Test of Truth: The Good Place "Chapter 25: The Burrito"

As Eleanor and the gang get through the dimension to meet the judge, will they be able to go to The Good Place or back to The Bad Place?

As Eleanor and the gang get through the dimension without Michael and Janet, they'll have to confront the judge on their own. They meet with the judge, Jan, who after listening to them and going through their files that she rules them to go back to The Bad Place.

But after listening to Eleanor argument, Jan decides to give them a test and if they pass the would go. But Eleanor wants her to grade them together, not separated. The test shows how their strength of will power, decision making and just to step back. All of which, Jason, Chidi and Tahani failed but Eleanor passed but decides to stick with her nerdy friends.

As they were dealing with the judge, Michael deals with Shaun and faces severe punishment, along with Janet that is back in her marble state. But just as Michael was about to be placed in a room full of The New Yorker Magazines  (the madness!), Bad Janet turns out to be Good Janet and kicks Shaun's butt and gets Michael out and headed to meet with Eleanor and gang before Jan sends them back.

"The Burrito" was another half hour of pure comedy as this series comes closes out another great season. The performances from the cast was amazing. Jameela Jamil's performance really stood out the most during Jan's test of having Tahani just walk pass the doors of compliments but decides to go in on with her parents and face them about how they love her sister more than her. Also Shaun has been given some witting scenes the last couple of episodes that I really couldn't stop laughing. And Maya Rudolph was amazing as Jan, the Judge. The story of this episode was solid. I don't know what to expect but I'm going to guess that in the season finale (yes there's a Third season!) that expect the unexpected.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

"He's just a kid" Chicago Med "Lemons and Lemonade"

When things get tough, you have to make the best out of the situations.

Talking about having another bad week for Dr. Choi as he takes on a patient that is extremely anorexic, who happens to count her calorie intake, when she's found's outside the hospital. Choi asked Dr. Charles for help and negotiates calories of when she can leave the ER. But when her parents come, she finally took things to the extreme as she was prepared for this moment and denies the treatment and have her lawyer stand for her wishes.

It's Dr. Reese's first day back working under Charlies and takes on a Jane Doe patient that talks out of her mind in a thousand miles per second. But when she comes up with the diagnosis for her patient, Charlies doesn't think that Reese did what he asked her to do. After examining her again, Charles comes up with the final diagnosis that Jane Doe's got Wilson's Diseases, due to being around cooper pots at her culinary classes. Reese talks to Charlies and that maybe it was too soon, but she still needs help on how to handle patients.

Natalie and April treat a patient, who's showing signs of an infection that they couldn't diagnosis until they figured out it's a super bug. But this medical story ends with a twist and heartache as they learn that the patient gotten the infection from his girlfriend, as she's a carrier of the bug. Soon, the girlfriend leaves but gives a note to April and Natalie to make sure her boyfriend gets it as it's a goodbye letter.

Rhodes is living the good life with his new car and possibly a new relationship (let's not jump ahead to that situation).When Rhodes helps a patient from Halstead, who happens to learn after surgery that she's got cancer in her leg and the hospital and medicaid won't pay anymore for her addition treatment. So just as she's about to be sent to County (I'm still hoping it's County General), Rhodes comes through and pays for her treatment.

After some good Rhodstead bromance going on, Manstead was alive in well as we finally get to see Natalie's son Owen. When Halstead and Owen play with blocks, Owen gives Halstead something to think about: that he might not like him after throwing a block in his eye. So when Will reads about how to get along with a child, he learns. But he may be thinking too hard on this when he brings a child size truck for him to have. But after he throws another block in his other eye, Natalie tells him that Owen is 2 and doesn't know an better.

"Lemons and Lemonade" was a good episode that showed our heroes in action and trying to make the best out a horrible situation. Rhodes help a patient out to Choi not liking to lose a patient from an illness to even Reese, who may not be ready but is progressing well. The performances from the cast was well performed, I did think the kid playing Owen stole the episode just a bit with his moments with Halstead. I do think that Rhodes will continue on his grieving of the break up with Robyn. Just how far will it go? Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

The Moment: This Is Us "That'll Be The Day"

Just like the promo for the episode that this is the day that they'll remember and boy did we get the tip of it at the end.

Let's start with the present day with Beth and Randell as they are starting they're first day as apartment owners, where William lived. Randell with full excitement, jumps into full Mr. Fix mode when other tenants were complaining of their issues. Beth leaves it with Randall and even Kevin, who comes in to find something to do and make amends with Randell and Beth.

Who needs The Property Brothers, when you got The Pearson Brothers at work. Kevin takes care of the door and wall while Randall fixes the toilets and such but finds out that the apartment has bugs and gets everyone out to another place to live. Kevin and Randall do talk about the day 20 years ago about their dad.

Meanwhile, Kate surprises Toby in the bedroom, thinking that he was looking at porn, but it really was photos of dogs. Kate, who has some emotional issues with dogs, tries to find a dog for Toby and meets with Audio. Just as she's about to adopt him, she has second thoughts. Playing with my emotions because I'm an animal lover,  but at the end Kate brings Audio home to Toby and it was like TV magic come to life.

Let's jump to the past, 20 years ago as it's Super Bowl Sunday and Jack is excited for what's probably the final Pearson's Family Super Bowl party. But things don't go well to his plan when Kevin is just mad at not able to go do what he was hoping to do and leaves to be with Sophie, who got accepted at NYU. Kate gets a letter from a University saying that she's one of the final candidates and wants to see or hear an original song from her. But when Jack video tapes her while singing she has a fit and express to him that she's not what he sees as his little girl. And Randall and his new girlfriend got out and watch Titanic.

Jack tries to keep busy by fixing a new TV set for the Super Bowl party and trying to find a house that could use some redoing to get his business started. Rebecca find a place for him to do just that and tells him that they are expecting a call back from them. After Randall gets back, Jack sees him and tells him that he and his girlfriend kissed.

As Jack cleans the dishes, and puts stuff away and even shut off the crock-pot. This is the same crock-pot that they got from a neighbor couple, that started out in the episode cleaning their garage, 18 years ago as a gift and was warned about the switch needs to be fiddled with because it doesn't always shut off. Well, that same crock-pot Jack turned off happen to turn on and started the fire leaving us with a firing kitchen, no batteries in the smoke detector and an emotional cliffhanger.

"That'll be the Day' was a fine and emotional episode at times, mostly between Katie and Audio and the final scene of the episode. The writing was so good from the beginning and grew to even better and better with moments of humor and sadness. The character development was so good with these characters. The scene with Kevin and Randall walking down the hall to do their job was just hilarious and making the Property Brothers look like kids. The performances from each of the cast members were amazing, Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Risky Girl's Trip: Supergirl "Fort Rozz"

Talk about a risky girls' trip that ended with a surprising sacrifice.

To get information about Reign, Supergirl has to meet with someone who happens to be in Fort Rozz, the prison ship that Supergirl and J'onn got rid of. But Kara couldn't go in by herself because where the boat is located, there is no sun. So that leads her to bring Saturn, Girl, Psi and Livewire along for the journey.

The trip at first was a bumpy one for all, but after Psi accidentally used her power on Saturn Girl, Kara puts the straps back on. But the Rozz was soon getting pulled into the star; Saturn tries to get a connection to the DEO, while Kara and Livewire look for Jindah Kol Rozz and get a couple of words from her til Reign is there and kills Rozz.

Soon, Livewire fights Reign and gives her a jolt of electricity, but when she is down and Reign is about to attack Kara, Leslie sacrifices and takes the shot from Reign. But Psi makes it there and gives Reign something to consider: fear. And that let her show her emotions and run away. But leaving Kara to attend with Leslie, who dies from the laser shot from Reign, Kara and Leslie have an unfortunate and emotional moment.

Meanwhile, with Alex still with a broken leg, she babysits Ruby for Samantha while she's on a business trip she never went. As they had some fun, Alex helped Ruby with a cyberbullying problem that had her confront the bully and made her almost crap her pants. But while she was assisting Ruby, Ruby was helping her deal with Maggie after texting her about her passport. But after a lovely time babysitting, she sees that Samantha isn't herself as Sam tells her that she doesn't remember going on the business trip.

"Fort Rozz" was a good and sad episode, as, yes, Livewire died. Livewire was one of my favorite villains in the Supergirl series. I didn't think this would be her endgame, but maybe she will come back (with fingers crossed because the Superhero series seems to have that soap opera coming back to life). Samantha's true self emerges in Reign when Psi gives her a mindset of fear of losing Ruby.

Rozz tells Kara that there are more World Killers like Reign living on Earth, and at the end of the episode, we see one of them as she survives a car accident when the car smashes her between another vehicle—a true sign of things to come and building very well.

I enjoyed this episode a lot. The writing was well done and given a sad twist with Livewire. The performance from Benoist, Morgan, Amy Jackson, and Grobgias was excellent, and Jesse Rath and Jeremy Jordan stole some scenes with their way of handling hilarious things. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10

Black Lightning "The Resurgence" Series Premiere

After watching the pilot of The CW's latest DC Comic series Black Lightning, it left me jolting for more (no pun intended).

"The Resurgence" opens up the story of Jefferson Pierce, who's been retired from his duty as Black Lightning nine years ago after seeing the effects of what it had on his family, returns to being the vigilante again after seeing what the community has become with his daughter arrested for protesting, getting pulled over for a crime that he didn't commit due to racial tensions.

But the final straw that made him return was his daughters, Jennifer and Anissa, gets into trouble and kidnapped from Will, a member of the local gang called 100. Jefferson reunites with Gambi, his mentor and friend, and helps him become Black Lightning with a new suit. After rescuing them, couldn't find Will's boss Lala.

But Lala got picked up and brought to the head of the 100, Tobias Whale. Whale gives Lala instructions to kill Black Lightning.

The final scene of the episode ends with Anissa, who's suffering from the trauma that she'd witness, activates her own powers that causes her to break the sink in half. 

The episode really got me interesting in the show. I may not know a lot about Black Lightning but after watching the pilot, I'm interested in learning and seeing where the show takes the characters. The show got a lot of attitude and really depicts the real world social issues. Cress Williams is amazing in the pilot and not to mention just watching Marvin "Krondon" Jones III as Tobias Whale was pretty stunning. And James Remar as Peter Gambi, Jefferson's mentor and friend, gives a good performance and portrays the character like an Alfred type.  Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Timeless Season 2 Returns in March

Looks like the next time trip for Timeless will be this spring as Season 2 will premiere Sunday, March 11th at 10/9c on NBC announced on Monday.

Ending the freshman finale with a shocking revelation that Lucy's mom is Rittenhouse! Flynn's been arrested and something is happening to Jiya! The season two opener, titled :The War to End All Wars," will find Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus traveling to World War I as seen in a TVLine exclusive.

The season premiere will introduce a new recurring character: Nicholas Keynes (played by Michael Rady ("UnREAL's")), who is an American solider in WWI. After getting badly injured during battle, Keynes is carried to a farmhouse, where he is cared for by Emma (Annie Wersching) and Carol (Susanna Thompson), who want to save his life. Though he seems helpless at first, Keynes is much more formidable than he initially appears.

Also coming into Season 2, our time traveling heroes will explore the Salem Witch Trails and Hollywood circa the early 1940s.

The series, that was once cancelled and brought back, will follow a three hour American Ninja Warrior special: USA Vs. The World, which will air at 7/6c that night.

Wake Up!! Supergirl "Legion of Superheroes" Mid-season Premiere

After the fall finale ending, Reign makes her way in the city delivering justice with no mercy, can Kara wake up before things get out of hand?

We jump two days after the events of the fall finale to find Kara in a coma and yet in a subconscious dream of where she feels comfortable: her loft. She soon gets a visitor, Brainiac 5 to help guide Kara out of her dream, but when it turns out that she can't get out, she must find a way out.

Meanwhile, Reign makes her way in National City in a big way, calling everyone that she's only here to bring justice and show no mercy to those that do crime. With Mon El and his Legion team can't help, Alex and J'onn do what they have to do to stop her, even it is using a secret kryptonite weapon.

After failing, Mon-El and team step up and battle with Reign in the oldest fashion battle: playing with Bon Jovi in the background. As the battle presses on, Kara notice Brainaic 5 talking battle tactics while still in her dream and after he tells her what's going on, she finds the way out of accepting that Kara is loved over Supergirl and wakes up.

Soon, Kara comes in and battles with Reign again, but quickly stabs Reign in the neck with the kryptonite weapon and runs off. Reign then is healed at her own fortress, until she learns that she has a team and one person that could also help Conville. 

Kara comes with peace with Mon-El and thanks them for their help. Her and Alex talk about their thoughts on the events that just happened.

"Legion of Superheroes" was a good episode that had balance of humor and intense drama at times. Brainaic 5 brings in the comedic side to the story and I very much enjoyed watching him working along Kara of the others. J'onn's scene with Lena was another classic moment as he had to fill in for Kara while in a coma. As much as he hates it, we love it. The story was very good at times as it showed out hero trying to get out of her subconscious mind. All she needed was to realized that she's loved over Supergirl. The performance from the cast was amazing, mostly Jesse Rath as Brainaic 5 that really stole the episode.

Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.
