Thursday Night Drama

Heroes Reborn "The Needs of Many"

After learning what EPIC program is about, Noah tries to get back in and get Molly,  Tommy tries saving his mother and Joanne finds the truth of why Luke has been acting awkwardly.

With project EPIC, Noah and Quentin need to get back and find Molly that's been held captive to use her and other Evos powers thanks to Erica Kravid. Thanks to her daughter, who learned the truth about her boyfriend, she help Noah get in, but it didn't go the way Noah hoped when Molly killed herself.

But Molly says that he mustn't look to the past but the future, the future needs to be saved. That's probably what the mysterious color lights that everyone saw. It must be a call to arms kind of thing.

Luke has a whole lot different perspective when he's powers show when he's in front of the sunlight. After watching Joanne kill another Evo, who had a family. Soon he tells her or showed her his power. She almost shoots him but doesn't and walks away.

Meanwhile, Miko is on her way to the United States and gets help from fan of her video game. And Tommy tries saving her mother by teleporting her to the ER and given her blood. But after testing his blood to see if he's a match, it turned a red flag and the cops where there.

And Malina heads down south to get help with whats probably going to be the biggest event that needs more than one hero to stop it.

Overall, I give this episode 8/10.

The Player "L.A. Takedown"

Alex and Johnson makes a deal to work together on finding what happen to his ex-wife. But Alex seems to have trust issues and have a friend do some digging. That did not go well with Johnson, who drugged Alex's friend and grabbed the copies and made some false paper work for Alex to look at and listen.

Alex's next job was to rescue someone from a drug cartel, but is more like Alex Kane. Trying to find this guy, realizing that after rescuing the guy was going after his son. I couldn't get enough of Alex and Cassandra's chemistry between these two,w ho work like Jack Bauer and Chloe from 24 expect there's a lot more humor.

I couldn't get enough of that helicopter scene when Alex and Cassandra where looking to snipe the guy befor ehe kills the client's son.

Overall, I enjoyed the episode much. I give it a 7.5/10, for which the run and shooting scene blew my mind, Johnson getting stuff done and Alex and Cassandra teamworking is amazing.

You can catch The Player Thursday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

Bones "The Brother in the Basement"

The case went left and a bit right, but it was until a broken finger appeared that help the case to go on. Soon they found two dead bodies and one of the clues that help solved the case, the the killer used brass knuckles in the head, but suffered a broken wrist which turned out to be the ultimate clue to who it is, which was the guy that came in and help.

But after a tough time, Booth is saved and both him and Bones are coming back to do what they do best, solve crime and catch bad guys.

Overall,  I give this episode a 6/10. It wasn't as dramatic as it was last week  but it was okay.

Tensions Rises: The Blacklist "Marvin Gerard"

Tension runs high for Liz as Red tries to get a Blacklist to help with the fulcrum situation . This episode had everything you want for a television series.

The episode picked off from where we left off, Liz has turn herself to the Russian Embassy to have an asylum. Red doesn't like it and nether does Russler who wants to go in there and get Liz out of there. Red gets word that when Liz is taken to Moscow the second she's on the plane that she gets shot. Red gets Ressler to stop but it was a bit too late.

Russler drives and ambushes the cars, but Liz escapes and meets up with Red at a local diner. Liz doesn't look good at all. She might be losing it from what she's been through since the shooting. Soon Red sees cops pulling in and goes out and starts shooting at the car. Now a hostage situation was in play but it's not what you would expect.

Red talks to Ressler and demanded that he has Marvin Gerard, who's a blacklist but a good one. They bring him out and Gerard goes in. Red ask Marvin to look through the fulcrum and figures out that there are some holes that don't seem too good.

Tension rises, mostly for Liz, who almost had her gun taken away from her, but kicked the crap out of a guy, hurting the guy pretty bad. Liz starts freaking out with her eyes just in shocked from what she has done.

Soon, when Red gets on the phone with Ressler and ask for the rest of demands, but Ressler and the FBI was checking out about a phone call message to 911. In a brilliant way, Red left Ressler a message. As he listens to the message, Red, Liz and Gerard are heading out with the help from Chewy the diner owner into a hidden freezer to and underground cell.

One thing is for sure, you don't doubt Red, he's always one step ahead of anyone.

Red and Liz let Gerard go as he is free from the law and runs off with his soon to be wife. As for Liz and Red, they relax what looks to be a nice room, Red eats the best pecan pie. Liz ask how he ever gets looks from people, like the one she got in this episode.

But as he talks about how he loved to be a captain and sail out to sea, he opens the door and show Liz a beautiful night sky with the stars as they are on a ship. It was literally one of the most beautiful scene so far. It just felt that after the everything that had happen, they taken this moment to enjoy the stars.

But it's not over, not by a long shot. As Ressler heads home, he gets a surprise visit from Tom Keen. Also Cooper is no longer having his job, and seems to be on desk duty. But if we know Cooper, he's not going to stop. He's going to help. And I can't forget Dembe who seems to be a prisoner under Mr. Solomon, who's looking for Reddington.

This episode didn't disappoint at all. It was just as exciting as last week's season premiere episode. The tension and emotion carried on from then on. Megan Boone gave a great performance. I can't say enough about Diego Klattenhoff. He was outstanding.

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

Here's a promo for next week's episode.

You can catch The Blacklist Thursday nights at 9/8c on NBC.

One Shot, Trust Your Instincts: Code Black "We Plug Holes"

When it comes to emergency medicine, your instincts need to be sharper than anything. This week's episode shows that with each of the characters in a situation.

Let's start with Christa, who seems to think that her and Leanne are one in the same. Expect that one likes to open up with her feelings and the other no so much. A case of a woman who's last ovary has turned over and needs medical surgery when in hours if she wants to have children. Christa does everything she can to get this person up to surgery, convincing not only Hudson but Leanne as well.  Soon, Hudson comes up with a way to perform surgery and help save the patient's ovary.

Meanwhile, Savetti gets a case of an athlete trying to leave the ER because he thinks that there's nothing wrong with him. Savetti builds a an anger towards the patient, who he thinks had a seizure. Even with the athlete's manager who wants the diagnosis erase, showed signs of a seizure.

And of course when two residents differ on a man's diagnosis when he comes in with back pain. Melanie thinks it's just a pulled muscle but Angus thinks it more of his heart, which he was right and Leanne gets not only him but everyone about it that there's no time to think, but got to be quick and trust your instinct when it comes to making a call.

I enjoyed this episode. I think that Marcia is unbelievable in this series. The story telling is so good and I couldn't get enough of some of the medical stories like the elderly lady who ate up over $3 in change and the residents have to wait for the money to pass.

I'm guessing that every episode there's going to be a code black situation but I wonder what it would look like if there wasn't a code black and how they would handle a situation of not getting slammed so much.

Overall, I give this episode a 7.5/10.

You can catch Code Black Wednesday nights at 10/9c on CBS.

Friends and Heart: The Mysteries of Laura "The Mystery of the Locked Box"

How does a murder occur under a tight top security system at an apartment complex?  You'll be surprised on how this one went down.

A top billionaire is murdered in his own apartment, with slashes all over his body. That's the question Laura and the gang are asking. No one got in and no one got out.

They looked from the mother, business partner to even the crazy maybe up wife. They even search and captured the mysterious hat man, who was at the funeral but found out that he's the victim's father.

But thinking about it more and more the way you had to think to solve this case was to think tech. When they search the business partner again, who happens to have the victim's cell phone, turns out that he wasn't the guy at all. Even though he was a total moron from the start.

It took tech and a voice enhancer to figure out who it was and not to mention wheezing. It turned out the murderer was the best friend, who was not happy and left a bunch of messages on the victim's phone. The murderer had a drone come in and slash the victim.

What a techy mystery it turned out to be. Not to mention that we found out that Jake does suffer a bit of memory lost but the pills that he's taken is for his heart condition that he has kept under wraps. I'm beginning to worry about what will happen.

I enjoyed this episode a lot. Laura eating in the ME's office, telling the store manager that a box of crackers are $7. Even Max had some really good funny scenes. Also the case was pretty good, i would have thought it was the business partner.

Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

Here's a promo for next week's episode.

You can catch The Mysteries of Laura Wednesday nights at 8/7c on NBC.

Chicago PD "Natural Born Storyteller"

Lindsay is back, and the squad takes on one of their most challenging cases yet.

As Burgess and Roman chase a suspect on foot, Burgess finds blood on a refrigerator door and a dead boy inside. The teams come together and search for who the boy is and see his parents. Looking for any clues, the boy lived three houses down from where he was found.

They come across a suspect who's a sex offender but isn't registered. Soon, Voight and the team get word that he lives just a few houses down from where the boy lives and rush to the house to see if he's there. Not there, they come across a friend/roommate who's also a sex offender. The roommate says that a group of guys took his friend away.

Voight talked to the victim's mother and asked if she and her husband knew about a sex offender living in their neighborhood. She did, and it took less than 2 minutes to say that her husband was taking care of it but beating the crap out of the guy.

Quickly the team raced to stop the victim's father from beating the crap out of the suspect.

But soon, the tables turn when the father's friend gets a notice that his son is missing too. Soon, another piece of the puzzle comes when they go back to ask the auto repair guy, but he isn't there. He took the boy and found him at a festival. Dawson talks him down and gets the boy. But just in time, Halstead shoots the kidnapper who was about to hit Dawson.

This episode was shocking from the moment Burgess found the dead child. We saw Antonio going through some emotion with this case, thinking of his children. But he calmed down after calling his son and talking to him.

Meanwhile, Lindsay is back and agreeing on terms to live with Voight. But she has to separate ties with her mother, Bunny, who is just a pain in the neck. Erin tries to tell her, but Bunny takes it as if Voight is destroying her family. But it was at the end that was a checkmate when Bunny goes to another department and confesses to something that Voight has done. It's going to be a family showdown.

Overall, I give this episode 7.5/10. It was a good episode, both primary and other stories, from Al's meeting with his daughter again and Erin and Bunny.

Here's a promo for next week's episode.

You can catch Chicago PD on Wednesday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

Welcome Back Grumpy! iZombie "Grumpy Old Liv" Season Premiere

The new season of iZombie kicked off Tuesday night with a very grumpy Liv and the hunt for zombies is on from one familiar face.

After last season, Liv decided not to give blood to help her brother Evan after suffering from a bombing. Her mother doesn't want to see her in the same room with Evan and so does Evan as well. There's some tension between but for Liv it could be the best if she wants to keep her secret hidden.

The case that Liv and Clive working on is a murder by one's own car or should I say smashed underneath his own car. The usual suspects from neighbors to in-laws were asked. But one final clue help give it away, it's always the shoes or boats my friend. The neighbor across the street has been reciving death threats the from victim about his dog pooping in his yard. He thought that he killed him, s after having a few drinks he went to the victim's house and asked him.

Upset about it, he kicked the carjack and the car fell on the victim. But it was until he heard his dog in the basement of the victim's house that his dog wasn't really killed. After listening to the story I felt really bad for the suspect. I'm such a dog and cat lover that seeing or hearing about a pet gets me a but emotional.

Liv's ex seems to be dealing being a zombie, he's picked up for a job by Vaughn to go out there and kill the those that are zombies. Heck there's even a list as well. Seems like he's going to do it after Vaughn threatens Major with a recording from Liv and Ravi.

Not to mention that Liv's new roommate works for Vaughn and looks upon Liv after watching Zombie High. Also Blaine is back and seems to be tracking about the boat accident.

The show starts off really good. I've only had a chance to watch the first half of last season on Netflix. So by the end of this week I'll be all caught up.

Rose McIver is outstanding as Liv Moore. So is the cast. And after this episode, it gives some good points of where this season will go. I can't wait to see what this season will bring.

Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10

Here's a promo for next week's episode.

You can catch iZombie Tuesday nights at 9/8c on The CW.

A Halloween to Scream For: Scream Queens "Haunted House"

In a more twist and turn episode, the ending of this episode raised more questions than anything.

Grace and Pete search for the former sorority, Mandy, who was there when the murder happen. Also got some starling news not only what happen after the murder but something Grace was not prepared for...that she could be that child.

Mandy gave some interesting story of how Dean Munsch was the one who helped get rid of the body and cleaned up the mess. She told the girls that she's their gardening angle. Yeah, an angle that loves to wear black clothing. I'm going back and forth that maybe she's the killer, but she did state her case that how she could do such an act in last week's episode.

Meanwhile, Zayday decides to run for against Chanel Oberlin for President of their sorority. Not a liking the idea, Chanel and her team try to sabotage Zayday's plans by ruining her haunted house. That apparently has dead bodies from the cleaning lady, Sonya/Chnael #2, the security guard and Mandy.

I will say that I did enjoyed this episode more the last week. One awkward but funny scene comes from when Kayday calls 911 and informs about the dead bodies in her haunted house. The cop thinks that there should be dead bodies and thought that this was just a prank call. To me it sounds like something from the film Scream or Scary Movie.

I did enjoy the clips of fans of Chanel on Instagram getting to receive package of Halloween stuff at their doorstep that's known as "Chanel-O-Ween." The chips look so real and probably got real reaction from fans.

As I said there seems to be more questions asked with little answers. The one thing that left the eye brows raising was who's live in that haunted house with all the broken dolls? We get to see a lady in a rocking chair in a black robe like that turned out to be Gigi. Could she be the killer or let alone the mother that was left for dead? Yes, I'm going to go there. It seems that this show can go anywhere at any moment.

Overall, I give this episode an 8/10.

You can catch Scream Queens Tuesday nights at 9/8c on FOX.
