Chose Your Path: Chicago Fire "You Choose"

Here's a recap of Chicago Fire episode "You Choose."

As Severide tries to move forward from his break up with Kidd; he spends his time not only at the firehouse but helping to restore someone's boat. He connects with his client's son; they bond so well that Severide understands what he's going through living with a wild father and not knowing your own mother. But the relationship gets toxic from the kid's father's perspective and threatens Severide; but instead, he leaves and went on to do his job.

It was later a call about a house fire happening at the same place where Severide was restoring the boat, but no one got hurt. The client gets mad and charges him for the fire. But Severide wasn't the one that caused it; he knew who it was but waited for him to show up. It was the kid. Severide told him that he has to choose what he wants to be: someone great or like his father.

While Severide was keeping himself busy; Kidd was too and decides to enter Tuesday into the dog competition. But the dog doesn't listen unless you tease him with peanut butter. By the for Tuesday to perform, it failed and everyone ran out thinking that Tuesday was killing a girl, but really given her doggie kisses.

Brett gets double duty: one a day date with Kyle and house hunting for Casey. In the end, Casey calls off the house hunting as he's gonna stay with Severide a bit longer. While Kyle tells her that he loves her after she offered to take him to see Stephen King and get his favorite book signed.

Forster gets upset after a call when she found the bus driver, who had a seizure while driving, medicine list; tried to get someone to tell her doctor. Later on, both Foster and Brett get a warning from their boss and Forster still wouldn't stop, but she finally meets and tells him and even maybe got a date out of it too.

"You Choose" was a very good episode, maybe not one of the best; but it had some really strong moments that pull you in. Also, moments that were just too funny as well like Kidd taking over training Tuesday instead of Trudy's friend. And I know I've been saying this since episode two but there was a moment between Brett and Casey that seem like a little push between one another when looking at each other. I'm just saying. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

When Dr. Charles and Dr. Manning disagree on how to handle a patient who they discover is poisoning herself. Dr. Rhodes throws some serious accusations at Dr. Bekker. Dr. Halstead has suspicions about Natalie's new boyfriend and Dr. Choi tends to Bernie.

A Father's Love: Chicago Med "Never Let You Go"

What a father does for the love of his child and girlfriend puts the ED in a hostage situation. Here's a recap!

"Never Let You Go" is an hour full of on the edge of your seat, grab the tissues episode. When a pregnant teenager comes in about to give birth and give him up for adoption, the father shows up and gets kicked out by the father of the patient. It soon turns into a hostage situation when the baby's father comes back with a gun. While Natalie and Will try to help the pregnant patient, Conner not only tries to save the pregnant patient's father but his own as well. 

Soon the pregnant patient is about to give birth but is also suffering from a ruptured uterus; both Conner, Natalie, WIll and Maggie all help to deliver the baby but also save the mother. As soon as both the mother and baby are okay, the boyfriend wants to take them out of the ED, but Goodwin takes the baby and walks the boyfriend towards her so the sniper can shoot him. The boyfriend dies instantly in front of Conner and Goodwin. The mother decides to keep the baby after telling her father that she loves him. Conner's dad got the surgery thanks to Ava and Natalie talks to Will but learns that he and Agent Lee are an item.

I thought that this was literally one of the best action pack, thrilling episode of the season. It literally had me on the edge of my seat. Even though the cast gives a great performance, S. Epatha Merkerson gives her best performance in this episode as it really did focus on her character in the hostage situation, because she did try to help the boyfriend with the situation earlier in the episode. It was literally a powerful episode and I can't find any more words to describe it. Highly recommend watching this episode before this week's new episode. Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

Lies and Truths: Chicago Med "Tell Me the Truth"

It's just a day of the house of lies for the doctors and nurses at Chicago Med. Here's a recap!

Ethan and Natalie treated a patient who showed signs of pregnancy but learned she was trying to abort the pregnancy. Ethan wanted to tell the patient's parents, but Natalie didn't; after discussing with Goodwin, they had to inform the parents. Natalie and Ethan try to convince their patient to tell before things get dicey. She tells her mother and talks with Natalie and Ethan about the surgery and gets her parental signature, but tells them not to tell her husband as he's not her father. Yikes!

Conner was about to perform a top-billing surgery for someone who could make money for the hospital and press coverage. Ava comes in to assist, probably because of jealousy that she's doing the surgery. But when the surgery begins, Conner gets a call that Robin has been kidnapped and if he pays $50K for her life. He rushes out, telling Dr. Charles about Robin, and rushes to the bank as quickly as possible, but Charles and Ruzek get there to say it was a scam. Does anyone believe that Ava might have something to do with it?

Will and April deal with an FBI agent who got hurt from what they say was a car accident, but with the severity of the injuries, Will finds out from Agent Lee about the whole story. Will gets close to Lee as a friend to help her deal with what happened. Could this spark a new romance? I hope not! #MansteadForever!!!

Also, Charles tries to reunite his daughter and ex-wife together, even though she admits it was a broken marriage. Sharon is asked to make budget cuts that could leave the ED short-staffed. Ethan learns the truth about what April has been hiding throughout the episode; Emily and her baby Vincent return and stay at April's place.

"Tell Me the Truth" was an excellent episode. I thought the Conner storyline was what it was, even in the promo, that it would be a scam call. But it did give us some fantastic car-driven scenes that looked a bit like Fast and Furious. Natalie and Ethan's story was excellent; I enjoyed watching two doctors having different opinions but working together to cover each other when treating their patients—so charmingly character developing, from Ethan and even Will with his relationship with Agent Lee. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

"Good Memories" Chicago Med "The Space Between Us"

Love does set our emotions out of whack. Here's a recap!

In this episode of Chicago Med titled "The Space Between Us" was once again another hit episode so far of the season. That only said that there were somethings that I couldn't care at the time during this episode.

Natalie and Will work together to take care of a patient, who's been suffering from cystic fibrosis; and waiting on a pair of lungs. But things get dicey when Will has to put in a chest tube to help the kid breathe, that leads to the lung transplant to be denied for him. But the patient's girlfriend, who also is suffering from the same condition, gets the pair of lungs thanks to Will and his brave heart of emotions.

April and Choi are at a crossroads when a Med staff is run over by a car and is trapped. April tries to keep the pressure on the wound; while waiting for CFD to help left the car off of him so they could slide him out. But Choi, with his emotions out of whack; trying to keep April safe but she doesn't want t leave the patient alone. It turns into opposites of medical judgment between them and even though both got out safe, it could be a long recovery for the patient.

Ava and Conner are at it again; when not only treating the patient who ran over and landed on that staff guy. They have opposites of opinion on the cause and treatment, but the patient decides that he wants the tumor in his heart out with surgery. After trying to succeed but seem to fail, Conner gets word from Robin about a new way to help save his patient and it worked, but it also made Ava jealous too. 

One of the least favorite stories was Dr. Charles, who's trying to help take care of his ex-wife's treatment but she doesn't want any of it. So he takes it out on Curry's patient, who uses a tapeworm to help with her M.S.. Charles doesn't see the help of it and tries to keep her in the psych ward, but let her go after a talk with Goodwin.

I enjoyed watching this episode as it brought enough emotions and thrills to the table. Whether it's  April and the staff member would get out from under the car alive was pretty intense, or Natalie and Will treating two cystic fibrosis patients that really got to me and grabbing the tissues again. It also made me think of re-watching Titanic again. The Charles story was okay that didn't really take off for me; as well as the Conner and Ava with their patient and Robin helping. There were very good character developing as well as the performances too. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

Let Sleeping Dogs Lie for Now: Chicago Med "Old Flames, New Sparks"

Another great episode of Chicago Med that'll make you grab the tissues. Here's a recap!

"Old Flames, New Sparks" was yet again another powerful episode that'll make you grab the tissues. Choi and April treat a boy, who's been battling with leukemia, comes in what seems to be meningitis. But when they learn that the boy's younger brother will donate. It's because he was brought in the world to help his older brother fight cancer. But the younger brother doesn't want to go through with it again but decides to go through with it after learning that his older brother wants to stop all treatment.

Both Natalie and Will are in a different place right now; Natalie helping Philip with his daughter's colic that leads to dinner. Will takes on a case of woman, who was found frozen in Jay's neighborhood; that tried to take the pain away from her broken relationship. Will tries to reunite with Natalie but instead gets an apartment and also bumps into a familiar face, Agent Lee.

Meanwhile, Conner and Ava get into it when one favors doing a procedure on Dr. Charles' ex-wife so she could get into the drug trails for her cancer. Conner does the surgery; after it gets complicated, he figures out a way to save her and all is good.

Even after what April and Choi had gone through in this episode, they accept becoming friends. Choi later breaks off with Vicki.  Could this lead to a reconnect?

I very much enjoyed this episode; even though the Ava and Conner story was good but not at all to what some of the other stories were in this episode. The April and Choi story with their patient was literally the story that stole the episode and stole my heart. It was so powerful and emotional; that I had to grab plenty of tissues. We could be seeing the split break of Manstead in this episode and I don't want that to happen. Where will this be going, I hope Manstead comes back together. Strong character development and a well-written episode with an amazing performance from the cast. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
