This Is Us Season 4 Promo

Image result for this is us season 4

Looks like the season premiere of This Is Us will be a big one.

On Saturday, the hit NBC family drama released its first promo for their upcoming new season and it looks like it's gonna be an extended season premiere. Also, the promo gives us some clue about how someone could be a big part of their life and "how a single cross with one person you never met could change everything."

Here's the promo:

This promo has really gotten me excited. We see some familiar faces and some new one like Jennifer Morrison, which I'm dying to know who she's playing. She could play the role of Kevin's baby mama, anyone agrees?

You can catch the season premiere of This Is Us Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 9/8c on NBC.

FBI "Little Egypt" Season Premiere Preview

With less than a month till the season premiere of CBS's FBI, here's a preview of the season two premiere titled, "Little Egypt."

"Little Egypt"

In the season two premiere, after a bomb detonates at a restaurant in Queens, the case becomes personal for OA, who grew up eating there. But when initially seems like a terrorist attack reveals itself to be more complex, and OA goes undercover to prevent another incident. Alana De La Garza (Law & Order) joins the cast as new Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille.

The promo looks good so far. The premises reads pretty well. I can't wait to see what this season will bring and Alana De La Garza to the show. I just hope it could level up to last season.

You can catch the season premiere of FBI Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 9/8c on CBS.

FBI Season 1

It was one of the top new television shows of this past season; CBS's FBI is one of the best shows on the network, with good character development and compelling stories. Still, it only serves as a television drama snack of a show at the end of the day.

FBI is about an elite team from the New York City Federal Bureau of Investigation that tackles major cases to save this country.  The team consists of FBI agent Maggie Bell (played by Missy Peregrym), the widow of a Wall Street Journal investigative reporter who was murdered. She's as tough as she comes, and when it comes to putting personal feelings aside, she can get the job done. FBI Agent Omar Adom "O.A. Zidan (played by Zeeko Zaki) is not only Bell's partner but also an ex-army soldier.

Not to mention Jubal Valentine (played by Jeremy Sisto), who's not only the FBI assistant special agent in charge, but he's the master motivator and probably one of my favorite characters on the show. Plus, you got to love Ward, as the FBI supervisor, Dana Mosier.

The show's first season is a bit bumpy, but around episode eight is where they find their identity. The team tackles bombings, white supremacists, a corrupt witness protection program, and kidnappings; even Maggie gets closure for the death of her husband. But it's not a Dick Wolf series unless you have a spinoff in place. They have FBI: Most Wanted. You can catch the series when it premieres sometime in the midseason of 2020.

I very much enjoyed this series from the start to the end. It's got its moments with good writing and character development. While Peregrym and Zaki work great together, Sisto shines in this series, balancing out his wicked sense of humor and dramatic moments. I can't get enough of watching and listening to what he says to the team of employees as they hunt for their suspect. It just brings me back to his Law and Order day. Overall, It might not be the best drama on television, but it sure feeds the television palate once you watch and finish an episode.  I give this first season an 8/10.

You can catch FBI Tuesdays at 9/8c and the season premiere of Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 9/8c on CBS.

My Summer TV Viewing of Throwback Crime Drama to Saving the World For The Good of The Students.

Image result for watching tv

Summer is the time to take vacations, relax and either catch up on books, movies or even television shows that you've might have missed in the past year or so. Well, my summer didn't quite go the way that I had hoped it would and I have to blame that on the air conditioner unit for that and now I'm staying at my mother's house for the time being.

My plan this summer was to not only catch up on the shows that I've been behind on like Supergirl, Black Lightning and The Blacklist, just to name a few but to catch up on shows that were to come out this summer and a couple of throwbacks as well. Hell, I was going to hit Netflix hard this summer with their series and movies.

Let me just say that I've pretty much gotten to see new and old shows and slowly began to catch up on the others. Here' are some thoughts on the show that have been my summer viewing.

Stranger Things 3

Yes, it was always on my radar to watch it once the hit Netflix sci-fi drama gets released. And even though it took me four days to complete, it was the best four days that I have ever had this summer. The third season was literally the best and I loved the first two seasons. The storyline in each episode kept me on the edge of my rocking chair. There were OMG moments and there were tissue moments.  I believe that David Harbour will get some award recognition within the next year for this season. I really hope that Netflix gives the show a Season 4. 9.5/10.

Mr. Iglesias

It's probably one of the sleeper shows of the summer and one that I had doubts about when I first saw the first trailer. Seeing a comedian playing a high school teacher seemed to be a repeat of other shows like Mr. Robinson for example. That being said I freakin love this show and better yet it really has a strong message about teachers sticking up for their students. Not only does Gabriel Iglesias is hilarious, but the students in his character's class are amazing as well, especially Cree Cicchino. And the best part is that Netflix has renewed it the show for a second season. I highly recommend watching Mr. Iglesias. 9/10.

Silent Witness, Season One

You know sometimes accidentally finding series to watch might be the best thing to do during the summer. One day as I was looking for a mini-series at Barnes and Noble, for which they didn't have, I stumble upon the BBC drama and mysteries series lineups. As a few caught my eye, there's one that quickly got me to purchase, Silent Witness Season One.

The first season on DVD contains four 90 minute episodes of which I was very much thrilled. Even though I didn't watch them all at once but separate to give each episode breathing room. It almost feels like that I'm watching a Sunday Night Movie of the Week meets Murder, She Wrote.

Amanda Burton (for the first eight seasons) played forensic pathologist Dr. Sam Ryan, who helps solve cases with evidence that speaks out louder than just words. She can find the truth from calcified bones, decomposed and charred bodies to even the tales fingerprints. Burton plays the role so good, think of her the early versions of Jordan Cavanaugh from Crossing Jordan and Dr. Temperance Brennan from Bones.

The writing is so good and the character development was as good too. The only thing that I might have an issue is that the series is still on the air and just finished it's 22 season this year with season 23 to air sometime next year. If you like a good crime thrilling mystery this series might be the one for you. During the summer with no football and all the Sunday programs are all reruns, I highly recommend putting this on.

Well, that's pretty much what I've been watching this summer that would be considered new. It still doesn't help that the fact is that I'm still behind on other shows from 2018-2019, for which I'll get done before the fall season starts. Hope you have an awesome final week of summer.

A Not So Funny Valentine: Supergirl "Menagerie"

Image result for supergirl menagerie

Will Kara and Alex be the same after the previous episode? Will Nia come to Kara's side to fight for justice? Plus could this be the end of Lena and Jimmy? Here's a recap!

It's Valentine's day so it's pretty much appropriate for an alien to come crashing to Earth to kill humans and steal their hearts. That case leads to having both Alex, Kara, and J'onn working together as each of their cases has drowned to the creature Menagerie.  While it does lead to some Kara and Alex time; it's stressful for Kara.

Meanwhile, as Nia copes from the loss of her mother; Brainy tries to plan a valentine's date. After a talk with Kara; Nia decides to suit up and help Supergirl again Menagerie but even though they had a chance to stop and stun to the creature, the children of Liberty has raised with the son as the leader and sliced the alien's head off the human body. Think that was game over, think again!

During the Menagerie attacks, Haley goes to Lena for help on the President's behalf to stop the aliens. Soon after Jimmy comes with her Valentine's gift and quickly Lena tries to get them to go on a surprise trip, but soon she tells Jimmy about the contract with the President and her studies and even though Jimmy loves her, he just can't stand with her on her project. So the two broke up and Lena agrees to the contract with the government.

After all, was done, the President gets Ben Lockwood out of jail. But back in jail, Meragerine gets a letter from the Manchester Black which looks to be an invitation to join his team.

"Menagerie" was okay of an episode.  There were times when the episode had good moments and some bad ones that I just couldn't stay focus. The bad ones happen to be Lena and Jimmy; as it felt like the band-aid was ripping apart so slow. The villain in this episode was just okay. It really didn't have too much of character growth. The good would be watching Kara trying to find a way to bond with her sister, also I just can't get enough of J'onn and Kara as Private Investigators. And the Child of Liberty was good but I thought that story had run its course but I just they are adding something much more in this season. Overall, I give this episode a 7.5/10.

You can catch Supergirl Sundays at 8/7c on The CW.

A.P. Bio Renewed for Season 3; Set for NBCUniversal Streaming Service

Just when you thought school was out for real, think again! A.P. Bio has been brought back from the dead for renewal for season three, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

But that's not all, the third season will be showing on the upcoming NBCUniversal streaming service.

The series showrunner and creator Mike O'Brien said in a statement, "I'm so overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the fans. The cast and I are thrilled that we get to make more, and I'm excited to work with the NBCU Streaming platform."

A.P. Bio stars Glenn Howerton as the embittered college professor Jack Griffin, who was forced to teach high school biology after losing out on his dream job. Patton Oswalt co-stars as the school principal Ralph Durbin, with Lyric Lewis, Mary Sohn and Jean Villepique playing Jack's fellow teachers.

Season two's run this spring had an average of 1.9 million total viewers and just under 0.5 in the demo rating, which was a 30 percent drop from its freshman run. Ranking second to last in the demo beating out Abby's, which also got canceled.

The revived comedy has become the first original scripted comedy set to air on the NBCUniversal's streaming service, which is slated to launch next year with a library of hits like The Office and more, much, much more.

I'm pretty excited about the news. Just before the show was waiting on its fate, I really thought that they should not only renew it but adding it to their streaming service. And the best part of the renewal is we get to see more Paula Pell.
