Hope: Supergirl "American Alien" Season Premiere
Well, we've been waiting since June for the season premiere of Supergirl. With everything going so well, there's a change that's coming and it's not in a good way.
We see that with Superman out, Kara has been pulling double duty not only rescuing people around the world like a train in Kazakhstan, but also working at Cat Co. On the one year anniversary of the Alien Amnesty Act, there's a movement that are attacking aliens.
Kara meets with Mercy and Otis Graves, who stole a hard drive from Dr. Vose office. They use high technology gadgets on her. But later she learns that the Graves, not only worked with Lex Luther, but are disturbing weapons to take out aliens living in the world. One of which tries to take out the bar, where J'onn was at.
Kara and Brainaic find that Mercy and Otis are going to take the summit at Camp David. Even thought they didn't take out the President, they literally lit the fire of showing video of the President as an alien. But Kara captures Otis, who's like Johnny Knoxville in a way.
But it wasn't til the end when we see Agent Liberty, who's taken out aliens, killing one of J'onn's friends.
In the meantime; J'onn has become a "life guide to a better life" guide, who's helping aliens trying to being around human beings. Alex and Braniaic are not on the same page but meets on the same ground later. James was cleared of all charges as Guardian, thanks to Lena, who got dirt from her mother on Bruno Mannheim.
Kara meets with her new protege, Nia Nal, who's like Kara when she began working at Cat Co. Nia opens up to Kara on what she wanted to cover fashion. But when she express her interest on it at the meeting, she loses it over someone else. Kara not only gives her a nice pep talk, but almost acted like Cat when she was telling Nia that times a wasting "tick tock."
But the episode ends where Kara saved the train in Kazakhstan, underneath where we see the other Kara look alike digging a tunnel. Who could this be? I wonder if that moment in the season finale split Kara's anger and happy personality.
"American Alien" was an amazing season opener episode. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Alex and Brainaic. It was just down right hilarious from telling her that the President of the United States will be coming in less a minute. It did give us a nice sister scene with Alex and Kara. I forget that too.
The cast puts on an astonishing performance. Nicole Maines really steals the episode and I hope to see her steal more because seeing her and Melissa is just amazing. I can just feel that after watching this episode that this season will be really amazing.
Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.
You can catch Supergirl Sundays at 8/7c on The CW.
All Alone: Blindspot "Hella Duplicitous" Season Premiere
Blindspot is back with some exciting new adventures this season!!
We jumped three months after the season three finale; Jane, Reade, Patterson, and the Dot Com traveled to Tokyo to find a missing decryption key. They plan to meet Akiko, who has it in a safe, but it goes sideways when she picks off Dot Com, and the battle begins. With Jane's excellent samurai skills to fight and Patterson's drinking skills to unlock the safe and get the key, they all escape with no one hurt.
But when they get home, they still have to worry about getting the four other keys and figuring out who's running Hank Crawford Global. Also, Patterson learns that Jane's zip poisoning has progressed further than expected and will kill her. When Jane, or Remi, knows about this, she runs out to get some air but also sees her dead brother talking to her. But there is a cure; is it worth it, though?
Remi finally meets Dolan, the last person working for her, Roman, and their mother. She comes up with a plan to get money to allow the FBI to unlock a tattoo. When they head over there, Remi finds the vault, takes what she can, and calls on Roman and the team to take the rest.
Meanwhile, Zapata is with Blake Crawford, trying to get her focus on taking over her father's company. But when things go so well, it doesn't, and everyone on the board, including Blake, gets poisoned by Madeline Burke. She talks to Zapata, and after getting her ideas of what to do with the dead bodies, she keeps her on her team.
Later on, Remi, who thought everything was going so well, doesn't as they go after Dolan. Reade and Remi are on the chase. Remi pushes Roman off the street, but he gets to him just in time to crash Dolan's car and kill him. Remi still plans to take out Weller and the FBI.
"Hella Duplicitous" was a fantastic season opener! The action-packed scenes were mind-blowing, from the sword fights to the car chases. I couldn't leave out Patterson and Dot Com moments that were so funny and made the episode lighter. The moments of Weller and Jane/Remi were mainly chilling now that Remi is back in the world. And with Zapata, I think she's gone under to help them take down HC Global.
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch Blindspot Fridays at 8/7c on NBC.
FYI: I want to tell all the Blindspotters that I highly recommend watching the show live, rewatching it on DVR, getting people talking about it on social media, and more. We were so lucky that the show got picked up for a fourth season, but with the numbers after the premiere, we should all do what we can to save the show and bring it to a fifth season. And when The Blacklist comes (in January), please do the same thing.
Family that's Together, Stays Together: Chicago Fire "Thirty Percent Sleight of Hand"
When Severide saves a father and son, can he save the family too? The heat is on Boden to make a decision for a new lieutenant. Here's a recap of Chicago Fire.
Tensions build on Boden as he has to make a decision to appoint a new lieutenant. Jerry gives him the perfect candidate Trey Jennings, who happens to be Jerry's brother in law. Whether he picks him or not, Boden makes his decision at the fire fighters fundraiser. When he makes the announcement, Boden appointed Chris Herrmann as the new Lieutenant.
I don't think that Jerry wasn't too pleased to hear and I don't think Trey is going to be crying spilled milk about it either.
Severide rescues a kid as him and his father crashed over a bridge. The accident seemed questionable when the wife/mother get to Med and thinks that her soon to be ex-husband is the one that did it. She gives some convincing points about how he would want to die and take his son along with him, but after hearing the husband's side of the story Severide decides to look into the accident again.
Looking around with Kidd, Severide looks around even a few feet away from the accident to find a dead deer. Kelly makes it back to the hospital and talks to the mother about how he found a dead deer that caused the accident, not her husband. The mother/wife seems to be very grateful and dropping the divorce.
This was an amazing episode from the beginning to the end. From the case of the week storyline for Severide to help a family before an ugly divorce gets even uglier to the intense moments of Boden's decision. Herrmann is the perfect choice for Lieutenant, and since he took the test a while ago its time for him to shine. There other moments, mainly when Truck 81 gets the call of a magic show gone wrong was hilarious!
Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.
You can catch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
Shocking Reaction: Chicago PD "Bad Boys"
WHAT THE HELL?!!!
Well, that was my first thought when seeing the first scene of "Bad Boys." Upton and Ruzek a couple? That really doesn't make sense but I guess we can give it a try. I guess it was just more than just beers.
Anyway, when the intelligence unit gets called when a teenage girl of a wealthy Chicagoan is kidnapped. The father is one of those pain in the ash that will give a cash reward on the whereabouts.
But a suspect's tip took them to a warehouse where the teenager is found. After she's at Med, she left pretty quickly, even the father wanted her back home. As they look for the suspect, they didn't know that the one they let go is involved with her .
They searched for the suspect's boss, but by the time they get there; their suspect already shot him and escapes. They use the teenager to show up, but it got into a complicated chase where it leads to children in the line of fire but Ruzek takes the shot of killing the suspect.
Voight arrested the teenager, for helping the suspect escape; but Brennan dropped the charges. She got a nice cash fund for her boss that's running for Mayor. But Voight got something out of it when he asked Brennan to get Al free from all charges so his wife and daughter could get the benefits, which was in a sense tears of joy.
I thought the episode was a real shocker for mainly Upton and Ruzek hooking up. I don't know how long this will go, but maybe Ruzek won't jump to concussion on asking for marriage. I always thought maybe Upton and Halstead would be the one hooking up. Even the emotional upset moment when she walks away would be the go to moment. But overall, I very much enjoyed the episode as it was a nice story that had a very nice twist.
Overall, I give this episode a 8.8/10.
You can catch Chicago PD Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
Gut Decisions: Chicago Med "Heavy Is The Head"
As Conner and Maggie put to the test of saving a patient while a med student is in questioned of her methods. Here's a recap of Chicago Med!
As Conner's hybrid OR is almost ready, a patient comes in with a bad heart and is need of repair. Conner can't get him up to the OR in time and decides to use his hybrid OR, which upsets Maggie. With the typical OR nurse can't find anything, Maggie steps in and helps Rhodes. In the end, Conner and Maggie saved the patient and he thinks that she would be great if she works with him in the OR. That might come different for Maggie.
Natalie and Curry treat a woman, who's in the early stage of pregnancy, is suffering pain. All signs point out to be an ectopic pregnancy, but the mother won't consent to the surgery thinking that god will help save this baby. Even Charles talks to her but sees that she's talking and thinking clearly about her decision. Curry doesn't like it and misinforms the mother about that there isn't a heart beat and had got the surgery. But Charlies learn that the equipment didn't malfunction and confronts Curry and tells her that he's gonna look thoroughly of her cases.
Ethan and April deal with a child, who's in need of a kidney transplant. But they learn that the father is red flagged as he kidnapped him and calls the cops. As he's arrested, his son gets worst and tries to look for a kidney. Seeing that the father is a match, Gwen orders the team not to do the transplant. But the father later shoots himself in the head and Choi had no other options but to do the transplant.
And when all things seem to go Halstead's way, after treating his father's old friend, he asked if he could rent out a place that he owns for the wedding reception. After agreeing to terms, he tells Natalie about the deal. As they are thrilled about it; it turns out when a visit from Jay turns things upside down. The guy is a mob boss, who's been under watch for a while now and ask Will to step away.
"Heavy is the Head" is not only a great song from the Zac Brown Band, it's also a really great episode. As much as Ethan and April's story in this episode was very powerful; it was very interesting to see Conner and Maggie work together. The Curry story was shocking and pushing Charles is something I would be afraid to see from now on. And I don't think Will will turn down the place. I don't see why not have a wedding at Molly's, right?
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

To Help and Bond: Fresh Off The Boat "The Hand that Sits on The Cradle"
Sometimes the best way to deal with disappointment is to help someone else.
With the free time that Jessica has now, she decides to help Honey and Marvin with their baby. She gives them by given them a zuo yue zi or "Sitting the Month." Jessica helps with everything while Honey and Marvin don't do anything but sit and relax, but didn't know it was going to be for a month.
Honey believes something is up. After Day 3, she learns why Jessica has been acting the way she has been. She learns that Jessica's books didn't do so well and comforts her with her southern tradition of drinking sangria.
With Jessica out of the house, Louis tries to bond with Even. From getting their hair done to chasing storms, it gets hard for Louis to fine something they have in common. That is until they can really criticize a movie like Twister.
Eddie and Emery get inspired to start lifting weights from watching "Pumping Iron." But the two never quite go through it and instead bonds with their dad in getting their hair done.
"The Hand that Sits The Cradle" was a hilarious episode and one that will be in my favorite list. The cast puts on a good performance, mainly Constance Wu, Chelsey Crips and Randall Park but Ray Wise does steal some moments.
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Party!!!!: Superstore "Baby Shower"
As Amy tries to find a way to get baby gifts, Dina gets her Christmas card photo ready.
"Baby Shower" had many hilarious moments that really made this episode solid good. When Amy tries to figure out a way to get free baby gifts, Jonah comes up with a baby shower. That might be a great idea, but when the co-workers get mad about being not invited, the baby shower is on.
It turned into more than just for Amy as Glenn and his wife invited someone too. From playing games to guessing what kind of expired baby food it was; but the top two moments came when Amy gets a stripper baby and Jonah wrapping Amy in toilet paper like a baby.
But the one person that misses out on the shower, Dina. After getting family photos taken with Glenn and his wife, she wants her Christmas card photos done too. But when Mateo sees, he gets involved with some amazing photo scene moments that really blew away.
Not to mention: Garrett figured out that Jonah and Amy are together. And while Mateo left Dina hanging during a photo shoot, Sandra came in and didn't even help her in a sneaky funny way.
I thought that this episode was hilarious. The writing and performance from the cast was strong. It's hard to choose which had the better moments whether it's Dina or Amy but they both had equal moments. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
You can catch Superstore Thursdays at 8/7c on NBC.
