Fresh Off the Boat "It's A Plastic Pumpkin, Louis Huang"

Image result for fresh off the boat

It's Halloween and Louis' favorite time of the year. With that in mind he's got plans for another family Halloween costume for when they give out candy but none not even Evan wants to do it.

It' Halloween and Louis got his family's costume for this year as it turns out to be Seinfeld. With Jessica passing on being Elaine and Eddie passing as Newman. That only left with Emery and Evan. Emery wanted to but didn't want to ruin it because of his bad year and Evan passed on it as well even if he was going to be George.

Louis figures out why Evan doesn't want be with him for Halloween and finds out that he is going to Deidre's Halloween party. Trying to talk Evan of not going, Louis thought he was going to be with him until Evan was at the party passing out non-alcoholic drinks. Louis drags Evan back and they do their passing out the candy as Jerry and George and did their bits, which was kind of cheesy at times but funny.

But when both understands each other, Louis walks Evan to the party and do their Seinfeld bit again.

Meanwhile, when Jessica is trying to get Chapter 2 done of her book, she gets writer's block. Emery comes in and asked about noises coming from Grandma's room. When they check on her, they hear some man's voice inside and decided to go in. They see no one but grandma.

Later there were people at the door that were to pick up Grandma. Jessica and Emery went to investigate and to get Jessica some twisted storyline ideas until they found out that Grandma was at English Language Studies.

I thought that this episode was pretty good. The Louis and Evan story was pretty good. Yeah, there might be some chessy jokes in there with Seinfeld. Jessica, Emery and Grandma was good too. Wish they would have used George Takei more than what they had him doing.. And watcing Eddie and the gang trying to get into a party by looking cool and bad was okay at times. Overall, I give this episode a 7/10.

You can catch Fresh Off the Boat Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.

Chicago Med Season 3 Promo

Image result for chicago med season 3

With today being #OneChicagoDay, it's safe to say that there's going to be a promo reviled for the new season of Chicago Med.

The thrid season of Television's best medical drama returns Tuesday, November 21 at 10/9c. And it looks like one of our beloved character might not make it through. If you recall the season finale ended with a shock when Dr Charles was shot by a paitent that has been coming in many, many times during the season.

Here's the promo:

Fathers, Daughters and Sons: Supergirl "Far From the Tree"

Related image

When J'onn gets a message from M'gann about Mars in trouble and asked for his help and gets a surprise he didn't expect. While the wedding is near, Alex convinces Maggie to invite her father to their party.

When J'onn accpets M'gann's plea for help, he and Supergirl fly to Marx, in an old fashion style ship, and get a shock of his life as his father is still alive. The planet Mars is dying and the only thing that can help save the planet is to get the spare that J'onn's father knows where it is.

He tries to talk to his father but he doesn't believe that it truly is him. With despreate times coming near, J'onn and Supergirl take him and try to convince him that he is his son: by going to their home and showing him a memory. As his father sees that J'onn is really J'onn, they hugged until the planet starts to suffer in like an earthquake.

To get the staff, Supergirl enters in the way of Bugs Bunny with Britney Spears song playing in J'onn's car. After that the J'onn, his father, M'gann and her crew along with Supergirl fought til Supergirl gets the staff and hands it to J'onn. J'onn hands the staff to M'gann's team but decided that J'onn and Supergirl should take it to keep it safe. And while they are at it, they also brought to Earth, J'onn's father as well.

Meanwile, one of the more deeper story in this episode happens to be Maggie and her father. During a dinner with Alex and her mother, Maggie opens up about her father to them. Alex thinks that maybe she should reach out to him. She did and from what it looked to be a smooth reunion until during the party, he left. Maggie reached out with why he just wants to walk away from this and then he opens up to her about how he had to work hard to get where he had to be and deal with people calling him insulting names.

After the two's heated conversation, Maggie sees her father just before he headed out. The two seemed to be on a good note at the end.

"Far From the Tree" might be one of those episodes that dealt with the same issue: fathers but in different point of views of both J'onn and Maggie. It had a nice balance of humor and drama that I really enjoyed and watching Maggie and her fathet story. I'd love watching Supergirl and J'onn working together. There was a ton of humor coming from them from getting into the car to even when Supergirl comes in with her best Bugs Bunny line that I really love. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Supergirl Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.

Holy Ships!! Stranger Things Season 2, "Chapter 5: Dig Dug"/"Chapter 6: The Spy"

Chapter 5: Dig Dug

There was so much going on in this episode that I almost did what Will did at the end of the episode was happen to be a jaw dropping moment.

Where to begin? Let's start with Dustin as he tries to figure out how to get Dart out of the house. He does it by leaving a trail of food for it that leads to the basement. It was working until it saw and sense Dustin and so he went for Plan B attack it and knock it in the basement. Oh by the way, he was wearing a pretty cool outfit that remembered be of The Mighty Ducks.

Lucas tries to fix his relationship with Max and after his father for advice, he tells her the truth about last year. She didn't believe him at first but with a very convincing look she seems to believe him. Trouble is that her so called brother saw her with him again and isn't too pleased. This guy really freaks me out.

Eleven finally goes to see her mother and tries to reconnect with her after seeing the lights in the house go off and on like what Will did in the Upside Down. Doing her bit once again, she saw what her mother went through to find her after she was born from a diffcult labor, Papa stealing her and making her mother think that she was dead, to seeing her getting a gun and finding her. And to even seeing how she got to be in the condition she is in now. And understands that the words she says all the time is what she remembers the most from certain time.

As Joyce and Mike help with Will, Will sees that Hooper is in trouble after he is in under ground with the vines and such. Even he got sprayed and coughed up stuff that I think that he might go through what Will has been going through. With time running out, Joyce gets Bob to help and after trying to get the brainy dude thinking they drove and found Hopper's car.

There Joyce and Bob go under and searching for Hopper. They finally come to him as he is tied down with vines around his neck and body. They cut it all off and with some creepy but cool scene shots, he's free. That is until the DOE dudes come in and get them out. As soon as they start burning off the vines, Will starts to have a seizure like moment and screams his head off like he's been burned.

This episode was so good. The performance from everyone was so good and the writing was as well. I didn't really think too much on the Nancy/Johnathan story as it just was a bit light out of the others in this episode. I'm think that maybe that Hopper is infected like Will is? He coughed up stuff after that mutant planet sprayed him with crap. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

Chapter 6: The Spy

HOLY SHIPS!!!!! Revenge is best served deadly I guess.

With the doctors and nurses searching of what is wrong with Will, saying that he is bruned without any burnmarks on him. That all first scene of the episode was so intense and even scary for me watching Schnapp's performance. As Owen's team of doctors perform test of Will, it turns out that he has a vrius and Will is the host, that helps connect to a human and not only see what the creatures are doing but also be known as what Mike calls Will "The Spy."

Thinking that Will is helping Owen and the team. A team goes down and searches to burned down the rest of the place until Dart and gang comes along, after trying to attack Dustin, Lucas, Max and Steve at the junkyard, and attacks the team that's underground where Hopper was trapped. Not only does these creatures killed but are moving towards the DOE by the end of the episode.

Meanwhile, Dusitn and Steve try to get Dart to come to them after seeing that it had escaped Dustin's basement. Lucas and Max catches up and meets them at the junkyard to prepare for Dart to come, but as it turns out Dart wasn't alone and turned into one hell of a montage to Tremors.

This episode was a real thrill. From the begnning to the end, I really was tied to my seat. With what was going on between Will and Dustin and the gang, I really did fine the Nancy and Johanhan story in this episode to be the calm before the thrills. You know sixe episodes in and I know I haven't said much about Paul Reiser's performance so far but I just have to say that he's amazing in this role. He can surely balance the comedy and drama as it does remind me of his performance in Aliens. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Season Two of Stranger Things available on Netflix now and Season One too along on Blu-ray and DVD.

Stranger Things Season 2 "Chapter 3: The Pollywog"/"Chapter 4 Will the Wise"

Chapter 3: The Pollywog

Dustin finds what was in his trash can at the end of last episode, while Eleven tries to disobey what Hopper has been telling her to do.

As soon as Dustin sees what was in his trash can, he takes it and brings it inside and kept it as another pet. I feel bad for the pet turtle and his mother's cat. What he brings in looks like some kind of pollywog that can eat anything, mostly candy as Dustin as given him.

He shows the creature to the guys and Max and tries t figure out what it is and names it Dart. But soon Will hears the same scream that he heard from the creature that in the upside down world and freaks out. The creature soon runs off and the guys chase after it but when Will sees it and starts getting another episode in the Upside Down World, but this times tries to stick up for himself the way Bob had advised him, but the creature puts its shadowy arms through his mouth and ears.

Meanwhile, Eleven really wants to get out of the cabin and see Mike but Hopper isn't going to let that happen. He kept promising her that he will but it keeps being put off more and more (something parents would do all the time). As soon as Hooper leaves, Eleven wonders out and gets spotted by a mother and her child and tells the cops. But she moves on and tries to see Mike until she sees him with another person and leaves.

I thought that "The Pollywog" was a very good episode. From the Hooper and Eleven story line to Dustin and the guys meeting and searching for Dart. I was in standing mode when Eleven and Mike were so close of seeing each other. I thought the writing of this episode was very good and the performance from Brown and Noah Schnapp was very good, some of their performances really stood out. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

Chapter 4: Will the Wise

As Joyce rushes to find Will, other issues are happening as they come in this episode.

As Joyce races to the school to find Will, she runs into Dustin, Lucas and Max and sees that Will is outside with Mike, in another trance of seeing the Upside Down and the creature. After he is awake, he is taken home and tells his mom as best he could what he sees and how he feels about it, but it really doesn't come out in words. The next day comes when Will doesn't feel good and shows a body temperature that's below any normal. He wouldn't take a warm bath saying that it was too hot and tells Joyce that he doesn't want to take a bath it get warm and walks out.

As Joyce tries to call Hopper many, many, many times. He finally comes and tend to what was going on. He asked Will about what he has seen and felt but he just couldn't tell him so instead does it in drawing and at first it may seem to look like scribbles but really it's a huge puzzle that needed to be put together and sees blue vines and Hooper thinks of one thing and heads out to the pumpkin patch. More later.

Dustin keeps Dart and leaves him home with more candy. Mike, Lucas and Max tries to find Dart around the school but still couldn't find it. Mike tells only Lucas and Dustin about the creature and how it connects to Will's episodes in the Upside Down. Mike goes over to see how Will is doing and asked Joyce about the creature he's seen.

While Mike handles that, Lucas catches up with Max and tries to get her to come along to find Dart. But she doesn't want to after what Mike had told her that she's not a member. And the two break off as she heads to her so called brother's car (who by the way is a real pain in the ass if I may say).

Nancy and Johnathan heads to meet with Barb's parents to tell them what really happen and gets caught with the DOE people and is brought to have a meeting with Owen. Thinking that they're plan didn't go through, it really did as Nancy recorded the conversation with Owen while inside the DOE building. WOW!

The one story in this episode that really got me was that of Eleven and Hopper. As soon as she comes back to the cabin, Hopper goes strict mean dad mode and tries to tell her that he's trying to protect her. But she thinks that he's lying to her and causes a big mess in the cabin. Hooper takes everything away from Eggos (NO!!) to even Television (NO!!!!!) but he couldn't left the television set because of her powers and just pulls the plug. After a night of cleaning parts up Hopper tells her that if she cleans the cabin that he'll repair the TV.

While cleaning up the cabin she spots a hidden door that has boxes full of stuff and sees Hawkins Lab. She sees and looks through the files and comes to what is her file with her name and her parents. She does her ninja power with the radio and sees her mother but she goes away after hearing her call Eleven by hear name, Jane.

The episode ended pretty creepy that at one time I had to look away because there's one scene that I knew that was coming. When Dustin comes home, he rushes to his room and sees that the tank that Dart was in has been broken and leaves a shed of skin. He turns and hears growing near the closet door and sees blood on the floor and walks towards it to see that Dart has grown and eating the cat. But Dart is shown as an early stage look to what the creature in Season One looked like with it's mouth opening like a planet.

And let's not to mention that as soon as Hooper figured out the blue vines, he heads out to the pumpkin patch farm and digs til he spots something gross and blue. Also he goes into a tunnel that happens to look like what Will was seeing.

"Will the Wise" was such a good episode that had some really good moments from the gross of Dart eating the cat to the sad moment of Eleven seeing her mother and not to mention that Hooper finding a tunnel of the Upside Down World. This episode has about everything to offer and then some. I enjoyed everyone performance. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

The Best Treat of All: Stranger Things "Chapter 1: MADMAX"/"Chapter 2: Trick or Treak, Freak"

"Chapter 1: MADMAX"

The season premiere of Stranger Things starts with a new top video gamer in town, new nightmares, and even a few days of shocking moments.

"MADMAX" was an excellent first episode of the new season that sets the tone for what's to come. Not only are there new characters for the folks of Hawkins, Indiana, but there's a new video game leader for Mike and the gang to deal with.

The episode starts with a robbery a year after the events of season one. A group escapes in a van, and while being chased by cops, one of the members in the van gets the cops to stop as he thinks he sees the bridge collapse, but it is all just in his mind the member that did it has a tattoo with the number 008.

Things in Hawkins, Indiana, seem to be well, back to where we were in the first season. Hopper is doing what he does best when he comes to work first thing, trying to ignore anyone who comes to see him, but this time, he deals with a freelance journalist who's investigating Barb's disappearance. Things do set when Hooper gets calls about someone's pumpkins being ruined by another pumpkin farmer.

Joyce is concerned about Will after he gets another vision/dream of the underworld, where he sees a storm cloud that scares him. Will was taken to see Owens, an executive of the DOE who's in charge of the place, who does tests and asks questions Will about these visions and thinks it's just PTSD.

With all of these new characters and such, you wonder where Eleven is. That is answered at the end of the question with a jaw-dropping moment. As Hooper drives in the woods and walks to a cabin, you think that it might be his new home and that he may be living with his girlfriend. But it wasn't, and it turned out to be Eleven with curly hair who walks in and eats dinner with Hooper.

"MADMAX" was a good episode that set a perfect tone, as I said initially. With the return of these characters we've loved and enjoyed so much, the one that I was glad to see was Eleven back and alive. Yes, I did want to watch Mike, Dustin, Will, and Lucas rushing to the arcade. I loved the music playing for the scenes and the new character, Mad Max, coming in. I did enjoy the Joyce and Hooper scene as I think that these two might be better together than Joyce and Bob. The writing for this episode was excellent. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

"Chapter 2: Trick or Treat Freak"

It's Halloween, and the gang is ready for trick or treating, but when Max comes in, it doesn't play well for one of the members.

It's Halloween, and Mike and the boys are set with their costumes, dressing up as Ghostbusters. But when they get to school, they notice that no one else is also dressed up. Dustin and Lucas ask Max to join them for trick or treating, leaving them with no answer, but that turns out to be a yes when she scares them with her costume. And that didn't sit well with Mike.

Will is still having visions of the underworld and seeing a giant creator. He's drawn it, and Joyce sees it and still gets worried about it. He has another encounter vision with the creator during trick or treating, and it is triggered when other kids call him "Zombie Boy," but Mike comes and takes him back to his place, and they talk about what he had seen.

The one story out of all this was Eleven and how she managed to return, thinking she was gone. After taking down the creator in the season one finale, she's in the underworld and tries to find Mike without seeing him. She comes to the same opening that goes back to the real world. She comes through and tries returning to Mike's house, but the FBI and cops are there. The FBI tells Mike that he needs to tell them where Eleven is, and he sees her through the window, and she quickly runs off. She uses her survival skills to hunt, protect herself, and wear proper clothing.

Back and forth with the present and past, Eleven wants to trick or treat and tells Hooper that no one will see her with her ghost costume. But he wouldn't agree to it and compromise by getting off from work early and bringing a lot of candy, but that doesn't work out well when Hooper gets pulled into investigating more of the mystery of the dead pumpkins and trees that have that goop from the underworld.

There's one moment where Eleven is upset and brings the TV into her room, and as she flips through channels, she decides to telepath her way to see Mike. When she does, for a minute,e Mike hears Eleven with excitement but then walks away with doubt that it's her even though she's right there, leaving her in heartbreak.

The episode ends with a surprise when Dustin gets home and, for the second time, hears a noise near his home. He sees the trash can moving and walks up to it and opens with a surprise that you'll have to see the third episode.

"Trick or Treat Freak" was an excellent episode, mainly for Eleven than the rest of the characters. I thought that it was Millie Bobby Brown's best performance with character growth and showed such emotion. The Johnathan and Nancy story was not the best, but it was enjoyable. Sean Austin in the last couple of episodes is good and brings the humor but makes that boyfriend awkwardness. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch the second season of Stranger Things available now on Netflix, along with Season One.

Stranger Things Season 1

When I first heard and read (mostly read) about the Netflix series, I was interested mostly because of Winona Ryder was the star of the series. I'm a huge fan of her from movies like Girl, Interrupted, Beetlejuice and Edward Sessorhands to name a few.

But when I first watched the first four episodes last year I was amazed of what I was watching. And after watching those four episodes, I stopped watching it because when it comes to binge watching, I would start with a couple of episodes and stop and I won't get to watching the rest for a while.

But that is then and with only a couple of minutes til season two of the series, I had finally watched the complete series after buying the retro VHS case Blu-ray/DVD.

I was amazed once again and when I contuined watching I was hooked with these characters. The writing was so amazing and the references of the 80's pop culture just made me want to get things from that decade from the music to well getting back to eating eggo waffles. The series had so much montoge to classic 80's movies from ET and Alien and let's not forget The Goonies.

Ryder was amazing and had such great moments. But the real show stealers were the kids, mostly Millie Bobby Brown who played Eleven. Even Fin Wolfhard as Mike, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin and Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas were amazing as well. Even David Harbour's performance of Jim Hopper was so good.

I can't wait for season two to start for which by the time this is posted it would already be time to watch the second season.

Overall, I give the first season of Stranger Things a 9.5/10.

You can catch the first two seasons of Stanger Things on Netflix now.

The Blacklist "Ilyas Surkov (No. 54)"

This week's episode of The Blacklist gave a twist that not only comes in the middle but the end when someone makes a call.

When a bombing happens, Red informs Liz about an Intel of the event that is by an international terrorist group. When they search for a suspect that has ties with the head of the terrorist group, they get bumped by another team from the CIA.

They split the interviewing process for one another until when Ressler gets a call from Cooper that this CIA team is not at all any part of the U.S. Government, which turns into a shoot out til they capture one of the members who thought that they were actually working with the CIA.

After the interview, the left behind agent checks out with her story but shows Liz and the team of their headquarters that turns out to be abandoned. The suspect they are after turns out to be part of the CIA but got blacklisted and disappeared. He's set to take out someone who's about to blow up a Navy Ship but was stopped by Liz but turns out the suspect was right when he says the solider walking in was carrying a bomb.

Meanwhile, Nick was found dead from what shows to be a bombing and kind of blames Red for it, even though Red didn't know about it. Later in the episode, Liz, Tom and Red were at the funeral.

Red gets into the dog grooming business and gets someone, who happens to have the cuttiest bulldog in the world, to search for someone that worked with Kaplan. He gets the person's belonging that includes a cell phone and when he makes a call to a number that happens to been called and recieved many times, he hears Tom answering the phone.

"Ilyas Surkov" was a very good and entertaining episode. With the very intense twist at the end when Red calls and gets Tom on the other line, the one momnet or few happens to be the bulldog. That bulldog, Coco, was the cutiest thing that I've ever seen and she didn't have to do a whole lot. I just wanted to take her home after Red drives away. Anyway, the writing of the episode was very good and Spader was a good as ever once again. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch The Blacklsit Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

The Blacklist "The Endling (No. 44)"

"Isn't there anything in the universe more powerful than a mother's love for her child?"

I really don't think there is and what this eposode of The Blacklist has shown that a mother's love can stand anything even for her dying child.

Red sees that someone has been killing anyone who is part of The Endling, meaning the last of in the world. What this person is trying to do is more personal than anything could ever be. When Liz and the team are searching they try to protect Princess Sonya that's in the town.

As they try to get to the Princess, things take a turn and the suspect escapes with the Princess' daughter. Asking the Princess about what would someone want with their daughter, turns out that the daughter has a rare blood that's known around as The Golden Blood.

They search for the anymore rare blood disorders and found one that's in the DC Hospital. As Ressler and Samar get there, the child that they were going to protect is gone. And soon findout who the suspect is, Nirah Ahmad, who happens to be the child's mother.

Liz gets Red for help and knowns who the doctor that's helping Ahmad and sees an old friend that fixed his left butt from a wild bore long ago. As soon as Red and Liz get there, Red talks to Ahmad with probably one of the most heartwarming messages probably of the week and gets her to leave the donors. They take her and the child to another location where Liz gets Nick to help, even though he doesn't want to but does.

The mother not only tries to save her child but gives her own life to save his as she shot herself in the head to give her heart to her child.

Meanwhile, Tom is getting worried that Pete might be pulling somethng after getting access into files thanks to Tom stealing Liz's ID number. Nick, who was done with Liz, Red and Tom, check on Pete and gets killed in Pete's apartment. The suitcase is gone and that Pete has gone rouge.

Red gets into a new style of B&B thanks to the mailman, who gets a list of homes of owners that leave for a vacation of so. A very good buiness indead I think.

"The Endling" is a very good episode with a very easy conecpt of a mother who tries to save her child from death and gives her own life to save his. Even though I probably have seen many of these kinds of stories before, it still shows an impact for me as a viewer. I thought Red's speech to Ahmad was really good and really stood out from other moments in the episode. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

You can catch The Blacklist Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

The Blacklist "Miss Rebecca Thrall (No. 76)"

When there's a spree of killer cops, Liz and the team investigates it and finds it shocking, while Red deals with his own issues and makes a deal that would make him killing two birds with one stone.

When Red sees that a good cop has been in the news for killing a man for violating his parole, he gets Liz and the team to investigate. There both Liz and Ressler interview the cop who shot the suspect and the cop's partner and figures out that the cop was lying about how many shots he took at the suspect.

They come to a conclusion of the lawyer that help with the cops' situation, happens to be the mastermind of getting them to kill those that needed to be killed and in return get a payment of whatever they need for their life or family situation.

Meanwhile, Red gets a couple of visitors that left him a message to see their boss, who happens to want Red's payment on guns that he promised to give but hasn't. So Red goes to the man that has a ton of money, Glenn.

Soon, Red meets with a business man who has gun products and buys him off, but comes to that they'll have to meet at his private airstrip, for which Smokey and his friend helps to make in time. But to make they each promise, Red gives the guy Tom to hold on to til they exchange.

As the airstrip gets done, the exchange happens and soon cops show up. Tom gets pissed at Red but turns out that it was all Red's idea to get the guns, return Glenn's money and keep the guy's airplane as his new place for him and Dembe to stay, while the other guys go off to jail.

"Miss. Rebbecca Thrall" was a pretty good episode. It was another good, fun and entertaining episode. As much as I do enjoy watching Red and Liz, I do have to say that watching Tom trying to get these bones looked at has really intriguing. It really don't have to be a whole lot to show. Spader was amazing as usual in this episode and so was even Diego Klattenhoff as his character has really gotten in trouble and is living on the dark side of his good man code. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch The Blacklist Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

No Kids, Karaoke On!! Fresh Off The Boat "Kids"

Image result for fresh off the boat

With Jessica and Louis sees that Eddie might be grown up to get them out of "kid jail," they live like it was no tomorrow (in their own way). Plus Eddie and Alison have a hard time telling Evan the truth about them breaking up.

Just when Jessica and Louis thought that when Eddie was making his "suicide soda" and taking it to the living that he might make a huge mess, but they thought wrong. As they see for themselves, Eddie made no mess and used a coaster. With them thinking that Eddie has grown up, Jessica and Louis decides to bring back their first couch that they got in 1982 and soon after that they decide to go out and live like there was no tomorrow: having dinner and Karaoke with Honey and Marvin.

But that idea wen south when Honey and Marvin tells them that they were planning to have a baby. With shock, Jessica and Louis decides to get them to think that having a baby was a bad idea and pushed Marvin to stop the reverse vasectomy. But on their second night of dinner and karaoke, Honey and Marvin were Karafighting with songs like "All That She Wants" and "RESPECT."

But after Marvin tells Honey how Jessica and Louis showed him what parents with kids look like, Jessica and Louis apologies and tells Marvin and Honey that they should have a child as it's their choice not Jessica and Louis.

Meanwhile, after their break up last week, Alison still comes over to Eddie's house to hang with Evan. Eddie and Alison agrees to tell Evan that they shouldn't be hanging out anymore, but it really turns into two parents trying to confront him before telling him the news, which he didn't take too lightly and ruined the white couch as payback.

Also, Emery and Grandma Jenny try to use his bad luck for good and to get back at her enermies from distorying old gifts that she's gotten to winning over an enemy at a retirement home game night.

"Kids" was a very good and hilarious episode. The Louis and Jessica story was hilarious as usual. Randall Park and Constance Wu really stole the episode with a lot of scenes from confronting Eddie about him growing up, talking about how they can do things without kids and even the karaoke scenes as well. The Eddie, Alison and Evan story was good at times along with Emery and Jenny too. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Fresh Off the Boat Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on aBC.

A Lot on the Mind: Supergirl "Trigger"

SPG302_SG_0136348b

This week's episode of Supergirl had a lot on Kara's minds.

With a new villain in National City,  Kara meets Psi, who happens to have a psychic powers that uses their fears against them, gives a run for Kara when she gets pulled into her tricks.

Kara's mind is played when she first expereince darkness. The second time she meets with Psi, she relives the final moments of her time in Krypton. The thrid time you could say that she suffered in the elavator but I would agree with Wynn that she was deaing  with real anxiety.

And the final time was her thinking that she sent Mon-El to his death in space but Alex comes in and helps Kara put her mind over matter and shows Psi how fear is a lie, she headbutts her.

While dealing with Psi, Kara also deals with Lena Luther as her new boss at Cat Co. and even Jimmy isn't to pleased about Lena coming in and taking over on the first day. Lena feeling excited and enthusiastic about her frist day, even trying to get Kara to do an interview but turns her down handling Psi.

It would be later on that the two would have another talk and even though Kara will admit that what she's going through is personal, Lena turned that friendship card to boss card and told her to set up that interview.

After dealing with Psi, Kara did apologizes to Lena for her actions and the two are back being not only boss and employee but best friends as well.

While this was going on, Samantha deal with balancing her new job and her daughter, who happen to tell kids at school about how her mother saved her by lefting up a heavy metal off her. Trying to convience that she's no superhero, she later runs off and gets herself into danger when Psi was on the move again. Samantha jumps to protect her daughter when a wrecking ball was about to fall on them and Supergirl saves them.

Later on Kara learns that Samantha is the new boss for L Crop for Lena while Lena's working at Cat Co.

"Trigger" was another good episode that had some really good moments, mostly scenes between Kara and Lean and even Supergirl and Psi. But the one moment of this episode that I will take away came early with Alex and Maggie arguing at t eh DOA about something that turns out to be which to have at their wedding: DJ or a Band. And even having J'onn given his part in it was the icing on the cake. The episode really plays to Kara's emotions state of missing Mon-El. I still think he's still alive and will be back. The Samanath storyline is really good as it give you enough to be satsifyied but yet leaving you wanting more. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

Supergirl "Girl of Steel" Season Premiere

Related image

The season premiere of Supergirl, Kara is grieving from the lost of Mon-El in the season finale and it's going to take a lot more than her friends and family to get her back to her regular self.

Kara seems to be focusing on her job more and not taking any autographs and photos with her fans that adore her. After she stopping a robbery during a car chase, Kara focus on searching for the suspect that got away from them, known as Bloodsport.

Alex tries to get Kara out of her grieving stages but nothing, not even pot stickers and game night with her friends and family is going to help. It does put a distraction on Alex and Maggie's wedding plans. After hearing from James that Kara quit her job at CatCo, Alex talks to her about it and it becomes one of a few moments in the episode that's overwhelming for the characters. When Kara says she doesn't know who Kara is anymore but she knows who Supergirl is and she can be that person but not Kara that sticks with you emotionally.

Meanwhile, James and Lena joins a city board meeting for Morgan Edge on his plans to improving the waterfront housing estates but the city has plans to honor Supergirl with a "Girl of Steel" and Edge isn't too please with it. But after both Lean and James have some "heart to heart" conversations about loyalty and such, Edge later announces he's buying CatCo.

And that doesn't end there, Edge hires Bloodsport to ruin the "Girl of Steel" celebration by lanching rockets underwater in a lead made submarine making Supergirl to use her hearing to locate where they are. As she goes after Bloodsport, she tries to stop another rocket that explodes in front of her and leaves her lifeless until she dreams of Mon-El waking her up and stops and picks up the submairne.

Edge's plan might have been stopped by Supergirl but someone else stops him as well. Lena stops him from buying out CatCo as she bought out the company herself. Edge gets mad but Supergirl comes in and takes the trash out and tells him that he has her attention and she'll be watching him.

At the end, Kara does get out of her grieving stages and gets back to her normal self by hanging out with Alex and friends. Not to mention that she comes back to CatCo after learning from Lena that she bought the company and not to mention that she did beg for her to come back as well.

Alex and Maggie comes to terms of their wedding and in one of the best scenes of the episode Alex asked J'onn to walk her down the aisle. The two got so emotional the Alex had to get both of them to wipe the tears off and says that if everyone say them crying the workers thinks they can cry.

But the ending of the episode leaves a nice cliffhanger for a character that we've been looking for, as a woman whom Alex saved during the waterfront attack, wakes up from a nightmare of a disturbing creature that could be Regin.

"Girl of Steel" was an amazing season premiere episode. It had such a dark tone but still kept what the show has always been with great scenes of humor and powerful emotional scenes from characters. The episode did such a great job keeping a strong character development and the performances from Benoist, Leigh and McGrath were really good and stood out. And not to mention the Leigh and Hardwood scene was a real scene stealer. I really enjoyed the introduction and development of Samantha Arias/Reign and I can't wait to see what comes next for the character and how she develops into the villain. Overall, I gives this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Supergirl Monday nights at 8/7c on The CW.

Fresh Off The Boat "Frist Day"

Image result for fresh off the boat

When Eddie sees that Alison is hanging around with the high school football team, he decides to join and go against Jessica's authority. Soon Jessica learns about Eddie joining the team and rushes to practice until she sees that he didn't make the team. Eddie tells Allsion about it and soon she decides that they need a fresh new start and breaks up. But his best friends came together to be with him after they heard of the break up.

Meanwhile, Louis is dealing with Kenny Roger taking over 50 precent of the restaruant and Roger's transition manager to give Louis the rundown of improvements. It becomes a bit too much when Kenny wants the stuff bear to go and Louis takes a stand and after making phone calls to the manager with comments, he told him face to face about it. And even though he didn't play attention and somewhat agreed and Louis celebrates that ackward victory.

"First Day" was pretty good episode this week that had some really good story lines mostly Eddie and Jessica and Louis and Kenny Roger's right hand man that realy stood out. The hilarous scenes were when Eddie comes in the kitchen with a "Booty" hat and Jessica didn't want him to wear it. Along with her not agreeing to sign for him to play football because she didn't want him to become the next O.J. Simpson and after she finds out he tried out for football. Even Louis and the manager was funny at times. I enjoy watching Louis go fighting for his resturant by calling and making comments to keep the place what it is. I really didn't think that the Emery story was okay but it didn't really stick out like the other two storylines.

OVerall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Fresh Off The Boat Tuesday nights at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.

Fresh Off The Boat "B as in Best Friend" Season Premiere

Image result for fresh off the boat

In the season premiere of Fresh Off the Boat, Jessica and Eddie test their friendships while Louis gets a surprise about his restaurant.

With the events from the season finale, the Huangs try to get their house back but the new renter didn't want to and so they were invited to move in with Honey and her family. Things get crazy for Honey and her family with the Huangs, like Louis taking all his time working on his hair and Eddie eating up all the cereal.

Jessica finally gets her chance to be on Wheel of Fortune and take Honey with her, but they had to go through some tough practice test to get ready. As Jessica and Honey were winning the game, Honey gives out hints and tries to throw off the game buy buying vowels. But at the end, they win not only the game but their friendship as well after they forgive one another.

Meanwhile, Eddie tries to reconnect with his best friends that he dumped, but they aren't taking him back anytime soon it looks like. Even talking about the season finale of ER when Ross and Carol kiss. But when Nicole ask him to go out with him, he thinks its a date, but really she wanted to tell him that she's gay.

Louis gets pushed aways from Michael Bolton at their restaurant and spends time with Emery by building a birdhouse, for which turned into a real creepy looking one at that. And while Evan isn't going to the school that he so wanted, he's preparing by reading all the recommend books that he was suppose to read. But when Honey offers him to read "The Babysitters Club," he starts reading them but also hiding it as well.

The big surprise comes when Louis sees that his restaurant has changed and it's owned by Kenny Rogers after Bolton sends a letter to Rogers about how much success his restaurant was and Rogers buys him out.

"B as in Best Friend" was hilarious at time, mostly with Jessica and Eddie's storylines. Even watching Par Sajak and Vanna White going at it was pretty funny. Even thought I did find Louis and Bolton scenes funny, the scenes with Louis and Emery wasn't as much but I do agree that "The Secret World of Alex Mack" is the greatest show on television. The writing was pretty good and the performances from Hudson Yang and Constance Wu was really good and stood out from the rest of the cast. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

You can catch Fresh Off The Boat Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.

This Is Us "A Manny-Splendored Thing"

This week's episode of This Is Us was not a disappointment episode.

"A Manny-Splendored Thing" such a good episode that it not only brought the laughter and tears but a lot of George Clooney and ER references as well (which I really like).

Kevin comes back to do a special episode of The Manny and Sophia tries to get him through the diffecult part of being back at the scene of the crime where he brust off the set last time. There were a lot of George Clooney ER references that I really enjoyed and watching how these from the past and present was just heartwarming and funny.

Randall is having a hard time dealing with the adpotion papers and the one thing he's worried about it that could they take care of a kid that has problems that they haven't dealt with. After a brief break, Beth talks to Kevin about the issue and learned that Randall was given pick up lines from Kevin when they first met and Beth tells Kevin that she thinks he's funny, even though she never thought so. But her and Randall settle their issues and moved forward to the adoption.

Kate and Toby is having Rebecca and Migual over before Kevin's taping and Kate is nervous to death of her coming over. We see the reason why Kate acts different to her mother and it shows when Kate catches her mom in the shower singing better than her and realizes that Rebecca has been over confident.

The performance from Kate singing "Landslide" and showing a montage of Jack boxing in the gym as he tries to quit his drinking problem and other scenes was amazing and overwhelming at times.

Not to mention the scene with Kate telling her mother after her performance what she truly feels about why she didn't want her at her performances. It was just a stiller scene from Metz and Moore.

And not to mention we Jack battling his drinking addiction and see why he's been drawn to drinking with the job he has. But we also see how he first attemps to stop drinking, by boxing his pain away and talking to Kate as she's his rock. But when the second time around, Jack tells Rebecca that he can't do it like he did last time and she takes him to am AA meeting.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode a lot. The perfomance between Metz, Moore, Milo and even Susan Kelechi Watson was flatout amazing. The writing was so good and powerful at times in some scenes that I laugh and cried at times. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch This Is Us Tuesday nights at 9/8c on NBC.

Code Word: Pumpkin! The Blacklist "Greyson Blaise" (No. 37)

The fun contuines this week on The Blacklist.

"Greyson Blaise" was just a fun and adventurious with a thrilling ending no doubt. The writing of this episode was so good with such memorable scenes and performances.

Red, Liz and the team pursue a billionaire, Greyson Blaise, who steals high price art and jewerly at night. In order to get to him, Red must meet and establish a partnership with one another. Red pulls Greyson in when he tells him that he has a famous painting that has been gone for nearly 30 years in his home in Itay.

But the catch is that Red doesn't have the painting or home in Itay so the team must rent a place and get the painting from who Red gave it too 30 years ago. But the painting was sold a while ago, so Red gets an old friend to recreate the paitning and delever it to the home.

You would think with the painting wouldn't get there that everything would fail into place, but it doesn't and when the painting shows up Red corrects Greyson that he doesn't have it but he does as in he is given the paitning to him. But here's where the catch comes in, Red calls the italian inspector and tells him that someone has taken his paitning and arrested Greyson.

While Greyson is arrested, Red and Liz head to Greyson's home and get his staff to check and throw away papers, hard drives and everything that Greyson owns. But Red and Liz leaves with a flashdrive, a penny and jewerly and brings them to Harold so they could arrest Greyson and bring him to the U.S.

Meantime, Tom searches for help on the bones in the suitcase. He goes to Nick for help to who the bones are and even though he didn't say yes at first at the end he does. Also he finds a man named Albert and when he gets his address, he sees him tied up in a chair bloodly beaten. Tom hears someone and hides in the closet and see Red and Dembe in the room. Red asked Albert about the suitcase but doesn't give a good answer and kills him. As soon as Red leaves, Tom ask Albert about the suitcase and meantions one name or word "Oleander."

At the end, we see Tom and Liz about to have dinner and Red comes in, who happens to be invited but has to go. Things get very intense between Tom and Red after Tom asked him about what has he been up to and left it at that.

This was such a good episode that as I said before was fun, adventurious and thrilling. There were a lot of memorable moments from Harold telling Liz about how to talk to Red (like a teenager), Dembe trying to get someone to talk by cooking him a meal, Liz's question about Red's outfit color it looks like pumpkin but it's Tuscan Sunset. Even the scene with Tom trying to get Albert's address was funny and mostly it was the dude who worked at the store. But the scene with Red and Liz going to Greyson home and telling the staff to do this and that was just hilarious. I could go on and on but I think I'll leave it there.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch The Blacklsit Wednesday nights at 8/7c on NBC.

Never Give Up on a Friend: Chicago PD "The Thing About Heroes"

This week's episode of Chicago PD was as solid of an episode as they could have been for the second episode of the season.

When a van parks in a no parking area of a festival in Chicago, it explodes. The FBI and the Intellgence Unit works together to find who is behind the bombing and where the next bomb is set to go off.

When the team knows who's behind it and what country they are from, Burgess thinks that her friend and an CPD officer would help because of his background. That would be nice until they find out that he has been gone without a trace since the bombing and that doesn't look good for him at all.

The CPD points the blame to the officer and Burgess is the only person who believes that he didn't do it. And proves she did when she found out a place he was renting and keeping a notebook full of notes and photos like he was actually undercover being a part of a terrorist group. Sadly the officer was stresssed from not only the media that the CPD laid on him but the bullying as well he was suffering from his partner and captain, he takes his life and shoots himself in the head in front of Burgess.

But that notebook helped stop the second bombing in the end. But not it didn't end for Burgess who told the officer's parents how a hero he was. But it was confronting the officer's partner that really was a scene to see as she told the guy what she thinks and that his daddy won't be around to have his back. It did cause some riffs in the CPD that Hank had to tell her to let it be.

Hank did confront Woods about the CPD should give full honors to the officer but Woods doesn't think so at all. The two had a nice chat and Woods is amazed how Hank has been dealing with all of this and he tells him that it takes time to make a move and I'm sure we will be waiting when that happens.

"The Thing About Heroes" was really a good episode and mostly from the performance from Marina Squerciati that really stood out through the episode. The writing was so good and at times simple to follow but the twist that the officer was working undercover was a wow moment. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Chicago PD Wednesday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

Chicago PD "Reform" Season Premiere

The season premiere of Chicago PD was not your typical season premiere that we have seen in the past four seasons, but it does make a stamp that a new chapter for the series has begun.

The episode opened up to a very well-respected look back at Erin Lindsay's time on the show from the beginning to the end of last season. With only the two men in her life, Hank and Jay, it was at times emotional, no matter how many times you would watch it.

The episode begins with Hank talking about how the absence of Erin will be a mess, and it will not be the same. I feel that he was not only talking to her about it but to us, the audience, as well, and just trying to get through some of those thoughts is just so confronting.

When Hank gets a call about a gun exchange going down, the team assembles and tries to take them down, but it doesn't go as they had hoped. But when Halstead was chasing the suspects, he heard someone screaming and went in to find Upton with a girl who got shot.

They take the girl to Med only to get a small hope for her to recover, but it turns out she didn't, and the worst part is that the bullet came from Halstead's gun. With that, not only the media and the community but also Alderman Ray Price (Wendell Pierce ) is pushing hard to get Halstead fired, and even the new reform package set for the CPD isn't helping at all, either.

Hank and the team searched for the one suspect who could help clear Halstead from this, and the only clue to allow them to find him was to see if the suspect had a wound on his stomach. It took a while for the team to find him, and some very uncomfortable scenes, including Ruzek and Atwater trying to ask two kids a couple of questions.

The team gets help from a former squad member, Antiono Dawson, and does undercover work. He soon gets the suspect, turns him in, and gets Halstead out of the hateful media that Price has done. And even though Halstead was clear, he still apologized to the mother and gave her her daughter's necklace.

Meanwhile, Burgess is back, and she's got a new man in her life. Ezek found out the hard way as he was trying to not only buy her another beer but ask her out again.

Antiono is officially back with CPD after being at the State's Attorney's office got boring. Yeah, we could say that.

As I said at the beginning, this episode seemed like the beginning of a new chapter for the series. Erin is gone, and things are changing for the intelligence unit, just as Hank told Jay that she's gone and we need to move on.

I very much enjoyed this episode a lot. Not only the performances from Beghe and Stoffer were terrific, but also Mykelti Williamson and Wendell Pierce as well. The writing was so good as well. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Chicago PD on Wednesday nights at 10/9c on NBC.
