Redemption: A.P. Bio "Dr. Whoopise"

As Jack tries to redeem himself after an accident that went viral. Also, will Helen and the teacher find out who the sugar daddy is? Here's a recap!

When Jack does a test tape for TedTalk at the school; he doesn't actually make a home run out of it; as he becomes a viral video hit when he falls off the stage with an injury of smashing butt. The next day comes and Jack tries to find a way to redeem himself; to be a hero instead of a joke. The students come up with a scenario of that of Baby Jessica and use Victor as Baby Jessica in a manhole. But when the plan goes sideways, Jack and the students try to find Victor.

As the students try to find Victor they somehow ran into what they call the "Rat King" and ran back out of the manhole. Jack finds Victor, who's been going through somethings and tells Jack that his parents are getting a divorce. As things patch things up, Jack and Victor get out of the manhole but as the ambulance and fire department come Jack falls back and lands on his back.

Helen and the teachers are on the lookout as the sugar daddy is back littering at the school of candy wrappers. The teachers didn't come close but Helen sure did as she spots Ralph dropping a candy wrapper and walking away. She confronts him and gets him to spill the beans and runs out to face the cops that turn out to be the ambulance and fire department who came for Jack's rescue.

Jack gets what is his redemption when Victor and Heather speak out on Jack's behalf with the TV reporter; becomes happy and replays the YouTube clip again and again.

"Dr. Whoopise" was a fine episode that had its good moments and some weird ones. The Jack story was good and the scenes with him and Victor were heartwarming and even funny at times. But the one that one me over was Helen finding out that Ralph was the sugar daddy; confronts him in one of the best scenes of the season so far. I didn't quite like the three teachers hunting down like it was somewhat of a wacky Law & Order spinoff even as they question Dale. Yikes. Overall, I give this episode a 7.5/10.

Gina is Back! Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Return of the King"

Gina returns and the B-Hives better watch out. Here's a recap!

In the "Return of the King," Gina returns and has become a popular motivational speaker with followers known as the G-Hives. Someone had made a death threat of her life at one of her upcoming events; so Gina calls on Jake and Terry to help find the suspect. But Jake hopes that this would bring them closer in their friendship as she keeps dodging them since she left.

When Jake and Terry spotted their suspect, they get Gina out just in time, but by the time they are at her apartment, Jake learns that she bailed on them the other night for business. As Gina tries to explain to Jake about it; she gets stabbed by the real suspect and Terry went to chase as Jake tells Gina the truth about what's been going on. Later Gina's recovering quite well with powerful meds and Jake finds out who the suspect is and soon arrested him. As Gina and Jake finally come to terms, they helped Terry reuniting with his old friend.

Holt's convinced that Charlie's son is smart; after what he thinks solved the problem. As Holt comforts Charles about it, they learn that the kid wasn't as smart as they thought as he was just in his drawing mode. Also, Rosa can't use the use of her hands due to poison oak, but she won't let that stand in her way of daily activities. That's until she gets locked in the storage closet and tries her best to get out. Amy tries to help but Rosa wouldn't let that happen until she finally calls her and asks for help. Instead of helping, Amy encourages her to get out on her own and Rosa uses her neck to unlock the door. As she gets out and celebrates; she asked Amy to help her to the bathroom.

As much as I enjoyed the return of Gina; I thought that the "Return of the King" episode was quite good. Gina and Jake's story was brilliantly well written; and strong character development between them since she left the Nine-Nine. The Rosa story was very good and hilarious. But the Holt and Charles story wasn't as good as it kind of lost interest pretty quickly. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

Decisions to Make: Life In Pieces "Birth Meddling Jacket Denial"

From meddling in someone's fight to denial about their fitness situation. Here's a recap of this week's episode of Life in Pieces.

In the first story, "Birth," Colleen asks Morgan about her birth plan for her baby. With no plan in place, Colleen shows Morgan options that lead to a home water birth and witnessed a mother going through labor in the process. As Morgan steps out, she tells Colleen she's scared and asks her to be with her when the baby comes. And not to mention, Matt gets stuck helping deliver the baby and probably faints in the pool.

The "Meddling" story was of Heather and Joan having different opinions regarding the fight between Sam and her friend. Heather doesn't want Sam to hang out with this girl anymore because she's a bad influence on her, while Joan feels that they should at least forgive and stay as friends. Joan butts in and gets Sam and her friend back together again until Heather tells Sam the truth, and not only Sam stays with her friend but asks for her signature to approve the internship.

"The "Jacket" might be one of the Jen and Greg stories so far, as Jen learns that Greg had spent a lot on something. She thinks it's her "push gift" for their second child. After a day, she found the gift of the leather jacket that she wanted and started to wear it. Soon, Greg finds out and realizes that that jacket isn't for Jen but for his mother. That makes things even weirder when not only Heather gets one but Jona as well, and Jen figures it out, but Greg did have a surprise for Jen in her jacket pocket, a necklace that was actually in Jona's pocket that says "best mother."

The "Denial" does not only feel like a PSA for men but one hell of a story showing how men act around their health. When John sees how bad Tim has been looking, he asks him to see a doctor. When Tim does, it seems things don't look all that good, and when he heads off to Sam's soccer game, Tim gets the news that he's got a severe blockage in one of the arteries and must go to the ER now. But of course, Tim doesn't and watches Sam play goalie. But John saves the day as he fools Tim to see the paramedics and soon gets a stint put in, and all is good.

"Bith Meddling Jacket Denial" was another fantastic episode that had some excellent writing but excellent character development from Colleen and Morgan's relationship and the decision on who's going to be with Morgan when the baby comes. Even the Tim story was perfect, too, and probably one of the best Tim stories this season. It should be one that all men should look at and learn. And I couldn't get enough of Jen and Greg's story as they are one of my favorites. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Life In Pieces on Thursdays at 9:30/8:30 on CBS.

The Powers That Be: A. P. Bio "Sweet Low Road"

When facing budget cuts, will Whitlock keep not only the jazz club but also Jack too? Here's a recap!

When Ralph is facing budget cuts to help make the superintendent's needs for another project. It gets not only Jack worried; but also the students. Jack sees that Ralph and Helen try to use being nice by sending the superintendent a goodie basket, but that failed straight to the garbage. Also to keep Jack, Ralph decides to make Jack Helen's assistant, but that went south for Jack really quickly. While Jack tries to come up with a plan, his students try their way to help not only save his job but also save the jazz club too.

As Jack, Stef, Mary, and Michelle go on a stakeout to spy on the superintendent to get dirt and while playing pizza slap; they finally got her on a photo kissing someone else. Trying to get Ralph to use it, he doesn't and destroys it. As Jack watches Ralph make a fool of the school, he goes back and gets the shredded photo pieces and put them back together; to show the superintendent what will happen if she doesn't stop the cuts at the school and she backs away. But Jack makes everyone from Ralph, the teachers, and his students think that they really helped save the school from budget cuts.

"Sweet Low Road" was a fine episode that got better at the end. While the story was okay; the episode really shined in the performances. From the cast from Paula Pell's scenes with Glenn Howerton; the students figuring out what to do to save Jazz and made a somewhat of a PSA jazz music video. And even the scenes with Jack and the teachers playing pizza slap were too good to pass on. And the episode ended quite good and heartwarming; for a character like Jack, that likes to take the glory most of the time, doesn't stick it in the other character's faces that he was the one that saved the school. Overall, I give this episode an 8/10.
