Will Eleanor come to her senses that she's capable of loving someone? Here's a recap of this week's episode of The Good Place.
Michael informs Eleanor about how, during the many reboots, he and Chidi were always in love. Stopping at the library, Michael uses Janet's device to show Eleanor the many, many reboots, from how Eleanor and Chidi grew closer and closer that they fell in love. But what Eleanor sees is that everything in those reboots was all determinism and not free will.
Michael proves that falling in love with Chidi was of their own free will. But it becomes clear from Michael that Eleanor is afraid of being in a relationship. After catching up with the group at the airport, she realizes that and looks at Chidi as they smile at one another.
When Eleanor apologizes to Michael, he figures out something that could get people to rack up points to get into a good place, thinking that they are the only ones in the world who know about the afterlife until Shawn and his team invite a portal to walk on Earth. Holy Shirt!
"The Worst Possible Use of Free Will" was once again on my list of favorite episodes. It depicts the meaning of determinism and free will well and clearly in this episode. Also, there were so many moments to return to; I want to see Reboot 444.
Not only does Kristen Bell give another outstanding performance in this episode, but her chemistry with Ted Danson only proves that they are a two-of-a-kind comedy duo. Plus, after all that's been happening this week, this episode put me in a good place with laughter and love.
Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.
You can catch The Good Place on Thursdays at 8:30/7:30 on NBC.
