke"

In the season premiere, Red directs the Task Force to investigate Roanoke, a legendary criminal who orchestrates elaborate extractions. Meanwhile, Liz works to hatch a secret plan with her mother, Katarina Rostova (guest star Laila Robins).

The name sounds mysterious., I can't wait to see who this Roanoke is and what their criminal plans are. But I think we're all in agreement with what Liz and Katarina are planning. Possibly to end Reddington. Oh man, I can't wait!!

There will be updates to the page.

Chicago PD "Fighting Ghosts"

In the season premiere, the team responds to the shooting of a 5-year old girl and they must work the case while facing new obstacles that come from the heightened attention on police reform. Atwater is targeted by a group of officers who want to hurt him for standing against the blue wall. Voight questions whether he's cut out for a new form of policing as he manages oversight from the CPD's deputy superintendent.

Med: I think that Will and Hannah will be breaking up this first part of the season. Ethan, April, and Lanik sound like they got some interesting stories coming but I hope they settle it soon. Dr. Charles has me worried about his daughter. Could we see another but different version of what Robin had?

Fire: First I really want to see what had happened on this scary call. Sounds very interesting in my book. I just hope that Boden doesn't push Kidd like she had gone through last season.

PD: This season will focus on police reform and I look forward to how they will address and handle it this season. What are they going to do with Voight? I would be worried to see where this will all do and go for him. Atwater's story continues after that chilling but brave decision; to tell the truth about a cop and now he's getting bullied for it. Plus #Upstead is back!!

Honestly, I just want to see everyone back. I want my #OneChicago family making me laugh, making me cry, and just bonding with them as we see them do their thing,

I will update you when available.

The season premiere of Chicago Fire begins Wednesday, November 11th at 9/8c on NBC.

Batwoman: New Batsuit Look

On Monday, The CW has released the first look at the new Batwoman batsuit for the upcoming new season.

The new batsuit will be donned by the incoming hero Ryan Wilder, played by Javicia Leslie. Ryan will take over the vigilantes mantel after first slipping into the MIA predecessor of Kate Kane's Batsuit. But don't that in the third episode of the season that the first Black Batwoman ever will step into the new Batsuit that will be "sending a message to Gotham that a new hero has arrived."

The new batsuit looks amazing. The upgrade to the batsuit just makes me can't wait for the new season of Batwoman. I could go on and on but while the photos look amazing, I really can't wait to see what this will look like on the screen whether it's a promo or episode.

You can see more about the suit on TVLine

Batwoman Season 2 will premiere in early 2021.

This Is Us Season 5 (Full)Trailer

We're just over one week away from the season five premiere of This Is Us.

We've been waiting for this for the last six months to see where this season will go after that powerful season four finale. Where do Kevin and Randall go from here after that big fight? How will the show deal with COVID-19 and the events that had to happen this summer like George Floyd/Breonna Taylor?

There's a new full trailer that's been released. Here's the trailer:

I wonder what Randall will say to Kevin at the cabin. That could just be him about to take Rebecca to that new test trial in Missouri.

What do you think of the trailer? Leave your comment.

Chicago Fire Season 9 Preview and Thoughts

Could Brett and Casey share their feelings for one another? What drama could be in store for Kidd and Seveide? What's in store for Season 9 of Chicago Fire?

TV Insider laid out a preview for the upcoming season nine of Chicago Fire and talking with the Fire's executive producer Derek Hass. Hass told TV Insider there were going to be many changes that will affect both personal and professional.

"We are going to reflect what the world is like in 2020 for Chicago firefighters, pandemic and all," said Hass. "It will be a year of new challenges."

Changes like paramedic Sylvie Brett, who is breaking in yet another new partner now that Emily Foster will be returning to medical school. She'll be partnering up with a young medic Gianna Mackey, who grew up in the same rough neighborhood as Joe Cruz.

A heads up, look for Brett and Mackey to find themselves in harrowing circumstances. Hass tells, "Don't miss the premiere's last 10 seconds."

Oh boy!

But the one question that has everyone been wanting to know will Brett and Casey begin a serious romance? The first two episodes of the season will tell. Cross your fingers!

Looks like firefighter Stella Kidd will be heading in a new direction when Chief Boden asks her to take the lieutenant's exam. That could cause some tension between her and her boyfriend, Severide, and other members of house 51.

Last season, we've seen the candidates Darren Ritter and Blake Gallo become BFFs in the firehouse. They'll still continue to learn the ropes.

"Ritter has an epic rescue coming up," Hass said. "And he might be taking a break from (his boyfriend)."

While Gallo's efforts to impress EMT Violet Lin has fizzled, he'll now face an even bigger challenge: impress his boss, Captain Casey.

"Especially, if he decides to cowboy a call instead of following orders," Hass warns.

That could surely be another big problem.

I'm just eager to get the season started right now. While I might be excited to see where Brett and Casey might be going, I'm excited to see what's going on with Kidd and Severide.

Yeah, this summer I've been back and forth on whether or not Brett and Casey should be a couple. YouTube music videos have been very helpful. Thank you!

I think that if Kidd and Severide make it through this tension of her taking the exam. Could we be looking at a marriage proposal?

Heck, has Cruz and Chloe gone on their honeymoon between this long break? What has happened at Molly's during this whole pandemic? It can't be good.

The one thing true thing I can say is that once the show has started everything will be so much better now that our best friends are back and we get to hang with them.

What do you think about the upcoming season nine?  What are you looking forward to? Leave a comment!

You can catch the season premiere of Chicago Fire Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 9/8c on NBC.

The Blacklist Season 8 Poster

The new poster for the new season of The Blacklist is out. And from what the poster looks it looks like it's no holds bar.

We know that at the end of the season finale that Liz has joined her mother and going against Reddington. For me, I still think that Red will have the upper hand, but I know I can't wait to see what comes this season.

What do you think about the poster? What are your thoughts going into Season 8? Leave a comment below!

The season premiere of The Blacklist begins Friday, Nov. 13 at 8/7c on NBC.

Also scoring a premiere date us the freshman comedy B Positive starring Thomas Middleditch and Annaleigh Ashford.

Also note: There will be "Fan Favorite" episodes from NCIS previous 17 seasons will be closing out Sunday nights starting  Nov.8th until Queen Latifah's The Equalizer is ready to join the mix (where it will lead into NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS New Orleans).

Fall Shows Still Awaiting Premiere Dates: Blue Bloods, Bull, The Equalizer, Evil, FBI, FBI Most Wanted, MacGyver, Magnum P.I, SEAL Team, and The Unicorn.

So it looks like now that CBS has their foot in the door for premiere dates in November. I'm thrilled that these shows are back, especially hearing that All Rise has its premiere set date. I think FBI and FBI Most Wanted will be making their premieres in November. If not then I think they could possibly keep them til the new year for backup purposes.

Chicago Fire Pilot: Nine Year Anniversary

It's hard to believe that nine years ago, this series debuted, and ever since, it has become a big community. I have a lot

If you are wondering, today (October 10) marks the ninth anniversary of the series Chicago Fire debuting on NBC. During the premiere week, Law & Order SVU had its two-hour season 14 premiere (which was very understandable).

In the pilot, the men and women of Firehouse 51 went on a call, but one of the firefighters got killed while trying to rescue someone trapped in a housefire. A month has passed, and the death is still taking a toll, even putting friction between Truck 81, led by Matt Casey, and Squad 3, led by Kelly Severide, about how each blames the other for losing one of their lives.

Soon, the new candidate, Peter Mills, comes to 51. He's pretty much like us, meeting everyone and getting the lay of the land. While his first call went pretty well, seeing the recuse later in the episode got him excited to be a part of the team and knowing that his father was also a firefighter.

Then there's Gabby Dawson and Leslie Shay, two paramedics on Ambulance 61. Dawson makes bold and daring efforts to save her patients, even saving a child from cardiac arrest. And not to mention saving Herrmann's life as well. Shay helps Severide, who's been dealing with severe pain in his right shoulder after that bad call earlier in the pilot, by giving him a bottle of morphine.

On the night that Chief Boden fights a cop sleeping with his wife, the 51 team gets a call of an apartment fire that had Casey and Herrmann's lives in jeopardy. But Severide and the rest rescue them, and just as everyone is out of the building and watering down the fire, the mayor of Chicago finally gets a chance to meet with Firehouse 51.

The episode ends with everyone from 51 waiting for news about Herrmann. Casey helps Dawson with the information about the little girl she saved earlier in the attack. Casey makes a phone call to his girlfriend, who returned the engagement ring earlier, hoping that she could come over.

The pilot was good, and as nine years go by, it ages pretty slowly, mainly because four of the cast members in that pilot have gone. I still love to watch the pilot once in a while. I'll admit that while it does have some soapy moments, it blossomed into a real character-driven series that focuses on the heroism of these characters and what they do above and beyond their work shifts.

I can't go against that. This pilot started the Dawsey fanbase with Casey checking up on Dawson after that incident, saving that little girl. And not to mention her asking if he would want to do something later that night. Who can argue that they should be together after that? I'm not!

The rest of the season was a solid first season. The one episode that defined the series was "A Coffin That Small." In the episode, that family, who had lost someone, was driven for a funeral, and as they went by the firehouse, the entire firehouse team suited up and saluted to them as they drove by. It had me in tears and still gives me chills rethinking that scene.

And not to mention that the first season gave us the introduction of Antiono Dawson and Hank Voight. Voight vs. Casey. Who knew that down the road, these two would be working together after what went down with Voight's son being arrested and catching Voight for being a dirty cop?

We've also got Chicago Med, which has been the one show that I've been waiting to get made since Dylan Baker's performance in the first two seasons of Chicago Fire. And not to mention the crossovers! Oh, the crossovers have been the second-best thing with these shows.

Nine years, three shows, and this show has grown into one big fan community. It's just amazing how those nine years have gone by. We've been through a lot with these characters, and I can't wait to see what comes next. Here's to nine more years with all three shows!

Can you believe that it's been nine years since the pilot aired? Have you gone back to rewatch it? How has the series changed for you? Leave a comment below and tell us your thoughts!

On NBC, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD will return with a new season on Wednesday, November 11.

Blue Bloods Alum and Lost Alum Joins FBI Most Wanted

Looks like a familiar face is returning to CBS.

Deadline is reporting that Amy Carlson is returning to CBS, after three years since the Blue Bloods blindsided reveal that her character, Linda Reagan, had been killed off, off-screen.

Carlson is set to be in a recurring role during Season 2 of FBI: Most Wanted as Jackie Ward, a veteran bounty hunter who has previously crossed paths with Julian McMahon's Jess. Jess describes her as "a force of nature" and "good at her job," but a "thorn in the (FBI) team's side."

Since leaving Blue Bloods, Carlson has had roles on NBC's The Village, Netflix's The Society. Her previous TV credits also include Law & Order: Trial by Jury, Third Watch, and Another World.

Also, in addition, Lost alum Terry O'Quinn will recur on FBI Most Wanted as Bryon Lacroix, Jess's divorced father who has "a big personality and a gambling addiction." We did get a couple of stories in Season One about their relationship.

FBI Most Wanted is scheduled to return with Season 2 sometime this early November-ish...

This should be a fun season for Jess Lacroix. I think that the addition of Carlson for this season sounds interesting and exciting. While I'm not a fan of Blue Bloods, I was a fan of her in Third Watch and Law & Order: Trial By Jury. And the addition of O'Quinn should be very good as I just finished watching the first season of Most Wanted and listening to some of Lacroix's stories about his dad sounds something exciting to explore.

It's pretty overwhelming.
