Celebration!: Superstore "Quinceanera"

It's Emma's quinceanera and it doesn't go the way she or Amy had hoped. Here's a recap!

"Quinceanera" was such a family-fun, hilarious episode that really had moments of embarrassment for the characters; yet happy with the outcome. It's Emma's quinceanera and Amy and Adam hope to give her the best that she can have, but it doesn't turn out the way they had hoped. Jonah is overwhelmed by what to get Emma; really how to act because they haven't been close since Amy and he has been dating.

When the party is rolling and everyone from work is there; Jonah makes an embarrassment of riches when he walks into Emma's moment when he brings in the ice and spills. Next thing he gets roasted by Amy's relatives; but Jonah gets one redemption moment when Emma sit next to him and he learns that she's high, while the father-daughter dance begins and Jonah tries to protect her from being embarrassed. Even though Amy figured it out and thought that Jonah should have told her; she thought it was awesome.

Meanwhile, Garrett and Dina get into about how she's probably dressed inappropriately enough for this teenage boy that gets a crush on her. At first, Garrett shows the kid about what boobs look like, while Dina tries to make Garrett jealous by dancing with the kid. Also, Cheyenne and Mateo try to make Amy get emotional because they enjoy seeing her sow her emotions. Let's just say that it was successful at first but it got weird and wacky at the end.

I'd very much enjoyed this episode from beginning to the end; while the wacky stuff was minor storylines in this episode, the focus was really between Jonah, Amy, and Emma. Isabella Day's performance was very good as Emma and the scenes with Ben Feldman felt embarrassing at times but a triumph while they become close in their relationship. The episode had good character development and the writing was so good.  Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Pay and Suffer Life In Pieces "Misery Turd Name Pills"

Image result for life in pieces misery turd name pills

Thursday's episode of Life In Pieces was another half-hour of quality comedy. Here's a recap!

When Joan is still on bed rest, she gets bored and tries to get anyone to stay with her. But she should be careful who she earns, as Sophia comes to deliver her a sandwich and soon stays to talk and play games. Joan can't keep up and tries to stop playing with Sopha. It soon becomes a Misery situation for Joan until she gets Sophia out of the house to get more games. Joan tries to lock the door before Sopha comes. It is too late, and she might be playing Twister.

Matt and Colleen get the family to meet with Morgan, and the first impression isn't an instant home run with them. Her attitude towards the family is calling them name-calling, rude, interrupting,  and even calling Sophia the B-word. Matt tells Colleen he needs to do something, but she doesn't want him to do anything. But John confronts the family, who was hiding in the bathroom, to tell them that they need to be there for Matt and Colleen. They did and acted friendly towards Morgan as she was part of their family.

Greg finally got the only bassinet in town for their baby. Jen tells Greg the name she has in mind for their baby, Alex. Soon, Greg learns that Matt and Colleen are picking Alex for their baby, too. But when Greg tells Matt that he'll say to the family that he and Jen decided on the name, Matt rushes to the family to announce first, with the family excited. Jen, who's not too happy, gets Greg to fight for the name back, and when he does, he not only gets the title before but gives Matt and Colleen their bassinet and two stools

Heather might have found a way to start her own business. When a mom witnesses Heather giving Sophia a pill to calm her down, Heather explains that it's just candy and that the mother would buy a lot for her family. Soon, Heather and her family started an empire of candy pills called Fell Betters and went to Jen's house to sell to the moms there, which became a seller. But Jen stops Heather as she tells her and Tim that companies can sue them for what they control. Heather tells Jen another idea about combining glue and vitamins, but that falls flat, and she decides to get her realtor license.

"Misery Turd Name Pills" was a fantastic episode. The Misery story was so brilliant and well done. As Sophia confronts Joan about calling and taking the phone away, that started getting creepy. And when Sophia brought out the little mallet, that freaked me out even more. The Turd story was perfect, and the performance from Joey King was hilarious playing Morgan. The story had some beautiful moments, mainly when John confronts the family to act better in front of Matt, Colleen, and Morgan.

As for Jen and Greg, my favorite couple in the family, I had another funny story fighting for the name Alex with Matt and Colleen. I feel so bad that they couldn't win with the name Alex with the family at the end. And Heather's story brought me back to Breaking Bad as she and her family make and sell candy pills. There is good character development in Heather's character, and she could become a realtor down the road. Overall, I enjoyed this episode as it had good character development, hilarious moments, and even some moving moments. I give this episode an 8.5/10.

You can catch Life In Pieces on Thursdays at 9:30/8:30 on CBS.

"Mama Maggalione!" Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Ticking Clock"

Mama Maggalione!

The Nine-Nine precinct is hit with a computer hacker, they must find him before it's could be too late. Will they stop the hacker in real time? Here's a recap!

The episode starts off with Hitchcock and Scully heating up their lasagna at the time of a normal runtime of an episode. Soon, Jake and Rosa see that Holt is not himself; as Jake believes he's having a meltdown, which he is. Someone has hacked into the precinct's computer and gets the unit to look everywhere for the suspect.

As Seg. Knox (guest star Sean Astin) tries to stop the hacker, things start taking a turn for the worst as the holding cells were opened automatic; Rose dealing not only work but a personal matter with her relationship with Jocelyn. Even Amy, who rushes from the dentist tries to get there to help as she has a bad case of the FOMOW. As the team reunites and Knox locating the suspect, Jake finally learns that the suspect is no other than Knox. The reason because he feared that my might recognized him from a previous case.

As the team comes back to Holt, Holt has a gun at his back as Knox holds a standoff with Jake and the team. But soon the timer of the oven for Hitchcock and Scully's garlic bread was distracting enough for Jake to take down Knox and arrested him. Even though Rose missed the action she fixed her relationship with Jocelyn.

Even though the garlic bread was burnt at the end; Jake advised Hitchcock and Scully to eat the lasagna without the bread, which they did.

"Ticking Clock" was another hilarious episode. The episode was so well done; with strong character development with Rosa and Jocelyn. And the character of Knox that was so well played; performed by Sean Astin. The humor throughout this episode just hit the marks and the writing was solid. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Brooklyn Nine-Nine Thursdays at 9/8c on NBC.

Home, Reunion and Rage:: Supergirl "Blood Memory"

Image result for supergirl "Blood Memory"

It's probably one of the best episodes of the season so far! Here's a recap!

"Blood Memory" is and could be one of the best episodes of the season; let alone one to remember with it's a well-written story about Nia; the connection of her family and the Dreamer powers. The character of Nia was really the focus character in this episode; as Kara and Alex were second in the way this episode proceeds. Nicole Maines gives her best performance so far and I would really consider that she should get a nomination for awards.

Kata and Alex's relationship aren't what it use to be now with Alex not knowing that Kara is Supergirl and even doesn't know what Kara's favorite movie: The Wizard of Oz. There is a spilled conflict between the characters; I'm very interested to see how this will play out.

Meanwhile, the copycatted Supergirl has run into what seemed to be health problems. After trying to revive her with the shock paddles, some of the electric went around the world creating alien rage pills in town. Later at the end, the commander calls for assistance in the United States,  I wonder who?
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Supergirl Sundays at 8/7c on The CW.
