#OneChicago Chicago PD "Profiles"/ Chicago Fire "Hiding Not Seeking"

Not only is Chicago PD celebrating its 100th episode, but also, why not make it big with a two-night #OneChicago crossover with Chicago Fire as well? Go big or don't go at all, and they sure went big for this crossover.

Chicago PD: "Profiles"

When PD and Fire are about to watch Platt talk on a morning news program, a bomb goes off in the middle of the interview. Platt seems to be okay and tries to save one of the journalists who's badly hurt by moving her to another room til Severide comes in and takes them to Cruz to lead them outside.

The Intelligence Unit dives in with a lead of a journalist leaving the building after dropping off a package. When they meet Uhim, he gets blown up from aAbomb'smailbox. Another lead led to a suspect who knows about IEDs. He is brought in, not involuntarily, and is kept in their custody until he's clear, even though he's getting killed on social media.

The suspect hunt leads the unit to a Chicago newspaper that fired a journalist, Sheppard, for wake news that the victims wrote Describing the suspect's house; he wasn't there, but Voight walks into the rooms where he sees photos and plans for his next move.

Upton soon gets a lead where someone has a connection with their suspect, and he points Voight and Antonio to ask for help from Boden and House 51. Boden thinks they will need Severide, but they need Brett and Gabby, who happens to have a connection with George. But Boden says no and leaves with a cliffhanger for Chicago Fire.

Chicago Fire: "Hiding Not Seeking"

Picking up where CPD left off, Voight and Dawsontrys tell teBoden that Gabby and Brett will have to do their thing while they sneak in and upload the guy's computer. Boden gives the okay and tells Voight that he wants to be there when it happens, which he agrees.

Gabby and Brett make their way to George's house and tell the guy that they're doing a health reassessment for all heart condition patients, which gets him to agree to let them in. While they take his pulse and ask him questions, Ruzek sneaks in and uploads the guy's computer. But when George gets a visit from someone, Brett and Dawson get out in time along with Ruzek.

Both Ruzek, Dawson, and Brett get out safe. Soon after,r House 51 gets a call of an explosion, where Severide and Boden meet with the knight riding Halstead coming in on a motorcycle. Severide shows Halstead the piece that blew up and got Voight on call.

Later, Boden and Severide know where the suspect might be hitting his places. Their lead lends them to a house where they find Sheppard's supplies and bombs. They searched all over his place and computers, and as soon as a new message was intercepted by Burgess and Upton, the CPD and CFD headed to what they thought was the newspaper building, but the place was the translation station.

Casey and Severide's team get there and try to get everyone out safely and find Sheppard. Soon, they spot him, and along with Voght, Halstead, and Boden, they rush to Sheppard and stop him from killing the editor of the Chicago newspaper that fired him. 

Things went pretty smoothly; everyone celebrated at Molly's, and not to mention that Brett and Antonio got the spark again and made out in the car. Also, Kidd and her boyfriend ended their relationship as she didn't want to meet his sister. But I also couldn't stop talking about Severide as well.

This crossover event was fantastic and had everything you would want in a crossover. This was probably one of the best since "A Dark Day" and "8:30 PM," not to mention "Three Bells" and "A Little Devil Complex." I couldn't get enough of the Voight and Boden scenes, which you don't get to see a whole lot. Not to mention, Jay Halstead riding a motorcycle was awesome!!! The writing and the performance of the cast were terrific. It felt like a movie event, not to mention a bit of tribute to Chicago for the milestone episode for CPD. Overall, I give this crossover event a 9/10.

Admit and Be Amazed: Superstore "Amnesty"/"Target"

"Amnesty"

After everyone saw the videotape of Amy and Jonah kissing, the two tried to dispel all the rumors about them, but they worsened things. When they pretend to be in love with one another in front of their coworkers, they accidentally kiss. Kelly, who finds out, gets annoyed about it after it doesn't bother her, but to prove that he isn't in love with Amy, Jonah suggests that he move in with her.

Meanwhile, after Amy and Jonah's video, Glenn and Dina offer amnesty to all the employees to confess any that might have done bad things.  But they didn't expect the entire staff at Cloud 9 to come forward, leaving the store unattended. But it allows Garrett and Cheyenne to take advantage of the subject matter.

When Mateo hears of an offer, it worries him about his undocumented status, and he tries to get a hold of Jeff to see if he has told anyone. After trying to get a hold of him, Jeff shows up and tells Mateo that he has quit his job.

"Amnesty" was another hit episode with excellent writing and character development. From watching Dina and Glenn try to get their coworkers to talk, Mateo trying to get a hold of Jeff or Amy, and Jonah trying to play towards their coworker's jokes and games about their relationship, it was brilliant. The one scene in which I was amazed was when Jonah learned that Amy had a crush on him and didn't even know about it. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

"Target"

After announcing his leaving at Cloud 9, the staff throws a goodbye party for Jeff and learns he is leaving to be a manager at Target. Garret asks Glenn, who's mad about Jeff going to Target, for a raise but gets him to believe Jeff had poached him to come to Target. Glenn confronts Jeff, who has no clue, and the two battle it on who can be poached to join their stores. As Glenn and Garrett try to poach the employees from Target, they spot Cheyenne, who tells them that she works part-time at both stores. 

Meanwhile, Dina helps get Amy out on the dating scene on a double date. But when it wasn't working out, probably because he was 20-30 years older than her, she made friends with the Cloud 9 beverage delivery man, who was making a drop-off at the restaurant. Soon, they pretty much clicked when he came back to Cloud 9 and asked Amy out. 

Also, Kelly and Jonah discuss moving in together and trying to lay out their furniture arrangement at the store. Jeff admits to Mateo that he doesn't work at Target but doesn't want his former Cloud 9 co-workers to know he is unemployed. 

"Target" was excellent and hilarious. Take it what you will; even if they try to advertise for Target or not, it did get me to go to the store the next day. I loved the poaching story when  Glenn and Garrett go to Target and find that it's a much better store—even learning about Cheyenne working there. But also, Amy's date, I would say, got better when meeting with that Cloud 9 delivery man, and maybe they could heat things with Jonah, who sees the two at the store. The writing was good, and so was the performance of the cast. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Expect the Unexpected: Chicago Med "Best Laid Plans"

 

From start to finish, this week's episode of Chicago Med will leave you on the edge of your seat for the ride of your life. 

Whether it's the drama moments of Rhodes and Bekker fighting over who gets the donor's heart: a man receiving transplants for the third time or a family man who's up for his first one, meanwhile, Manning takes on a patient who is taken care by his mother and has a dirty trach tube, and learns that his mother has been trying to let him go. But when Manning tells Halstead about it, he overreacts and gets the police involved. That led to a heated argument between Natalie and Will that will leave #Manstead fans shaking. 

Charles learns from Reese that her dad asked her to be his cosigner on an apartment and help care for him. But when Charles meets with her dad again, he confronts him about his condition and that he'll let the transplant board know he's not fit for a new heart due to his mental disorder. The tables turned when Reese went after Charles for what she had said to her father, which was a lie. But it did give Reese to think, and she decided to say no to her father. 

The surprise moments come when April and Noah treat an older woman with back pain, upset stomach, etc. As things began to worsen with every treatment, it turned out that the 55-year-old woman was pregnant and gave birth to a girl. 

Choi treated a patient who was found in the waiting room and couldn't find anything wrong with her through all the tests. But when given an MRI, it showed a stroke that's from her broken jaw that she got repaired years ago. 

"Best Laid Plans" was one of the best-hour episodes of Chicago Med so far with the cases that the characters took and the push to the limits they are head into, not to mention surprises as well. From the beginning to the end, the episode never stopped being less attractive as it kept you on the edge of your seats. Besides the drama, there were moments like Choi bringing his sister to April's cousin's party, where they all would have a good time dancing the night away. 

The writing was excellent and well-developed, and the characters were as well. The performances from the cast were so good, where it's Donnell, Kuhling, Gehlfuss, DeVitto or DiPillo and Platt. I don't know where Rhodes and Bekker will go as they don't have anything to lose, but Manning and Halstead, with their first big argument, could lead down to something, even after last week's episode for Halstead. Reese's father would be the most problematic for me as the character creeps me out and makes me worry that something will go wrong with someone. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Childish Party: Kevin Can Wait "Delivery Guy"/"Forty Seven Candles"

"Delivery Guy"

When Kevin gets a surprise visit from a young man that he helped deliver back when he was a cop, it give him the idea of how much a hero. But when Vanessa learns that their client has left them for their rival, they use Kevin's story on television to help brand their company. But the idea fell apart as it wasn't much of a story for the TV hosts and the kid didn't go into all the detail like he did earlier in the episode. With the segment going wrong, Kevin's rival company comes in and gives their story of how they saved a young girl, who needed a kidney.

"Deliver Man" was an okay episode that just having you laughing a bit but as soon as the episode is over you'll forget what happened. It wasn't the best and it wasn't as good as the previous episode before this one. Overall, I give this episode a 5/10.

"Forty Seven Candles" 

When someone says "no surprise birthday party" even though they don't mean it, it means throw a party.

When it's Vanessa's birthday coming up and she tells Kevin and the gang that she doesn't want a surprise birthday party, to Kevin that means she wants one and tries to pull off a good one. But when Vanessa decides to have her own party, Kevin gets all of her friends to turn her down so they could be at his party.

When Vanessa's birthday arrived, Kevin's plan didn't go as well (even though it was his plan) to take her out to dinner but instead tells her about a party. There she is surprised of the many friends and family that came and just when you think it was over, it's not as Kevin becomes Prince and does a cool to creepy duet with Vanessa of Purple Rain.

"Forty Seven Candles" was 10 times as better as the previous episode and had so much fun and humor to it. The Vanessa and Kyle bar scene was a moment of maybe but maybe not as it looked like she was coming on to him. I couldn't get how freaked out I was seeing Kevin as Prince but also couldn't stop laughing at the same time. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

Dating with Food: Kevin Can Wait "Wingman"/"The Whole Enchilada"

"Wingman"

With Kyle bragging about using a new dating app, it sparks Vanessa and Kevin to use it as well to find their perfect match.

When Vanessa and Kevin learn of a new dating app "Be My Wingman" that Kyle has been using, and agree to help each other out finding someone that's perfect for one another. But at first they weren't into the app and tried being each other wingman at the bar, but that failed after meeting weird people. So they turn to Kyle for help using the app and soon they find someone for each other.

When Kevin and Vanessa double date with their perfect match, it goes well for Kevin but not well for Vanessa as Kevin chosen a guy that's quite like Kevin. When Vanessa tells Kevin that she doesn't like him, he tries to change his look and makes him look a lot better and gives Vanessa to go for a second chance date. But when things turn to be so good, both Vanessa and Kevin's dates leaves them and goes out with one another.

"Wingman" was a good average episode that had some funny moments. Even if they aren't trying to get Vanessa and Kevin to grow more in their relationship, they still put them in situations like this episode that makes you think that they could be the perfect match for one another. Overall, I give this episode a 7/10.

"The Whole Enchilada" 

Maybe the proof is in the food, unless Kevin can see it or not.

When it comes to reading signs, Kevin isn't the smartest in the department when his neighbor Wendy comes by with food, enchilada, that's one of the best. But when Wendy ask where this relationship is going, even though there wasn't, Kevin tries to explain but agrees to go out with her to the movies.

Kevin tells Vanessa about it and she thinks he needs to dump her but when tasting Wendy's enchilada, she agrees that Kevin is screwed. But when she helps him to dump Wendy and cook for him, it's not the same and Kevin goes through depression and tries to win Wendy back, for which he did.

"The Whole Enchilada" was a way better episode than the previous one that brings the classic elements to this show: Kevin, food and relationships. It may not be the smartest episode but it was sure the funniest with James, Spreitler, Remini and Florencia Lozano as Wendy. Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

A Night with Stars: Timeless "Hollywoodland"

With the moment that we all been waiting for comes with a twist at the end that maybe no one could see coming.

 With no Emma in this episode, the Time Team tracks the Mothership to the 1941 where Rittenhouse tries to steal the work-print of the movie Citizen Kane and trying to sell it to William Randolph Hearst (who's the film is based on). Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus bumps into Hedy Lamarr, who doesn't taken as a fool and figures out that they aren't really who they are, but helps the team search for the man, who's taken the secret films.

In the meantime, Jiya, gets examined for her condition that Agent Christopher has only found out and comes to the concussion that she's fine and even better that her heart murmur is fixed. Which kind of leads to Mason dealing with something new then what they had dealt in the past. Lucy and Christopher tries to get Flynn to help again, but if they want him to help he needs to get out before Rittenhouse kills him in prison. After given a tip, Christoper helps him with a breakout that Time Team sets up in his own prison cell 50 years later.

But with the hunt for the secret films, Wyatt and Lucy share the moment that we've all been waiting for as they kiss and slept together. The two seem to be the item now in the relationship, but a twist comes at the end of the episode that really would take the fans in shock as Wyatt escapes the compound to see someone at a local tavern, where he walks up to Jessica, his wife who's alive and well.

"Hollywoodland" was an action-less episode that still delivered a story that it worthy of watching that had a lot of fun, educational and dramatic moments. From learning of what Lamarr did for WiFi and to even what Citizen Kane as about (check that film out!). There were many memorable moments from Lucy singing in front of a crowd while looking at Wyatt to Lamarr and Rufus discussing her scientific ideas foe the future. I'd very much enjoyed this episode. The performances from the cast from Spencer, Lanter, Goran and even Claudia Doumit as Jiya.

Does anyone think that the kiss from Wyatt and Lucy might have changed history to make Jessica like she had never died? With Jiya's seizures not seem to be life threatening now, would that make it to help them in advice against Rittenhouse? And how crazy would it have been if Jurassic Park was made back in the 1940's?

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Driving and Finishing: Timeless "The Darlington 500"

Nothing like driving in the fast line back in the 1950's to get your blood pumping right?

This week's episode takes our #TimeTeam to Sept. 4, 1955 where the Mothership is Darlington, South Carolina, thanks to Flynn's tip-off about a Rittenhouse-affiliated address. That's where they make the discover that Rittenhouse is after a NASCAR race driver Ryan Millerson, who is to race at the Darlington 500.

But at the track, they realize that Millerson is one of the sleeper agents for Rittenhouse and just before getting into trouble again with Emma, black race car driver Wendell Scott saves them from being killed. The team finds a bomb in Millerson's car and learn that it's intended to murder the automotive executives that are attendance, so that Rittenhouse could take over the auto industry.

But when they get Wendell to sneak them back into the track to stop Rittenhouse, Wyatt kills Millerson, not before the bomb is armed and drives the car with cops on their tails back to Wendell's garage. With the cops passing by, Rufus defuses the bomb.

Meanwhile, back in the present, Mason makes a bold move of making a public appearance that's against Agent Christopher's orders. She comes in just before he goes on and makes a sense of his arrest and takes him back to the compound. Along with that Jiya as been seen visions of what the future may be looking as she saw Rufus's arm looking burned, but when he gets back from 1955 his arm was burned.  But Keynes reveals his vision to make a perfect humanity by cutting away the flaws.

"The Darlington 500" was an amazing storytelling episode of not only what NASCAR was back in the day but what it's like for a fan, like Wyatt. You really see Wyatt's character light up with excitement as a fan would when meeting their heroes. I couldn't get enough o Wendell Scott in this episode but also learning about him as well.  It still give that thrill and intense with the car chase, the surprises of Millerson being a sleeper agent and what's to come next that really give this show something to look forward. The writing was good and the performance was strong. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.
