The Palace of Love: Life In Pieces "Video Piercing Model Hangover"/"Sixteen Spanish Car Leak" Season Finale

Image result for Life in Pieces "Sixteen Spanish Car Leak"

The season finale of Life In Pieces was, at times, what you would think, and some came off as a complete shock. Here's a recap!

The first half-hour of "Video Piercing Model Hangover" was hilarious, with moments you would want to rewatch again. Whether trying to get a "Thank You" card from Matt and Colleen that turned into a video message or Sophia making a solid case for her parents to get her ears pierced, which would lead to having Tim outdo her.

But the winner for this episode would be John being the model for the senior citizen's latest gadgets, from the chair lift to the blood pressure monitor that alerted John's high blood pressure. And Jen and Greg, waking up after a hangover from a school auction, see their daughter doing stuff by herself, from making her cereal to getting water for them. It leads to Greg and Jen to have more time, which leads to Jen being pregnant.

The second half hour, "Sixteen Spanish Car Leak," was just as hilarious as the first and probably even better. Matt and Colleen won this episode with their storyline of having a baby after learning their surrogate is pregnant (and it's not theirs). The news leads them to buy a new car, which opens up to having a baby, and they announce after Sam's sixteen birthday that they're going to adopt, but Jen's pregnancy announcement from Lark ruined but brought the family together.

Speaking of Sam's sixteen birthday, when Sam thought that her family had forgotten her birthday, she spent the day with her boyfriend, after a lovely day was about to turn into a night of first. But her parents and family caught every word as she entered the dark house to surprise her. I guess the surprise was on both of them, But just before the party, Joan wanted to explore the world with John and tried to get them to learn to speak Spanish for their Spain trip. Instead of just using an app to help translate, they wanted to know it the old-fashioned way, which became a nightmare when buying stuff at a Spanish market. They went with the translating app.

The season finale was just as hilarious and memorable as the previous episodes. It will also explain why this show is one of the best family sitcoms on television, with fantastic writing and an ensemble cast. The ending of the episode, with everything playing to the song "Listen to the Music" by The Doobie Brothers, with all the love each other brings, makes you satisfied with smiles. I couldn't be more happy with what the next season will bring (even if it's coming in mid-season next season).  Overall, I give this episode a 9/10 and the season a 9.5/10.

You can catch Life In Pieces, as they'll return for a fourth season next year.

Secret Is Revealed: The Blacklist "Sutton Ross (No. 17)" Season Finale

Image result for The Blacklist Sutton Ross

In the season finale of The Blacklist, the secret will be revealed one way or another. Spoiler Alert!

Let's recap it: We meet Sutton Ross as he pretends to be FBI agents and steals Data and information on someone as he tries to steal someone for money. He's the guy that Red and Liz are hunting down, because he has the duffel bag of bones. After both failing to get him, Liz finally got to Sutton with his own game, pretend to be a buyer.

Just as Liz demands answers from Sutton, he tells her that he'll tell her only alone, which happens but til he starts to hold her hostage. Red thinks that Sutton is bluffing, but Aram and Cooper can't take it and lets both of Liz and Sutton go. Sutton calls Red to demand to see him or he'll kill Liz.

After making an arrangement and distracting the FBI on where Red went, Red gets there tied to a chair in-front of Liz. With Red not talking, Sutton takes Liz to the other room and being beaten. It was until Red decides to talk til the FBI came in with Dembe and Red goes in rescuing Liz. He soon leaves with the duffel bag and shoots Sutton point blank in the chest. Red walks out and heads to Dominic's house to burn the bones, thinking that Liz doesn't know, but that's not true.

As Liz is standing over Tom's grave, she's talking to him like he's actually there and tells him what really happen that as soon as Sutton talked that he needed to get out and that the escapee was Liz's plan. Plus Liz meets with the person that helped along with this, Jennifer. They planned to get Red talking, even if Liz had to get hurt badly for it. But she finally tells Tom that she knows the secret of the bones that it's Raymond Reddington and that she'll take down Red one way for good.

So okay, this season finale was everything that I had hoped and more as it was exciting, dramatic, emotional (with Aram and Samar: ALL GOOD!). But the point that I really didn't believe was Liz taken hostage fro Sutton at the Post Office. I would know that Liz would kick Sutton's butt in that situation. Megan is a great actor, but Liz wasn't so much. But I will admit that I was shocked to see Jennifer there as I really didn't think she was involved. To see two half-sisters come together and working against Red was pretty creepy and shocking. This really sets up a terrifying season six, unless Red can figure it out before Liz takes him out with her soon to be assembled team.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10 and the season a 9/10.

You can catch The Blacklist as it will return next season (mid-season on Fridays sometime in January) on NBC.

Breaking and Pushing: Chicago Med "The Tipping Point" Season Finale

Image result for Chicago Med The Tipping Point

The season finale of Chicago Med had everything you were hoping and still leaving you wanting more but it left with some pretty shocking moments.

Let's begin with the most biggest part of the episode: the separation of the twins. Even after Rhodes' stepped down after he lost a patient in last week's episode, he still has a hand in it no matter if he's scared of not. Playing more of viewing from behind the scenes, he did leave his mark and got in there to help perform a difficult procedure that required a shunt in the heart and later helping with the separation. It left with a very nice offer to Rhodes a position at the Mayo Clinic and after telling Bekker about it, it kind of broken things with them.

Ethan get worried about his sister running away with April reminding him that what she did was wrong to take and steal pain meds from the hospital. But when Deb and Kiki come in with pain, throwing up and liver enlarge, turns out that they have Hep. A and both him and Manning headed out there looking at everyone else to make sure they're okay. They find Laura and Ethan's sister as well, all brought back. Laura got the worst of the case and that also includes Hep. C. With her diagnosis, Laura's baby, that was adopted, had to come in to get tested and after seeing her for a few minutes and learning that she will be okay then Laura's condition took a tumble.

Reese has been trying to take care of her dad by helping him pick a nursing home for his rehab and let alone helping him get exercise too (walking). Charles gets word about the parents of the college student was murdered and after a couple of minutes talking with Haywood, he managed to have a chat with the parents and finding a item from her room (stuff monkey) which would later be found in Haywood's apartment.

Goodwin not only had to deal with the big twin separation news, but also was asked to be at board meeting but it was Burt, her ex-husband, that came in after trying to kill himself. Halstead tried to talk to him, even Charles tries to talk to him (even as a friend) but that didn't work til it was Sharon that tells him to think of what he still has, their three children, which kind of helped get him to admit of seeking help.

Now with all those moments, lets put those that left us with in shock state of wishing for the fall season to start. After treating  his sister, Ethan is determined to help Emily but April thinks that she can't get the help due to being damaged but Ethan isn't given up on her and tells her that she's coming back to stay with them that quickly turns into just being with him. After a successful day, Sharon gets word of a new Trauma chief on the floor and a new CCO of the hospital that she might need to keep an eye on. Rhodes and Bekker might have broken things up again.

After losing Laura, word about the twins being separated was celebrated among the hospital and even Frisch comes over to Halstead and asked if he wants to celebrate with him, for which he turns down and  Natalie finally learns who it was that he had a one night. After that went south, he's plan for a proposal up on the roof turned to being in the parking lot and asking on the spot.

But real moment came when Charles confronts Haywood about stories of murders around the campus where he taught and as they talked Haywood tells Charles that he can't admit that he had won his daughter back over what he had tried to do. But when Charles talks more about the case, it pushes Haywood fall to the ground with his new heart stopping leaving with Reese to come in and see both of them on the floor.

"The Tipping Point" seemed to be the tipping point of where are characters are with life challenges. With all the good things that had happen for the characters, it could be broken with one little saying or not informing or pushing to the limits. I thought the season finale was as strong of an episode as ever with strong character development and leaving us some major questions about certain characters: like for one did Natalie said yes or no? Even that was awkward proposal. But the big one was Haywood collapsing to the floor in front of Charles and Reese coming in at the end. Is he dead? If he is I assume that he caused his heart to stop in the way that he had Reese played to his hands an all. Probably not going to make the relationship between Reese and Charles good again. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10 and the season a 9/10.

You can catch Chicago Med when they return in the fall Wednesday night of #OneChicago at 8/7c on NBC.

Pain and Suffering Chicago PD "Homecoming" Season Finale

Image result for chicago pd homecoming

Okay, guys, let's take a breath in and out. This existed a biggie of a season finale of an episode than before. So, let's get to it.

After getting a quick recap of how we got here, as Voight is about to tell what happened to Woods, he receives a call about how Al is at Med with severe stab wounds. Voight gets there, and just as he sees Al, tells him he's going to make it, but as we wait, wait, and wait, Voight finds the surgeon and asks about Al, for which he had died.

After informing the team, who's in disbelief, they pull every heart and energy to find the man who killed Al. My first suspect would be the man who put Al in jail, but we'll get to that later. In the meantime, the team set up shop at the county jail and found out from security tapes that it was a set up by the security guard, letting the man who stabbed Al get to do it. Voight had some lesser words for the man who stabbed Al, even if he wasn't answering questions.

It all laid down to a man getting even with Al for arresting his cousin on gun charges for carrying them for his business and led to trying to get to the man's home, but all there was was his wife and mother-in-law. But Voight didn't get any answers from the wife, but Burgess and Upton got it. The team went to the warehouse, where they took down the leader and his men. Voight had a one-on-one with the man who called for Al's death and shot him twice, knowing that he had a gun, but that's not what two witnesses saw across the way, and even Antonio didn't see it, but I'm sure he still had Voight's back.

In the meantime, with Al gone and Voight's confession out, Woods gets word from the ASA that an eyewitness saw Voight take out the man who shot his son from the bar. Woods gets her information and meets with her, and after hearing her story, he takes it and fixes it, taking her phone jewelry and giving her money. Soon, Woods phones Voight for a meeting, and after talking about how these two got here, knowing each other for over 30 years, Voight admits that he isn't a dirty cop but is the one person who will do anything to protect the city. So Woods tells Voight about a witness who had come forward seeing him taking away the man who killed his son, and Voight returns with how he finds her with a surprised look. Voight finally got the SOB and was taken away thanks to the ASA and Katie (the so-called witness).

But after all that has happened, it was the last few minutes of the emotionally powerful episode, watching Voight grieve, apologizing to Al for all that has happened while drinking on the roof. You see the pain that has finally boiled that he lets his emotions out by punching the door, crying, and screaming; it is unlike anything we saw Voight do in the past five seasons.

"Homecoming" might be ranked as one of the best season finales of CPD in the series. It leads with so much emotion and intensity, from the death of Al to finding the killer to even getting Woods to come down from his mighty sword. The writing was outstanding for this episode and throughout the season, and that closed the chapter of this season's story arc. Some episodes put characters like Voight on the verge (like his son's death), but this one took the cake, and Jason Beghe gave one of his best performances as Voight in the series. I'll be honest: I thought when I saw Voight on Chicago Fire that he was a dirty cop, but after the backdoor episode and the first season of CPD, I had a change of heart.

Overall, I give this episode a 10/10 and the season overall a 9.5/10.

Just as the episode ended, word came out that all Chicago series (Fire, PD, and Med), along with SVU, have been renewed for another season (which we all knew would happen).

You can catch episodes of Chicago PD on demand, NBC.com, and the NBC app, with the new season coming this fall.

Set Back: A.P. Bio "Drenching Dallas" Season Finale

Image result for A.P. Bio Drenching Dallas

In the season finale, will Jack finally get what he had hoped for since the premiere? Here we go!

After taking the Miles' offer of taking his position at Stanford, Jack parades the school for one last time, but when he sees Colin get pranked by a girl, who asked him out to prom, he decides to help get revenge on her and the drum-line team. Just as they come up with great ideas to get back, Jack gets a call from Miles checking in and reminds him that he shouldn't do anything bad before moving to Stanford, which means he can't help the students' revenge.

Meanwhile, the teachers come up with a goodbye video for Jack at the prom, but when looking through clips they spot a ghost like figure, but they don't believe til Helen tells them the story of Beehive Bethany.

At the dance, the A.P. Bio students get ready for the revenge they've been looking for: to fake the king and queen ballots and Carrie their butts. But by the time it happened and Jack was given his short speech and the goodbye video plays, Jack gets a call from Miles and tells him that he got canned for being in a relationship online with a high school kid.  Which means Jack can't have the Stanford job because of Miles' recommendation and just as he gets the news, the bucket of pigs blood dumps on the king and queen and everyone runs out of the gym.

With a disappointing Jack walking back to school, he tells Durbin that he'll stay and walks back to his class, who thought that he had left for good. Sorry Sarika! But with no revenge plot to go on anymore, the Heather jumps to the chalkboard with a plan of her own to deport Miles. Soon it lefts Jack's spirit and takes down other people that done everyone wrong too even Jack (thanks Sarika!).

"Drenching Dallas" was very good and very much gave a nice closing end to the season, even though Jack didn't get what he wanted but his relationship with the students grown to even more. If there's a season 2 (which I hope there is) I hope it's about seeking revenge on those people they have listed on the board. That would be pretty good. The show has an amazing cast and the writing for the show is really good.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10 and the season one a 8.5/10.

You can catch A.P. Bio available on NBC.com and NBC app.

Take a Deep Breathe: This Is Us "The Wedding" Season Finale

Image result for this is us the wedding

The season finale of This Is Us, left us grabbing tissues and not to mention some surprises into what happens in the next season.

It's Kate and Toby's wedding and things were looking up til Kate was missing her something old: her dad's old Dayton shirt. With Kevin and Randall handing the wedding stuff, they look for something old that belongs to Jack. But Kate goes on herself a journey not only to find something that connected her with her dad, from the ice cream shop to the stump in the woods where they talked. This going while she talked to Rebecca about these dreams (flashbacks) of the wedding but it was Rebecca and Jack's renewing their vows with everyone there, except for Toby. What could that mean? That Toby isn't the one? He won't live as long as Jack?

In the meantime, Randall and Beth try to handle with the Deja situation as she's showing no interest of going to the wedding. As Beth reconnects with her cousin, her cousin talked with Deja of her experience with her mother leaving her. Thing were going good until Toby's mother makes a comment that she looked like Randall and after that it was Deja pulling a scene from Beyonce's Lemonade video.

With where this season took these characters, it felt that they've come to acceptance of their father's death and who they are as Kevin and Randall making a great toast to Kate and Toby. But as the episode comes to an end, we see flash forward of Randall with Tess asking if she's ready to see her (who? Beth? Deja?), Kate walking into the bedroom of Toby, who doesn't look too good, in bed, and Kevin on a plane looking at a photo of his dad and uncle from Vietnam along with Beth's cousin.

I'd very much enjoyed this episode like every other episode this season. This seemed like a bit of that cherry on top with the stomach for wanting more when finished. I thought the writing was strong and the performances from the cast was amazing. I think that this was Chrissy Metz's best episode performance. Not to mention Chris Sullivan, who's scene with Toby's parents was so good as he stand up to Kate after they didn't think she was the right person for him. I literally couldn't get enough of Kevin and Randall's scenes in this episode from trying to find something old for Kate to trying to find Kate. Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10 also the season a 10/10.

You can catch This Is Us streaming on the NBC app and Hulu. And catch Season 3 this fall on NBC.

"Okay, Here We Go" The Good Place "Chapter 26: Somewhere Else" Season Finale

Image result for the good place somewhere else

Hot diggity dog! With such a creative adventure in Season 2, where would our gang end up in the season finale?

As Michael makes a case for Eleanor and the gang to Jan about how the system is broken and the two had a decision about it, in private. While they were in a private meeting, feelings were out in the opening: Tahani tells Eleanor about how she walked away from her parents, Janet tells Jason how she really feels and Chidi goes for it and kiss Eleanor with the phrase "hot diggity dog!"

Soon Michael and Jan come out and figured out a way that would give him more time: to place them all in their own Middle Place or go back to The Bad Place. With both options suck for them, Michael comes up a way that might work and with a little convincing to Jan to do it, she agrees and with the snap of his finger....we're back all the way to the beginning before death.

We jump back to Eleanor just before she gets killed, but instead of getting run over by shopping carts and hit by a truck, she gets saved by a mysteries man, Michael. And soon after Eleanor tries to be a good person from being an advocate for the environment to coming out to her roommate about the dress that she ruined and the t-shirts her and other roommate sold. But soon all good things do come to and end when Eleanor experience a set back when she accidentally bump a car and is sued by the person for whiplash.

Meanwhile, Michael and Janet are in a room watching all four, but mainly Eleanor in this episode, as they watch the transcripts of their doing.. Michael sees that Eleanor has slipped back into her old attitude and tries to help her give her a push in the right directions again. As Eleanor celebrates her birthday, she meets with the bartender, who happens to be Michael (Did anyone get a Cheers nostalgia? I sure did!). Michael advises Eleanor about how rewards are't necessary gonna been given to you as known as moral dessert. And asked her the simple question: what do we owe each other?

When Eleanor wakes up, she searches for Chidi and watches his long videos of ethics and morals of a good person. After watching all of them, Eleanor flies to Sydney, Australia to see Chidi and asked if they could talk. Michael looks at the transcript from Eleanor's and with a smile he says, "okay...here we go."

The season finale was so satisfying from start to finish, not only ending on a good note but a path to what's ahead for season three as I assume that with Eleanor meeting up with Chidi that they're heading to a path of meeting each other and doing some good. But that's just a thought. The episode really depicts second chances and asked that question about the morals and ethics of being a good person, which this season really strives to the theme. Loved the performance from Bell and Danson, mostly watching them at Sting's Dessert Rose bar and Danson was the bartender. Who didn't freak out watching that scene? Overall, I give this episode a 9/10 and Season 2 a 10/10.

You can catch The Good Place on Demand, on the NBC app, Netflix later this summer (I assume).

"Bitchin'" Stranger Things Season 2, "Chapter 9: The Gate" Season Finale

Everything has been leading up to this moment!!

In the season two finale, we first get a very nice and emotional reunion between Eleven and Mike and finally the cat was out of the bag when everyone learned that she has been living with him for a year. That didn't go well with Mike and when Hopper took him to talk privately, Mike let his anger out at him as Hopper hugs him.

After a quick hugs and greets with everyone, including Max, Joyce takes Eleven to see Will. Seeing also the message about close gate, to Eleven that means the gate in the upside down is about to be open and she can close it. Along with that plan, Joyce figures out instead of letting Will die with the gate closing, they heat up his body so the creature that's inside him can get out before the gate closes.

So Joyce, Johnathan and Nancy take Will to Hopper's cabin where he and Eleven have been staying. They cranked up the heat with fire, space heaters, etc to make sure it's hotter than the sun. Will wakes up and screams that he's burning. As they watch him, it doesn't seem to work so Joyce cracks up the space heaters more and soon, the creature was about to come out but they needed more and that's where Nancy grabs the hot poker and burns Will's side.

Hopper and Eleven headed back to the DOE building and close the gate before the creature monster gets out. But before they got there, the two finally made peace after talking of where she went and why he's been the way he was with her. As they go in the DOE, Eleven gets flashbacks of her stay there, then Hopper and Eleven go in and after getting word from Johnathan to close the gate after the creature had escape Will's body.

While all of this was going on, Mike doesn't want to be the player sitting on the bench, even though he hates sports analogy. Trying to convince Steve to take them to the pumpkin patch, he gives a big no. Well then comes big bad step brother of Max, who really has a good lie detector on him to see that Steve lied to him and soon the two fight. Steve was going so good til the dude starts swinging back like a mad man. Kicking the crap out of Steve, Max grabs the syringe and injects her step brother with the same dose that Will got and after a few minutes the dude finally went down but not before Max threaten him with Steve's bat.

Mike and the gang head out to the pumpkin patch as Max drives her brother's car probably one of the humorist highlight of the episode. They get there and headed in, Steve leads the way and as they get to the spot, they start spraying and dumping gasoline all over and soon starts the fire. This happens the same time as Will was burning up. Mike and the gang head out but not before Dustin sees his Dart in the way and gives him a couple of Musketeers and head out.

As Eleven trying to close the gate, she has a hard time doing it but remembers what Eight had said and taught her to remember the events that make you upset and use that anger, which she did. And just as the creature was coming out in the same form as it was in Will, she used all of her powers to push it away and closed the gate. As the gates closed, it all killed the creature dogs, including Dart.

As soon as it was over, we jump a month later to see that the DOE has been shut down and things were looking so good for the town of Hawkins. Hopper has lunch with Owens, who'd survived, and he gives Hopper a present that he is the proud father of Jane Hopper (Eleven). He asked Owen how long before she can go out, Owens gives it a year. But how about one night?

We jump to the Snow Ball dance, Dustin fixes his hair the way Steve does and after losing to Lucas to dance with Max, he jumps to two other girls before Nancy dances with him. Will gets to dance with someone too. Hopper and Joyce share a smoke like they did in the good old days. But the one moment we've all been waiting for with the song "Everything Breathe You Take," comes Eleven/Jane in her dress and Mike walks up to her and soon dances (as they try to learn) and soon kisses (short one).

With everything that seems to be going to well and trying up with a nice big bow, as we see the school's gym, we see the upside down version of the school and sees the shadow monster that Will has been seeing. Could it be that it's finally going to be staying in the upside down for good or will we see this thing back in Season 3?

"The Gate" was one hell of a good season finale and I thought that it really wrapped up some of the story-lines probably since the beginning of the series. Like Nancy and Dustin, who Dustin had a crush on her and a season later she's dancing with him. Mike and Eleven finally are at the Snow Ball dance. Even Joyce and Hopper spending some time with one another, who I think would make a really good couple. I really can't pick who outperformed who because everyone in this episode really did an outstanding and equal part. The one thing I still don't get is Max's step brother has to what part was he there, just to give us some intense scenes with Max and Steve? The writing of the episode was so so good as well. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Season 2:
I thought Season 2 was a step up from Season 1 with the writing and character growth. The performances from Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, David Harbour, Noah Schnapp was just outstanding, mostly coming Ryder, who should be considered for awards for her role as Joyce. Not to mention Millie Bobby Brown, with only a shorter screen time than last season, had another amazing season too.  Sean Astin's performance grew on me from time. I didn't care much for Bob at first and the way he was telling Will about facing your fears head on didn't really settle with me, but later helping with Joyce and Mike and being the superhero he said he is, I really liked the character.  And I couldn't left out Paul Reiser, who played Owen well to his ability as a dark and mysterious in the beginning but was kind of caring at the end of the season.

The anticipation for this season was not disappointing at all. Yeah there were some stories that felt lite like the Nancy and Johnathan relationship to even the Max and her step brother, for which I'm still scratching my head about. But most of the other stories from Will and Eleven made me forget some of those stories. The writing was really amazing. Overall, I give this season a 9/10.

You can catch seasons one and two of Stranger Things on Netflix now. Also you can catch the Blu-ray/DVD of Season One available in stores now.
