One Night: Chicago PD "Night In Chicago"
It's the most powerful episode of the season so far that will have you shocked. Here's a recap!
While on an undercover job to take down drug boss, Gamble,. As Atwater gets close enough with Daryl, Gamble's relative and who works for him, he gives him a tip about a friend he knows to help with the lost drugs that the Intelligence took down earlier.
But as things were to go smooth, Atwater and Daryl get pulled over by two Chicago cops. Not only watching this, Voight tells the team to wait. But when the cops got word of a robbery and the suspects were two black males, they go their way to arrest Atwater and Daryl. Atwater tries to explain but when Daryl argues with the officer and gets shot in front of Atwater. Voight comes in and talks with the officers and offers to take the suspect to the station. As Atwater gets into the car, Burgess asked if he was okay and his response was no as it's just another night in Chicago.
Later, as Voight talks with Kelton about the situation, Kelton was pissed to learn that Atwater was arrested and that he couldn't tell the cops that he was CPD undercover. But if he would have done that their undercover would have been blown. Not only did this situation puts Atwater in a difficult position to choose a side that he thinks is best but also carry out the undercover to take down Gamble, for which he did.
As Atwater rewatches the tape from the officer's camera, Ruzek talks to him and tells him that he's got his back no matter what, even if he doesn't understand being black. Later on, he met with Ray Price, who was the man who helped Voight take down Gamble, to asked him to use dirt that he got on the officer that shot Daryl because it would be the start point for Price to run for Mayor.
After Atwater gave his version of the event, he goes after the officer that shot Daryl, even though he got away scot-free. But that doesn't mean they are going to be best of friends for that and instead, Atwater takes their beef outside the bar where Atwater kicks his ass and warns him.
"Night In Chicago" was a powerful and intense episode of Chicago PD, but it was LaRoyce Hawkins' best performance of the season so far since the early episode this season. It was, as usual, the classic style of Chicago PD but then took a turn that got to an intense seriousness but also made my skin crawl as well. As much as I'm okay with what Atwater decided to do, but it would have interesting to see where would his character have gone if he took Price's offer and told the investigation team about it.
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch Chicago PD Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.

Believe in Fate: The Blacklist "Alter Ego (No. 131)"
Can Red win both his case and one of his associates? Here's a recap!
With one of Red's associates in panic mode because of being in jail, they could vote him out of their business. But when that associate is found dead, Red gets Liz and the FBI to hunt down the person that did this or things would look bad on his end with his business.
As Liz and the task force took on the case, they discover that the associate's will gives all the money and businesses to his son, who he never had met before. Liz and Ressler interview him, along with his friends and girlfriend. But something wasn't right and saw that his girlfriend was lying on who she is after seeing getting married to another man.
They later got information that she, along with the so-called friends of the associate's son, are in fact working together as alter egos for people that need a plus one when they are not in a relationship. But the twist comes from the friends when they were the ones that falsified the associate's will for his son, that he never knew to get the money and business and later kill him to get the money. But Ressler and Liz get there in time to stop, with Liz having some badass elevator fight.
Meanwhile, Red fights for his life in court once again. As he challenges the search and that the only reason why was because he pissed off the cop. Even challenging to listen to the 911 tape, but was denied by the judge as she got to listen to it. In the end, the judge agrees that the search was misused but adds that the gun would be admitted to evidence because of breaking his immunity agreement.
But in the end, Red learned that his associate wasn't murdered because of Red. But also that the associate's son gave his approval to keep Red in business. And after talking with Liz, he tells her that he'll find the person that turned him in and get revenge.
"Alter Ego" was one hell of an episode. From the case of the week that was very interesting to Red representing himself in court was one hour of television at it's best. And just when you thought Red was going to be set free, he's not and the trail continues because of carrying a gun position that was a volition of his agreement. But it left with one of the best scenes at the end when he tells Liz that he'll find out who made that 911 call and seek his revenge on them. It left a real chilling moment.
Not to mention Dembe given Red that he needs to have faith when it comes to good things. Yeah, the associate's death wasn't anything to do with Red but fate was cut short at the end in court. And Ressler's wedding date problem was not only funny but really good for character development. For a second I thought that he was going to ask Liz to go because there was a moment with the way they looked at each other.
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch The Blacklist Fridays at 9/8c on NBC.

Secrets, Truth and Lies: Chicago Med "Ghosts in the Attic"
After a week off, Chicago Med brings in another powerful episode that would leave us stunned. Here's a recap!
Ethan deals with a patient that no other nurse would want to help treat. When he confronts April about the situation, he learns that the patient is a child molester and assaulted one of the nurses, who had him as a piano teacher. Ethan understands but wants a nurse to help treat him, but none would but after the patient goes into cardiac arrest, he dies and Ethan thinks that April or one of the nurses might have given him too much medicine. It draws both Ethan and April into deep tension til Ethan learns that the patient had a tumor that had killed him.
Conner and Ava worked together to treat a patient, who comes in with broken ribs and is in need to place metal plates but is also HIV. After the first half was a success, working on the other half was a task when as they start to begin Ava cuts her finger. Goodwin ordered Ava to head to the Infectious Diseases Control and start taking meds. Conner, who feels bad, visits her with a forgive me present. But it was when Conner returns to Med that someone mentions that it's weird how that happened with Ava because she's so careful, which makes him think about it. Was it an accident or on purpose?
Natalie not only deals with Will's car being broken in but a patient who she assumed was playing with his wife about his cancer illness. It turned out that her patient wasn't playing, but knows that his illness is getting worst. But when it comes to Will, who was kind of on the edge with his car being broken in by someone. Learns the truth that Will didn't turn in the gun that he said he would do. After that, she's done and returns the ring.
Maggie, who hasn't had a strong storyline so far, not only dealing with Med down a nurse but deals with someone who asked for her help. Thinking that it might not be serious, turns out to be very sick when Will exams her and are in need of a kidney transplant.
"Ghosts in the Attic" was a marvelous episode! It was such intense and dramatic at times, that it had me on the edge of my seat almost throughout the episode. Strong character development and writing. I don't want to give up on #Manstead but I know that Will has been such an idiot that I wish that Jay or someone would just slap the reality back into him. He had one chance and blew it! I still have a little bit of hope they would get back together and I know some don't. Conner and Ava have been such an up and down with the did she or didn't she with his father. But now it's anyone's ball game whether if she played him with what had happened in that OR room. Anyone think that everyone needs to have a sitdown with Dr. Charles to talk this out? And Maggie's storyline was probably one of the best as the character hasn't had her own story in a while. I think next week's episode will have her go the distance to save the patient. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch Chicago Med Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

L.A's Finest Gets a Premiere Date
On Thursday, we learn when L.A.'s Finest will be hitting the streets this spring. The Cable provider Spectrum has announced that the Bad Boys spinoff will launch ad-free on Monday, May 13 via Spectrum On Demand. It will contain 13 episodes and it will begin with the first three installments and air new episodes on a weekly.
"The one-hour series follows Syd Burnett (Gabrielle Union), last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, who has seemingly left her complicated past behind to become an LAPD detective. Paired with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba), a working mom with an equally complex history, Syd is forced to confront how her unapologetic lifestyle may be masking a greater personal secret. Taking on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles while skirting the rules, and speed limits, Syd and Nancy become a force to be reckoned with- on the streets, and in each other's lives."
The cast rounding out on the show is Zach Gifford (Friday Night Lights) as Ben Walker, Duane Martin (The New Edition Story) as Ben Baines, Ryan McPartlin (Chuck) as Patrick McKenna, Sophie Reynolds (Garner's Guide to Pretty Much Everything) as Isabel "Izzy" McKenna, and Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters, Law & Order) as Joseph Vaughn.
Union and Alba serve as executive producers the series, along with Bad Boys franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Additional EP's include Jonathan Littman (CSI), Kristie Anne Reed (Lucifer), Brandon Margolis (The Blacklist), Brandon Sonnier (The Blacklist), Pam Veasey (CSI: NY), Doug Belgrad (Peter Rabbit), Jeff Gaspin (To Tell The Truth), Jeff Morrone (Atomic Blonde) and Anton Cropper (Suits), who also directed the pilot episode.
L.A.’s Finest marks the first original series for Spectrum. Additional upcoming projects include the anthology series Manhunt (previously on Discovery Channel) and street-racing drama Curfew.
Here's the trailer:
I've been looking forward to this show since news of the show being developed. I would have hoped that it would be on NBC and I think it would have fitted somewhere if not the spring season, but could be the summer blockbuster of a show. From the look of this trailer, I was blown away and it's got that bit of Bad Boys tick to it. I may not know what Spectrum is or where the hell it's at on the station, but I'm gonna try my best to see this series.

Blast from the Past: Chicago PD "Outrage"
When a blast from the past comes back to Jay, did he do the un-ultimate thing? Here's a recap!
As an undercover gig goes a bust when Jay Halstead meets a blast from the past of a former suspect that kidnapped a girl, who they never have found. Not to mention that the guy has recently been released from jail and won some money from the city due to the fact that someone used abusive power.
With Voight and Intelligence team ordered to stand down, Jay makes a heavy case to investigate that guy for selling drugs. But as the drop was about to go down with Burgess and Ruzek pretending to be partners in the dealing, Jay's guy was not there to make the deal and was told where he was at; a warehouse. As Jay gets there, alone, he sees their suspect down in a pool of blood. Jay tries to help him and also get him to tell where he buried that girl, but instead laughed and died.
Halstead being questioned not only by Voight and his partner but also the investigating detective about what happened in that time when he went in that warehouse alone Jay stands his ground and fights back. Voight and the team found the real person of interest and things were back to normal with Halstead in a way. That is til Jay and Upton had drinks and got that look with one another that something could be there still and she leaves to be with Ruzek.
"Outrage" was a good episode. It was another intense episode for Jay Halstead and another that really puts the character is dangerous territory when it comes to a blast from the past. Good writing, good performances from the cast and Jesse Lee Soffer is amazing too. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.
You can catch Chicago PD as they return tonight at 10/9c on NBC.

Something to Remember Me By: Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Four Movements"
It's not only one of the funniest episodes, but it's also one of the most emotional episodes. Grab the tissues!
As Gina announced her two week's notice in the utmost Gina-way and tells everyone in the squad room that she'll be spending some time with one another to give them Gina moment. From playing Chess with Capt. Holt to given Amy and Rosa the girls afternoon lunch that really got me started shedding tears. But it was Gina and Jake that had one of the best Gina-Moment moment when Jake tries to give Gina time with Mario Lopez. Later Gina gets Lopez to come to her party but only to get kicked out. Bring Lopez wasn't for her, it was for Jake.
But as days went on, Gina kept coming back and everyone, including Terry, thought that she's afraid to move on. But after many, many days of coming back to the 99, she left a statue of herself with a video message to everyone that also gave the final moment to Terry.
"Four Movements" is that episode when it's special with a character who decides to leave but shares the best moments with each other characters in their own way. This is what that episode is all about and it's not only brought me to many laughs, but it really brought me to tears. Such a beautifully written episode and well performed from not only Chelsea Peretti but the entire cast as well. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch Brooklyn Nine-Nine Thursdays at 9/8c on NBC.
