Song of the Fall: Superstore "Costume Competition"
The mission if they choose to accept it: win the costume competition and win a paid day off. Here's a recap of this Halloween episode of Superstore.
With Amy failing to get time off for her pregnancy, she gets the next best thing: win a costume competition. But when everyone steps up their costume game, her and Mateo tries to get them to take it off due to stereotyping their co-workers. That is until everyone makes a big deal and arguing what's okay and not okay. Soon they kept their costumes and competed. Mateo tries to sabotage Amy's plan too. But at the end, the gerrymandering Jonah announced that Amy is the winner.
Meanwhile, the store has a new device when it comes to moving the shopping car collector. After Sondra and the other playing with it, Glenn stops them and takes the device. But when he takes the device; the collector to follow him in a way like Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees.
And to the song of the week! The "Halloween Surfboard" was such a go grabbing song that it really made the episode better. When Jonah tells Garrett about how annoying it is, Garrett catches on and it drives him crazy so much that he calls the department to change the song. Why would Dracula put moon-tan lotion at night? It was the storyline stealer of the episode. Here's the song!
"Costume Competition" was an episode to remember and top's season three's episode too. The writing was so good and the character development was too. The performances from the cast were amazing but Colton Dunn stole the episode. Overall,I give this episode a 9.5/10.

Life Decisions: Chicago Med "What You Don't Know"
Will things get better for those who know the truth? Here's a recap of this week's Chicago Med.
Things get dicey for Will when the FBI gets him to put a listening device in Ray's house. After returning to the hospital, Natalie can see something is up with him. She sees Will leave the hospital, where he talked to Ray. Ray tells Will that he hasn't been truthful about how he's feeling, and Will calms him down, as it's him who needs to calm down. Later, Natalie confronts him about what's worrying him. He lies to her about how worried he is with the reception hall.
Conner tries to get Ava and everyone in the hospital to sign a petition for his ED OR to have a bypass machine and to get the name of the donor that made his OR happen. Ava, worried about him telling the truth, says he shouldn't need more as he should look at what's in front of him. He does, and I think that may open things up for them.
Ava, on the other hand, worked with Dr. Charles when a patient that they thought was trying to commit suicide had Huntington's disease. He wants no heroic measures to save him, but his son wants him to live. The father was hiding his illness from his son and tried to keep it a secret from him, but he could have the disease, too. So both Ava and Charles told the son after his father died, he could request an autopsy and learn from there.
After that, Ava tries to tell Conner about who the donor is, but he tells her that he doesn't need to know. He tells her that his eyes are wide open not only to the ED OR but also to them.
Natalie battles with a mother who wants her daughter to have a rape kit done. Natalie tries to explain to the mother that she can't do a rape kit without her daughter's consent. But the mother tells Natalie her own story about when she got raped, which she finally told her daughter, which later decided to have a rape kit done.
Ethan and Apil probably had one hell of an episode after seeing Emily's sonogram with Bernie. With everything going smoothly, they get a visit from Bernie, who had a slip and needs surgery. But the shocker comes when they see Bernie's wife and daughter.
Ethan brings Emily back to the ED, and she sees him. But it doesn't go well when Bernie's wife meets Emily and soon runs off. Ethan hopes that Emily will leave Bernie, but she does not and will stick with him. Oh boy!
"What You Don't Know" was a unique and at times intense episode. There were a lot of moments that stood out from this episode. But my top three were Will's undercover and confronted moments, Natalie's helping a mother's secret, and Ava and Charles dealing with Huntington's disease. It had some strong character development, mainly for Ava, which I enjoyed. I think this was Norma Kuhling's best performance as Dr. Bekker. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch Chicago Med Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

Past and Future Stress: This Is Us "Toby"
Sometimes the rock in the family needs a rock to lean on too. Here's a recap of This Is Us.
"Toby" was an astonishing episode. It was such a deep in character developing piece of an hour. From Randall's rocky politic start to Kevin meeting his dad's army buddy. But it was Toby and Kate that was the real centerpiece as they are waiting for word on whether they could have kids with Kate's embryos. From eight to three and down to one, it becomes stressful for the couple and when Toby finally tries to get back on his medication while Kate uses her Adele-a-gram to take the stress away.
We look back into the past of Rebecca and the family, who's their rock in the family. You would think it would be Randall, but it's not this time, it's Miguel. When Miguel brings Rebecca a piano, he helps fix their Refridgerator. After a rough prom night, Miguel tries to talk to Randall, whose prom date's father didn't approve of him. And helps when Kevin comes by his place when he had too much to drink. But it comes to show that Miguel was the rock for them.
Kevin meets with Mr. Robinson, who fought in Vietnam with his father. After having a nice meal and chat, they talked about his connection with his father. Kevin learns what his dad really did and that he wasn't an auto mechanic but a sergeant. He tells him that there are things that a man don't want to tell talk about. That was until the end when he came back just before Kevin and Zoe left and gave him some letters and a photo of Jack with a woman, who wears the necklace that Kevin is wearing. That opens up another can of worms.
We dive into Toby's past in this episode and it couldn't have been more powerful. We see how Toby deals with stress from the time as a child to his marriage. But he gets well and meets Kate. Toby tries to get back on his medication, but it doesn't go well and tries to distract himself until he learns that he missed the phone call from Kate's doctor. Even though it's good news, Kate's pregnant, Toby breaks down and cries.
Randall's political adventures didn't go the way he had hoped when opening up a campaign at a local BBQ place. Trying to tell them what he thinks and wants to do, they all shut him down and explain that the current councilman is fine. So Randall needs to rethink about what to do next. In the meantime, Beth had a job interview and she tells him that it went smooth, but apparently had lost her composure.
I was amazed and stunned by the end of the episode. So well written and well performed from Chrissy Metz and Chris Sullivan but Susan Kelechi Watson gives a stunning last-minute performance. But the episode opens up to more questions: Who's the lady with Jack in Vietnam? And what's wrong with Beth and could it be connected to the future? We'll just have to wait and see. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch This Is Us Tuesdays t 9/8c on NBC.
